Chapter 110 I Want to Live Happy
Chapter 110 I Want to Live Happy
Lily’s pov.
I swallow the lump in my throat as I nod my head at my grandmother.
Wanting to know if I’m having one or more. More like needing to know.
I don’t think I’d be able to handle another multiple pregnancy.
My grandmother smiles as she places her hands gently onto my belly, closing her eyes as she concentrates.
Making my heartbeat race as I wait for her to talk.
“It’s a… girl, one baby,” she says softly, smiling at me as she looks up into my eyes.
My heart stutters at the thought of another little girl.
Four girls and one boy.
“Wow,” Creed whispers from behind me, “another baby girl.”
“Are you happy about it?” I whisper, still unsure of his feelings, even my own.
“I am,” he smiles, “I’m even more happy it’s just one in there this time!”
Everyone laughs after his words, me included.
I’m happy it’s one this time too. I don’t think we need anymore babies. One more is perfect…
“Happy birthday, Lily and congratulations on your baby girl! Now Glenda check me! Check me!” Raya says, rushing towards us to get my grandmother to check her next.
She chuckles as Raya takes a seat beside us, eagerly waiting for her answers.
My grandmother places her hands on Raya’s belly, smiling as her eyes open.
“It’s a girl!” She says happily, everyone cheering louder.
Even all of our children babbled away at the voices all around.
“What a wonderful day,” my grandmother says while smiling around at everyone, “more fledglings to add to the tribe! Happy birthday, my beautiful girl, your mother would be so proud of you right now.”
She whispers the last part, making tears come out of my eyes at the thought of my mother. Wishing she would’ve been here to meet her grand babies.
To have been able to see me become a mother.
“Let’s cut the cake!” Raya laughs as she claps her hands together, her happiness radiating off of her.
“Yes..” I sighed in content, smiling over at Creed whose eyes were on me, “let’s cut the cake!”
Everyone cheers once again as we cut into the cake, handing pieces out to everyone gathered around.
There was laughter and cheers all throughout the night, even after the children were put to sleep.
Creed and Ryan drank and sang messily, making everyone laugh harder than ever.
Raya and I sat off to the side, watching over everyone as they enjoyed themselves.
Knowing we’d have to stay sober for our babies anyways.
“Did you have a good birthday?” She asks quietly, a sad smile on her face as she looks over at me, “I know the last one you had with me around wasn’t the best.”
I chuckle as I think back to that day.
When I realized who I was, who she was.
How angry I was towards her for the lies and how betrayed I felt.
“Don’t even mention it, Raya. It’s all in the past… this is our future now, and that’s all that matters,” I mumble, smiling at my mate who is making a fool of himself across the room.
I shake my head before turning my attention back to Raya, “we were just kids. We’re adults now, I already said I forgave you.”
She smiles sadly at me before clearing her throat, “thank you. For everything, I wouldn’t have the life I have if it wasn’t for you, I am eternally grateful to you and owe you everything,” she says truthfully, it all shining in her eyes as she looks at me.
I didn’t say anything. I just nod my head once and smile slightly, feeling completely exhausted.
“I’m going to bed, I need to drag Creed with me,” I groan as I get up from the chair I was sitting in, making my way towards Creed.
“I want to go to bed too, I’ll get Ryan,” she laughs as she follows behind me.
We walk through the crowd of tribe members, making our way towards our mates.
Creed’s head snaps in my direction as he senses me near him, a huge smile taking over his face.
“Lily!” Creed says joyfully, his eyes crinkled at the sides from his happiness.
He stops what he was doing and rushes towards me, grabbing me up in his arms and spinning us around.
“Woah!” I laugh, patting his shoulders, “please, put me down! I’m carrying your child!”
He chuckles while placing me back on my feet, kissing my head fast before he pulls me away, looking at my face.
“You’re so beautiful…” he whispers while staring at me, making my stomach tingle, “I love you.”
“I love you too, Creed…” I whisper back, a small smile on my face, “are you ready to go to bed? I know I am. I can’t stay out here any longer… I was hoping you’d come to bed with me, especially since we don’t have our children tonight.”
His face lights up at my words, his eyebrows wiggling at me.
I laugh while swatting his arm playfully, rolling my eyes at his dirty thoughts.
“Not tonight, please. I am too exhausted,” I mumble, running my hands up and down his arms.
He sighs content before nodding his head.
“Of course, anything you want. Your wish is my command,” he says while taking my hand and leasing me out of the ball room.
I wave at the tribe members we pass, some stopping us to congratulate us before we leave.
Just as I thought we were about to make it out without any more interruptions, the last person I wanted to see spoke up.
“King Creed! Queen Lily!” Virginia's voice rang through my head, making us stop in our tracks.
Creed’s entire body stiffened as he turned around to face her.
Sapphire growling as she forced us to turn around also.
“What the hell do you want, Virginia?” Creed asks, slurring slightly from all of the drinks he’s consumed tonight.
“You know what I want. I want you, Creed. And I won’t stop until I have you.”
