Creed’s pov.
“Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Lily! Happy birthday to you!” Everyone sang as I carried Lily’s birthday cake towards her.
The pink frosting spelling out her name with ‘20’ beside it.
Her face was lit up with a smile, her hair pinned up into an elegant bun while she wore a black strapless dress.
I placed the cake down in front of her, Juni sitting on her lap, clapping her hands together as her mother blew out her candles.
“Make a wish,” I whisper to her, a twinkle in her eyes as she smirks up at me.
She closes her eyes, crossing her fingers on both hands, scrunching her nose up as she made her wish.
“Well? What did you wish for?” I ask teasingly, knowing the answer already.
“If I told you, it wouldn’t come true!” She says while laughing, getting up from her chair and twirling around with Juni, both of their laughter filling the room.
Raya, Ryan, Jason, Midnight, Glenda, they were all sitting at our table, each one holding a child.
I smile to myself before pulling out my phone, taking a picture so we can always remember this moment.
Especially the look on Midnight's face as she holds Maze.
I almost burst out laughing as she stood out, holding her out towards me with puke dribbling from her mouth.
“The child… has puked on me. Please, take it,” she says through clenched teeth, trying so hard to keep her cool.
I grab him from her while small chuckles slip past my lips, earning me a sharp glare.
“Well?” I say to Maze, “shall we go see what your mommy’s doing?”
She claps her hands while babbling, looking around with me, trying to find Lily.
Where is she?
“Lily?” I call out as I walk out of the ball room, wondering where else she could be right now.
It’s her birthday. She should be out here celebrating with all of us.
“Creed?” I hear her voice, but it sounds so far away.
“Lily? Where are you?” I call out again, walking farther down the hall.
“I’m… in the bathroom,” she replies, my eyebrows going up shocked.
She’s been in and out of the bathrooms a lot lately.
I opened the door the rest of the way, spotting Lily hunched over the toilet.
“The goddess, are you okay?” I ask as I try to hold her hair back with one hand, Maze’s head tilting in confusion as she watches her mother vomit.
“I’m… im…” she stumbles over her words. Her head slowly turned towards me.
Tears ran out of her eyes rapidly. Some tried ones on her cheeks, while new ones still made their way out.
“What’s wrong? Whatever it is, it’ll be okay,” I say softly, brushing a strand of her hair behind her ear.
“Creed,” she says before taking a deep breath, closing her eyes as she gathers her words, “I’m pregnant.”
My mouth opens and closes as I try to find something to say.
But my mind is foggy, and the right words won’t come out.
Pregnant? Again? So soon?
“I- I don’t know what to say? Isn’t this a good thing? Did you not want to get pregnant again so soon?” I fire off question after question. Not sure which is the right to ask at this moment.
Just as I opened my mouth to say something again I heard the babbling of Juniper in the bathtub.
I look over and there she is, playing away with the bath toys in there with her.
“I… I didn’t know what to do with her. I didn’t have time to ask someone to watch her, I had to throw up,” she groans, sitting against the wall, her head in her hands.
“I’ll take them out of here, how much time do you need to gather yourself? Should we tell everyone?” I ask, grabbing Juniper with one arm while balancing Maze on my hip.
“I’ll be okay in a few minutes, why don’t you just wait for me and we can go out and tell everyone the news,” she says, a crooked smile on her face as she looks up at us.
“Okay,” I reply softly, bouncing the girls up and down to soothe them.
She gets off of the ground slowly, taking a deep breath before walking out of the door, back towards the ball room, where all of our friends and family wait.
She stops, only to look back at us quickly.
“I’m ready,” she says quietly before smoothing her dress down and walking again, about to tell everyone we’re expecting another fledgling.
“There you are, Lily!” Glenda says quickly, grabbing her arm and leading her towards the table, “I thought you guys wouldn’t be back in time for cake!”
She quickly shoved a plate in Lily's hands, Lily smiling a little before placing it back down.
“Grandmother… guys, we have something we need to tell you all,” Lily mumbles, grabbing her grandmother's hand.
Just as they made physical contact, Glenda’s eyes widened, her mouth opening and closing.
“No!” She says dramatically, her hands flying to her mouth, “you aren’t! Are you!?"
Lily nodded her head slowly, her smile growing on her face.
“We are… we’re pregnant!”
Everyone gasps and cheers, Raya rushing towards Lily with a massive smile on her face.
“Pregnant! Again! Oh my goddess! Lily! We’re pregnant again too!” She shouts, jumping up and down while clutching Lily’s hands.
“What!?” Lily and I say simultaneously, laughing as our eyes meet.
“Yes! We’re already nine weeks along!” Raya giggles, smiling over at Ryan who has a small smirk on his face.
“Wow,” Lily sighs, shaking her head as she laughed, “I can’t believe we’re both pregnant at the same time, again! Do you know if it’s one or multiple this time?”
Raya smirked at Lily, looking towards Ryan who nodded his head at her.
“We’re actually only having one this time… I think it’s a girl,” Raya says, a permanent smile on her face.
“I hope we’re only having one this time,” Lily jokes while rolling her eyes, “I don’t think I could handle multiple again.”
“If you don’t mind, Lily,” her grandmother cuts in, “I would gladly check for you.”
