203. The Enemies

"How dare you!"
I feel enraged as the meaning of his words reaches my ears. Just when I was about to make a move, shots were fired against us. My reflexes were faster than the bullet when I jump away and dodge a dozen of them being rained down on us.
"No! You bastard!"
The warriors are being hit! As much as I wanted to kill him but I needed to stop the snipers hiding above the trees. I must stop them or my warriors will die against the silver bullets. Damn humans!
"Stop shooting you fools!"
I have located two snipers above the branches of a tree not far from the place where we encountered Rio and his rogues. My movements are faster than the bullet they fired, for I took one man after the other, and then it makes one left.
"You are as good as I could remember your majesty! Still the fastest wolf in the land! However not fast enough to save the others!"
My eyes turned red as I watch the warriors from the Langston Palace burn in the hit of the silver bullets shot through their hearts and the head. The snipers aim for their hearts and kill them easily.
"Bastard! I will tear you to pieces!"
The anger in my voice runs throughout the veins in my body and has multiplied when Rio run fast and another bullets rain into me, I have to dodge and hide. It wouldn't kill me being powerful as an Alpha King however, the pain will slow me down. I cannot save all of them at the same time.
"Alpha Xander, Please gather all the warriors in the mansion. Rio is heading your way and be careful from the silver bullets."
I know desperation is taking a tool inside my heart. Then I hear his ragged breathing as he answered into me.
"Your majesty, I am sorry. More warriors have already fallen."
I gritted my teeth, I know that he felt the death of his warriors in the hands of the humans who shot them with silver bullets.
"Don't despair, we still have Alex and Calib. Alex is already going back there to help you Alpha Xander, please take care."
Calib is still with me fighting an enemy wolf with his sharp claws and fangs. The snipers have also stop. Damn it, they could be joining Rio and the rogues headed for the mansion.
I went down from the top of a big tree which I stay hidden from a human sniper. "Your majesty!"
Calib shouted after he conquered his opponent and ripped off his head. "Let's go Calib the rogues and Rio are heading to the mansion, Alpha Xander is in danger."
Bodies of our warriors slayed from the silver bullets and some who lost the fight against the rogues have bleed and painted the ground red. The green leaves of the plants and the flowers have all turned into blood. What was once a sanctuary for animals have turned into a death ground.
"Your majesty, I.. I have killed humans!"
Calib look down and showed a number of bodies on his feet. They were not the snipers but they hold blades made of silver and they aim to kill us, they wanted to help Rio became the next Alpha of the West.
"Don't despair Calib, I have killed far more than yours! These humans do not deserve our empathy after siding with Rio. You heard what the traitor have told me, he wanted us to fight with the humans too. The peace treaty have just been rebuke so now I declare death to all the warriors who help the traitor Rio. Humans or wolf we must kill them all to keep the peace in the West!"
I made my declaration heard throughout the mind link. To give the information in all the warriors that still remained, for Alpha Xander to not hold back in defending himself and the pack. We will do our best to save the West for Alpha Xander and his pack.
"Very well your majesty, let's go."
The sadness on his face faded and we run together with the remaining warriors heading for one direction, back in the mansion of the Alpha of the West. I leap faster with the speed that no one could keep up, I went ahead of my warriors and Calib who tries his best to not lost me out of his sight.
"Your majesty I will stay behind you please go ahead of us."
His voice sounding desperate, he worries about Alpha Xander as much as I am. Alex must be already back in the mansion, I hope he is there to buy some time until I come and kill the enemy. I am only a few minutes away to the mansion when I heard the howling of the wolves. The fight inside the mansion have already begun, the whimpers of the wolves who get hurt and lost the fight.
"Stop!"
I shouted after I leap in the tall gates of the mansion. The rogues stop and the warriors of the West snarled at them. There are more wolves groaning and whimpering on pain, I hate hearing the warriors of the Langston palace get hurt so I raise my head high and with all my strength I let out a loud growl. Showing the sharp fangs on my mouth and then my claws on the ground, I am the powerful Alpha King. The strength of my words echoed through the entire mansion and across the Western lands.
The rogues bend down and lowered themselves kneeling before me.
"Kneel before the Alpha King or I will slit all your throats with my bare claws!"
I snarled and they whimpered, replacing the silence with their cries of fear. I have this effect on the lower rank wolves, the rogues should stay in fear of my power. However, a shot is fired in my direction.
"Your majesty!"
The shout coming from Alpha Xander has me distracted and I feel the heat went through the flesh in my chest. Damn!
I groaned and squeeze on my muscles harder until the silver bullet went out of my body. "Rio! Let Alpha Xander go before I kill you!"
He is holding him on the throat. I can feel the snipers standing not far from us, so there are still two of them. The rogues have stop fighting submitting to my strength but the snipers will not. They are humans and they could not feel the urge to bow down to me.
"That is a funny thing to say your majesty knowing that I could kill Alpha Xander before you can even raise your hand to hurt me. I will maybe die but that is after this young Alpha lost his life, that I can assure you!"
"Damn you! What more do you want Rio?"
I have to think of a better way to deal with this now, it would take a little bit of time before Calib would reach us. Alex is not here I wonder where he is, when I heard a slow whimper inside the room in the house followed by the heartbeat coming from him. Alex must have hurt badly, I clenched my teeth. I could not do anything if Alpha Xander's life depended on Rio's hands.
"I want the West back under my rule, I am the Alpha of this pack! Alpha Xander should be taken away from here and the wolves who follow him should be exterminated!"
"Rio!"
My anger raised as I can do nothing. "Your majesty I am sorry."
The apology coming from Alpha Xander has done nothing to decrease the rage boiling in my heart.
"Can't you see how weak this boy is your majesty! He does not deserve to be the Alpha! I could just kill him right here and right now!
Alpha Xander's eyes connected with mine, I want to let him stay still and not provoke Rio. His sharp claws are on his neck ready to strike him and end his life but I saw something in his eyes. Hidden in his dark orbs the vengeance and anger. Alpha Xander wants to fight him and release himself from his hold.
"Can't you see how helpless this young Alpha is your majesty? So young and has no idea how to handle the role. So useless against this battle, if you are not here I would have conquered this place with just the blink of an eye! Hahaha!"
His laughter is the most disgusting sound that I have ever heard tonight. But I didn't say another word, my eyes glued on Alpha Xander and the movements he did next.
The sharp claws on his hands increased while Rio is busy with his tormenting laughter in our ears, Alpha Xander struck him in his chest using only his claws. Rio is stunned and wasn't able to move when he took his heart out and showed it to his face.
"Agh!"
Rio began choking his pupils dilating and his lips trembling while spitting blood. I was surprised too! And then the doors opened and the warriors with Calib get in. The rogues whimpered and cried watching the heart of Rio in the hands of Alpha Xander raise high for all the others to see.
