Chapter 59 Girls, Girls, Girls.
Lily's pov.
“Yes!” I scream in joy, “please, I want to know the genders!”
My grandmother looks up at me with a twinkle in her eyes, “well… I see a boy… he has a yellow aura, he’s happy and healthy. And a girl! Her aura is pink, she’s also healthy and happy. And…. Another girl! Her aura is purple… she’s happy! And healthy!” She smiles, squeezing my hand with hers, “the last one… it’s hard to see… oh! It’s a girl! Her aura… it’s- white… something I’ve never seen before. But she’s healthy and happy like the rest, so we have nothing to worry about.”
“Wow,” I say, “three girls…” our life is about to be a lot more hectic, I laugh to myself.
Looking towards Creed he has a huge smile on his face, “I hope they look like you,” he says softly.
“And I hope our son looks like you…” I say back, a smile also on my face. Getting up I walk towards Creed and wrap my arms around him, being so in love with this man, I don’t know what I’d do without him.
“Can you believe it? Three girls… we’re gonna have our hands full,” I say with a chuckle, fiddling with Creed's shirt, “so, do we agree on Maddox, Athena, Juniper and Mazikeen?”
“Yes,” he replies, kissing my forehead, “they are lovely names.”
“I must say… the boy is quite large,” my grandmother interrupts us, “If he keeps growing at this rate you’ll have to give birth to these babies sooner than later. Or it could be dangerous, for all of you,” my grandmother says quietly, walking towards us with a frown on her face.
“What do you mean?” Creed asks, confused. His grip on me loosening.
“I mean… Your son is huge. There’s no other way to put it, he’s growing ten times faster than any other baby, shifter or not. There’s no way he should be this size. If we need to… I will need to perform an emergency C-cection,” my grandmother explains to Creed, making both of us feel anxious.
“You’ll keep an eye on us, right?” I ask, feeling scared, searching my grandmother's eyes.
Grabbing my hand she pulls me into a hug, “of course, darling. Nothing will happen to you as long as I’m here,” she whispers into my ear, stroking a gentle hand down my hair.
I breathe out a sigh of relief, gripping my grandmother like she’s a lifeline.
“Thank you,” I whisper quietly, thankful for her.
All of a sudden a thought pops into my mind, “wait! Where is my father!” I ask frantically spinning towards Creed.
“We don’t know… he’s been missing since you disappeared. I’ve had guards on the lookout and my best trackers looking for him, but they’ve found nothing,” Creed says, putting his head down looking ashamed.
“It’s not your fault, my love. We’ll find him… and when we do, he’ll wish he never messed with us,” I say, making a promise to myself, to my children.
“I can help you with that…” My grandmother says quietly, when I look at her she has a dark expression on her face, “when you have the babies you’ll be stronger, your dragon won’t be so tired. That’s when we look for him. He can’t defeat you, especially in Athena’s body, she’s powerful, her magic is almost as powerful as mine. But Danny doesn’t know how to harness it, that is his weakness.”
“Okay, I’ll be ready. I’m not at my strongest right now but I’ll convince master shifu to come here, he’ll whip me back into shape,” I laugh, thinking about Eric. Goddess, I miss him.
“Can I just say… how excited I am to be an aunty to three girls and a boy!” Alex says excitedly, clapping her hands together, “I know this is so inappropriate but I’ve been holding it in this whole time and I just couldn’t anymore! I’m just- so happy!”
I can’t help but burst out laughing at her, a way to brighten the mood.
“No worries at all, Alex. Thank you, I needed a laugh today,” I say, giving her a small, sad smile.
“Go on, Alex. We’ll find you later, I want to discuss a few things with Glenda,” Creed says to his sister, giving her a small hug and a soft smile.
“Okay… I’ll see you later?” She asks me, a hopeful look on her face.
I pull her into a hug and whisper softly into her ear, “of course, we can have a girls night!”
‘Invite Raya,’ Sapphire whispers into my mind.
Weird… we never talked much about Raya. I didn't think my own dragon would want her there.
‘Okay..’ I answer her instead of thinking much about it.
“Okay,” Alex sighs, “I guess I’ll see you later.”
Waving bye to Alex, Creed sits down and gestures for us to do the same, “we really need to discuss Danny. I don’t feel comfortable letting him roam free, not after what he did to my mate,” he says angrily, jaw clenched.
I place my hand on his arm, to help calm him down. Within seconds I feel his body relax and he gives me a grateful smile.
“I understand, Creed. But we must let him come to us, especially with the littles on their way so soon… it could be disastrous without Lily's help. She’s the most powerful here, she has to kill him,” my grandmother sighs, running a hand over her tired face, “trust me. I would love nothing more than to know Danny Further is dead…”
A shutter runs through my body at the thought of my father…" What is he planning?” I think to myself.
‘Nothing good…’ Sapphire whispers weakly to me.
‘Just rest, my girl…’ I whisper back to her, ‘we’re going to need you. I’m going to need you… we’re the last hope at killing him once and for all.’
‘When the time comes… I’ll be ready,’ Sapphire whispers, sounding strong.
As she says that I feel a surge of power run through my body. A satisfied smirk makes it way to my face, knowing Danny will soon be sent to the Goddess.
