Chapter 11 Hunter And Sapphire.
Creeds pov.
You could see how mesmerized Lily was by the place I took her. A waterfall along the mountain side, that comes down into a steady stream of water, willow trees everywhere, among the willow trees there’s apple, cherry and peach trees. We have a lot of magic in our tribe, some of the last remaining dragon magic, that’s why our lands are so beautiful. I hear her gasp when she sees the dragon shifters in the air above us, I let them know we are okay for now and to mind their business about what we’re doing here. My warriors know about this place.
“It’s beautiful here..” Lily whispers
“Me and Sapphire would love to come here as much as possible, we have to practice our magic here.. Sapphire said it’ll help us out with it more since the magic is radiating off these lands”
“Alright, we can arrange something, sweetheart” I say with a smile.
You can see Lilys face heat up with blush and she quickly looks away.
“Would you like to shift now? Hunters getting antsy in my mind” I chuckle to her, she smiled and nods her head. She takes some deep breaths in and takes most of her clothing off except her bra and shorts. I remove my pants and shirt and am left in my boxers. I see out of the corner of my eye Lily trying not to check me out, I just smirk and continue on what I was doing.
Lilys pov.
I’m trying so hard to keep my eyes to myself, I tell myself not to look but Sapphire had other plans. He knows I’m ogling him too, he has that sly grin on his face. I look away with hot cheeks.
‘I could look at our mate all day Lily’ Sapphire down girl. Now is not the time, I don’t think I’d be ready anytime soon to be honest. My whole life I’ve been alone never risking even a one night stand, still a virgin at 19.
“Do you want me to shift first?” Creed asks in that deep ass voice of his.
“Sure, you can shift first. Me and Sapphire don’t mind waiting” I step away from creed to allow him space to shift into hunter. I hear the faintest sound of bones cracking and reshaping, there’s black smoke swirling around creed that gets bigger and bigger until I see him spread his razor sharp wings, he’s absolutely beautiful, pure black dragon who’s even bigger then Sapphire, he’s got the blackest eyes and sharpest tail with sharp wings. He gives me a playful roar before flapping his wings at me pushing fast air at me causing me to fall. I giggle before getting to my feet again, I shake my head at creed before I start to shift into Sapphire, purple smoke swirls around me until I’m standing in all Sapphires 13 feet of glory. I look at creed and see the fascination on hunters face, me and Sapphire shake out our wings and let out a powerful roar that shakes the trees around us! We walk towards creed with our head a little low to show our submission towards them, creed closes the distance between us and rubs his huge dragon head along mine and down my back, Sapphire basically purrs at the contact with her mate, we can’t talk in this form and since we haven’t marked each other we can’t mindlink yet. Creed flaps his wings showing he wants to fly up to the sky, something me and Sapphire haven’t even been able to do before, I try and shake my head letting him know I’m not ready to do that but Sapphire says to me.
‘Lily it’s okay, I’ll help you fly. We need to fly and be strong enough to fly in even the worst of storms. When our great battle happens you will see why we trained our wings to be strong, and why we need to be strong fliers with our mate.’
I timidly agree with her, you have to understand that yes it’s been two years of training and getting stronger, stronger minded too. But I am still that 17 year old girl who’s life was turned upside down in a day.
I walk towards creed and start flapping my wings, larger each time until we start lifting into the sky, I start to get excited but we only make it maybe 30 feet into the air before we hit the ground with a thump. Creed is quick to shift into his human form and run over to us, every step he takes you can see the worry in the way he moves.
“Lily!! Are you okay! It was stupid of me to assume you guys were able to fly! I just know that we train everyone from their first shift at 10 and well I guess you guys would’ve had the chance to try and fly..” I can see how distressed he seems to be so I shift back, letting out a small groan before standing to my feet.
“It’s okay creed, I have to get better at it, Sapphire says I have to. That we both need to be able to fly in even the worst storm”
Creeds pov.
When I saw Lily fall after trying to fly I felt like such a jackass, I should’ve talked to her before we did this so I knew where her and her dragon standed in their shifted form. I had actual stress and worry radiating off of me in waves when I was running toward her, I’ve never felt like that about anyone before in my life. When she told me it was okay and that she needed to get stronger and better at flying and that I needed to be just as strong too I was proud, proud to know I would be helping my mate and myself become that strong, being able to fly your dragon form in one of the worst storms is something not many people can do even the strongest warriors.
“Let’s try again a few times, see where we can get at and go from there? Yeah?” I ask with a small smile. I see Lily smile and nod and she grabs my hand, we shift back into all of our glory, Sapphire is beautiful, I couldn’t believe my eyes when she first shifted, I’ve never seen a female dragon before in my life, maybe when I was a young fledgling but nothing I can remember, my mother died when I was young so Danny, apparently Lily's dad, never came for us or our kingdom. I’ve heard rumours that he’s coming this way soon, his men haven’t been able to find his long lost mate and daughter, he had a bullshit story going around that someone stole them from him when I’m reality they ran away from him a long time ago.
I hear Sapphire giving off huffs and puffs so I start paying attention to what’s happening around me. Me and Lily gave Sapphire and Hunter control to spend some time together, that way they’ll always make sure we have our time together without trying to fight us for control. After about an hour of Sapphire and Hunter playing with each other and trying to assert their dominance, me and Lily took control and shifted back to our human form.
