Chapter 10 Explaining Everything
Lily's pov:
I started trying to explain from the start, how I didn’t even know who I was, that I thought I was just like any other human, how a normal day turned into something I never imagined could’ve happened.
When I noticed Raya being weird, my ma and her whispering, Raya looking like she was in space, realizing now she was probably talking to her wolf.
How apparently I am the last female dragon and my father is looking for me. Danny further. How he can never find me or I will be done.
Raya supposably being my best friend, meeting that mate and how I found him fucking Raya and rejected him, how Sapphire told me we needed to and that he wasn’t our fated mate and that we needed to find him, so he could help us stay hidden in the world.
I kept rambling on about how me and ma decided it would be for the best if we lived far away from each other so that if he found one of us the other was far away and somewhere safe, how Master Shifu took me on and trained me and that’s how I’ve been keeping on going and without him I’d be nobody.
I tell him about my relationship with Sapphire and how from the start we just clicked and knew we were always meant to be together, how we wished we could’ve been together since I was 10 and that my first shift wouldn’t have been so bad if I did have her.
I also explain how we’re part witch and that’s why we have so many different powers and we’re able to just drop our scent when we want too, how we can change our identity and that’s how we hid from him but also watched him from a distance, I told him that Sapphire and me are glad we found him and that we decided to give him a chance and give ourselves a chance at love.
The whole time I talked to him he just sat there and listened, during some things you could see his eyes widen slightly or a little growl in his chest, sometimes his adams apple would bob up and down, or even his fist would clench. You could tell this wasn’t easy for him to do but he still did it.
When I was done he asked me.
“Is that all?”
“…well yes and no,” I say
“So you’re telling me.. you’re a female dragon.. and your father is Danny farther.. the guy who destroyed our world for power, who took alpha dragon's mates for himself killing them off one by one..” Creed sounds livid.
“Creed you have to understand I have no idea who my father is, I know his name and that he’s looking for me and my mother but that’s it!” I say desperately.
‘Lily he’s not mad with us, he's mad at the situation we are in.’ Sapphire's soothing voice says in my mind.
Creeds pov.
Sitting there listening to Lily tell me her father is Danny farther and that she’s the last female dragon made me and Hunter's head feel like it was about to explode. She said her and her mom split so they would be harder to find.. how she didn’t even know who or what she was.. how she found out on her 17th birthday and went through the most painful shift ever by herself. This woman is stronger than anyone I know, me and Hunter make a promise to always protect her no matter what.
“And what is your dragon's name?” Hunter and I would love to know her dragons name and maybe we could go outside and meet each other.
She looks at me stunned waiting for me to answer her but instead I ask a question myself.
“Her name is Sapphire,” Lily whispers nervously.
“Sapphire” I say, testing the name out.
‘Wow, what a beautiful name’ hunter basically purrs
‘Something is seriously wrong with you hunter’ I laughed at him.
“Well.. i don’t really know how to say this Lily but, you’ve been through the gutter and I don’t want to make anything worse for you, only better. I promise if you accept me and hunter we’ll do everything in our power to protect you, we’ll cherish you, love you. I will do whatever necessary to keep you guys hidden and safe. I, for one, know that we would love to meet Sapphire, if that is something you guys are up for,” I finish.
You can see she has a slight blush on her face from my words, she nods her head and takes my hand.
“Id love too. Sapphire has been wanting to shift for a long time now and she’s gonna explode out of me soon if she doesn’t get out,” she laughs, “we haven’t been able to find anywhere safe, so shifting into her is kind of out of the question, you know how many female dragons there is? None,” she says before she bursts out laughing. This girl's got some twisted humour; and I like it. We chat a bit more about our dragons meeting each other.
“I want to take you to my favourite spot Lily, it’s where I go to find peace when I’m upset.”
She agrees and tells me she can’t wait to see somewhere that’s special to me. We also talk and agree that she could use the mask of Chloe so nobody knows her true identity for now. People look at us funny when we start walking outside, I am never caught with a woman, I can see people whispering and talking about us. Lily looks uncomfortable but I reassure her that everything is fine, I mindlink my tribe and tell them to not come near the east part of our lands near the border and advise my warriors to stay alert near that area and link me with any sightings of anyone.
“We’ll be able to shift without worrying soon, maybe twenty minutes of walking” I say.
Lily's pov.
I was glad Creed and I agreed to mask my identity, at least for now, I’m in hiding and I want it to stay that way but it doesn’t mean I want to risk not having love in my life. I blush thinking about the spot Creed is taking us too, I realize we didn’t bring any clothes with us either!
“Umm creed.. we didn’t bring any clothes with us” I say timidly. Im a little shy okay, i haven’t been around other people, always shifting in secluded areas.
“Don’t worry, I have some of my clothes in the area for when Hunter and I shift, you can borrow some of mine,” he says with a wink. I can feel the blush on my cheeks..
Creed definitely noticed too because I can see a sly smirk on his face.
After the walk is done I take in my surroundings and I’m in Awe.
