Chapter 102 Exile

Chapter 102 Exile
Raya’s pov.
“We need to get him to our room in the tribe house. We can’t stay here any longer! He hasn’t even met his own children yet!” I say quickly, grabbing Ryan’s hand and trying to pull him up and towards the door.

Ryan stumbles out of bed, Glenda catching his arm steadying him so he doesn’t fall.

“Raya,” Ryan groans, grabbing the bed rail, “please, slow down. I’m still weak.”

He takes deep gasps of breath, his entire face going pale with beads of sweat rolling down his forehead.

“We don’t have time for this,” Glenda says before summoning a small portal and sending us through.

It was only seconds before we came through.

When we come out on the other end we’re in our bedroom with Creed waiting for us.

“I brought them all here, Lily's still unconscious,” he mutters the last part, walking back and forth in the room while holding my boys.

I quickly help Ryan lay down on the bed before rushing towards Creed, eager to have my babies back in my arms.

“She’s not getting better yet?” I ask while reaching my arms towards him.

Creed smiles while placing them in my arms.

I laugh slightly as Aspin and Wren open their eyes and coo at me.

“No… they don’t know when she’ll wake up. It depends on Sapphire,” he says sadly.

I walk towards Ryan with a permanent smile. I’m just so proud of us, for being able to parent these beautiful boys.

“This right here, is Aspin,” I whisper as I place him in Ryan’s arm, propping it up against a pillow to stabilize them better, “and this here is Wren.”

I crouch down slightly so he can get a good look at Wren.

“They’re- perfect,” he stutters out, face turning more pale.

I quickly grab Aspin from him, looking towards the door as Glenda comes in.

“I can only teleport two people at once, I had to come back on foot,” she says, coming towards Ryan.

“Do you know what to do?” I ask nervously, looking at Ryan again.

Seeing sweat pouring down his face and chest, soaking his shirt.

“Yes, he needs to drink the blood of his fated mate,” she says casually, walking towards me with a small knife in her hand.

“That’s it!” I yell crazily, laughing at the thought of it.

“It’s not as simple as it sounds,” she replies as she steps beside me, smiling softly at Ryan, “once he starts to drink it from you he might not be able to stop…”

“I don’t want to do it then,” Ryan rasps, breathing heavily.

“You’ll do it if it’ll save you,” I say sternly, putting my wrist towards Glenda, leaving no room for an argument.

Ryan sighs but doesn’t argue, closing his eyes and not looking at me.

Something tightens in my chest but I ignore it, shoving my wrist closer to Glenda.

“Do it, he needs this,” I whisper while looking into her eyes, ready to do anything for my mate.

Glenda nods her head before grabbing my wrist and cutting it deeply.

Blood pools onto my wrist and I quickly bring it to Ryan’s mouth, urging him to drink it.

Ryan resists at first before the poison's hunger for my blood makes him unable too.

He latches into my wrist, sucking my blood out hungrily.

I wince as he drinks so much of my blood, my head feeling light.

“Ryan!” Creed snaps, walking towards us, “that’s enough!”

He tries to pry me away from Ryan but Ryan grabs my arm with his hand hard, not letting go.

“Ryan,” I whisper weakly, unable to do anything else.

Something in his eyes flickers but it’s gone as fast as it came.

Glenda starts to whisper words I can’t quite hear.

Ryan slowly stops, falling back onto the bed with a thud, his eyes closing.

“What the hell was that!” Creed says in astonishment, looking from me to Glenda with widened eyes.

“He couldn’t stop himself, he wasn’t strong enough,” Glenda says while shrugging her shoulders, “it’s what always happens… if the person has their fated mate to save them.”

Chills run through my body at her words, so grateful I could save Ryan’s life, even if he drained almost all of my blood from my body.

“Creed,” I say weakly, “you’ll have to take care of my boys for longer… I’m too weak to even hold them.”

“It’s fine, Raya. We’ll help you get in bed with Ryan and you can just rest and tell me what to do,” he chuckles, walking towards the bottles.

I laugh slightly too, Glenda helping me get into bed.

“Firstly, when was the last time you changed their diapers?” I ask, watching him frown slightly.

“Well… Alex and Beatrice came and helped me change them when you went to the healers to see Ryan, they left right away though, apparently they had a ‘date’ planned,” he mutters while rolling his eyes.

Glenda and I giggle, looking at each other in amusement.

“They should be okay then, just make sure you’re always checking to see if they need changed,” I say softly, getting cozy in bed, finally able to relax.

“Don’t worry about them, my dear,” Glenda says softly, brushing a hand down my hair, “we’ll take good care of them."

“I know,” I sigh, “but I only just had them and feel like I’ve spent next to no time with them…”

My eyes dart in the direction of my sons, tears falling from my eyes.

“Don’t worry about that, you have an entire lifetime to be with them. They need a strong and healthy mom. You can’t be there for them if you don’t recover,” she scolds me playfully, giving me a toothy grin.

“You’re right,” I breathed out, smiling back at her, “thank you.”

“Don’t mention it, my dear. Now close your eyes and get some rest,” she says softly, pulling the blanket over me.

I look towards my sons one last time, seeing Creed watching over them protectively.

I smile one last time, knowing my babies are safe.

And finally, I close my eyes and let the darkness take over.
