Chapter 203 We're Here
Dakota's P.O.V.
"They'll be here in ten minutes, but now that the twins are involved, I think we should call this off. Dustin and Colton are unpredictable, and I don't like being caught off guard," I say.
"This may be the only chance we have to get all three of them. There are no explosives here, so the house can't blow up. How about we sneak everyone out the back, and our men, you, me, and Ari, wait in here?" Galdino asks.
"Okay, we need to move fast before they show up. Zakhar, can you take them to the treehouse? It's far enough away that whatever happens here, you'll be out of harm's way." He doesn't look happy, but he nods.
"I'll do it if you never call me Zakhar again. It's Uncle Zakky to you." I kiss his cheek while herding them to the back door.
"Deal. You guys need to run." I turn to look at Enzo when I hear him arguing with Valentina.
"I can't go, Mommy. I have to stay with Dakota and Ari." I lift him up and hug him tight.
"I need you to protect our family at the treehouse. It's a very important job. Can you do that for me?" I ask him as I kiss his cheek.
"Are you sure you don't need me to stay here?" he asks.
"I'm sure. I'm counting on you to keep everyone safe." He smiles and hugs me.
"Okay. Come on, let's go to the treehouse." He takes his mom's hand, and she smiles at me.
"Thank you," she says. I smile and nod as they all leave. I know my uncles want to stay, but they know better than to argue with me. Tyler, Shea, Luka, Rain, Noah, Kylie, and Sarah haven't budged.
"You guys need to go too," I tell them.
"No. We're staying right here," Tyler says, and the others nod. I don't argue because I know they can all take care of themselves.
"Fine, but stay together." I look at Shea, and she smiles slightly. She knows firsthand what the twins are capable of.
"There's a car parked across the street. It's the same one Sarah and I saw Myra get into yesterday," Xavier says as he walks into the room. I pull out Lydia's phone just as it dings that there's a message.
We're here. Do it now.
