Chapter 46 - Baiting The Witches

Chapter 46 - Baiting The Witches
Sienna's P.O.V.

How can we have something even worse than Kakia coming after us, and why? This is becoming too much. I thought my biggest battle was going to be with King Harlan.

"Who are the demons three, and what do they want?" I try not to sound whiny, but I feel like throwing myself on the ground and throwing a tantrum like a toddler. I don't want to fight the big bad demons.

"They were banished many centuries ago for trying to take over the earth. Satan couldn't kill them, but he put them to sleep and locked them in a deep, dark hole with the intention that they would never be able to leave. Something must have woken them." Kierra explains.

"Something did wake them. Sienna and me. They have been waiting for the hidden gem and the last female Alpha with the most power from Astraea. Now that we're together, they have woken and believe we will give them a chance to take over the earth." Cassidy says. She walks over and takes my hand.

"What changed? You look like you're glowing, and your eyes are shining." Her cheeks turn pink, and she looks at Cruz.

"We marked each other. That's why I have my powers, and I feel like I'm filled with information that's been locked away for a long time." I'm glad they marked each other. Cruz still looks angry, but his feelings for Cassidy are written all over his face. He's in love.

"That's great. I don't understand why I make a difference. I don't have any power," I say. Kierra chuckles lightly.

"Sienna, your power hasn't needed to show itself yet. It will come out during the first fight. If I had to guess, I believe the witches will be first." We all look at Zion. Euphenia and Calla sent him, and I'm still not sure I trust him. He holds his hands up.

"I don't know their plan. They just want me to feed them information. Vampires get a bad reputation from the ones who go around drinking everyone's blood when most of us want to live in peace. I don't drink from humans except when I'm having sex. Other than that, I use my blood supply. The witches tried to offer me all the humans I wanted in exchange for information. I accepted just so I could come here and see what was going on. I love a good fight." I look at Kierra, and she nods. She's like our own lie detector with how she can read auras.

"If they want information, let's give them some. The sooner we begin eliminating the threats, the sooner we can all get past this. I will send a mindlink to the pack to get them ready. I still don't know who I can trust, but I don't want anyone to get hurt or killed because they're not prepared. Zion, tell the sisters that we don't consider them a threat. Make them believe we're making fun of them. Whatever you can do to get them angry enough to come after us now." I look around, and everyone nods in agreement. Zeida looks excited.

"I will call them now." Zion walks away as I mindlink the pack.

"We will have two black magic witches attacking the pack soon. Our new arrivals have made us stronger, and we're confident we'll be able to defeat them. If you're not comfortable fighting, stay inside. If you want to join us, please meet us behind the pack house." I expect many pack members to stay inside, but I'm pleasantly surprised when I see most of the pack coming from all directions.

"Elaine has the pups in the basement of the pack house. We are all ready to fight to protect our pack," one warrior says. I look around, and I'm blown away. I didn't think this many would be on my side. Almost every pack member is with us.

"Why did so many of you seem to be against me when I took over?" I have to get it out. It may not seem important, but it is to me.  I don't understand this sudden change.

"Robin and Diego told us that you helped King Harlan kill your parents so you could be Alpha. They also said you were planning to kill all of us. We knew that wasn't true when Diego shot Maverick, and they left. We're sorry, Alpha Sienna." I glance at Alisa, and she looks down at her hands as Aaron puts his arm around her.

"I should never have left with Calvin. I would have been here to help you. I feel like I didn't know my parents at all." I don't blame her for anything.

"It's not your fault you thought he was your mate," I reassure her.

"Your mom was killed years ago, and Calla took over her body." Alisa looks at Kierra in shock, and then anger flashes in her eyes.

"Let me have that bitch. She's ruined enough lives." I back away and smile.

"That's the fighter I know." She was trained by her dad, just like I was. We all turn to Zion when he returns.

"They're on their way. I told them that you all were laughing at how stupid they were. I also said you were playing pin the broomstick on the witch, and Alisa just pinned her broomstick on Calla's face. I expect them to be here any minute." We all begin laughing, picturing how angry they must be.

Thirty minutes later, we're all ready to go. Warriors and guards are lining all sides of the property. Kierra increased the protection barrier so we would know as soon as the witches breached the pack lands. All the mated pairs are holding hands.

"They're here," Kierra announces. Zeida bounces excitedly next to me.

"It's time for the appetizer. No one eat them, I'm sure their meat is sour," she says before humming a haunting yet beautiful song. The witches walk up the driveway and smile wickedly. I can't wait to wipe those smiles off their faces.
