Chapter 131
Ava looked at the row of clothes with tags still on in the closet and sighed. These clothes would be taken away by William after this season and replaced with new ones.
What a waste!
She changed back into what she was wearing earlier. Now she had to wait for the designer to deliver the finished garments.
Ava looked at the man who had come home with her for dinner and to try on clothes, and she asked, "Aren't you busy today?"
After they announced their marriage at the press conference, they hadn't been apart. Ava knew that being a CEO managing tens of thousands of employees wasn't easy. He seemed to be deliberately making time to be with her.
William raised an eyebrow. "I still have two documents to sign. You drive in a bit, and I'll review the documents."
Ava felt a bit guilty. She was taking up his time and making him work on the road.
"I can drive, but my skills aren't great. Just don't complain about it."
William let out a snort of laughter. "I'm having you drive because you're slow. At your turtle pace, by the time we get to the office, I'll have just finished reading those two documents."
Ava thought to herself that she shouldn't expect to hear anything nice from him.
The two chatted in this quiet, undisturbed little world, completely unaware that news of their marriage was causing a huge stir online.
The Morgan Group's stock price shot straight up after he announced the marriage.
X's trending topics were completely dominated by news of their marriage.

Sarah smashed the TV after watching the press conference livestream.
She had no idea what else she could do to fix things.
Before, William never mentioned Ava in front of others. They had a secret marriage for three years, and Sarah thought his marriage to Ava wasn't something she needed to worry about. Things' development to this point was completely unexpected.
She used to think William would eventually marry her. Now she didn't dare think that way anymore.
Some things in the house were packed up. William had ordered her to move out this week.
Looking at those packed boxes, she went crazy and pushed them over, kicking them hard. Why should she be kicked out?
SilkGrove Estates was where she should be living, but the man she'd been thinking about wouldn't even let her stay in this crappy apartment anymore. It was too cruel.
After getting tired from kicking, she collapsed on the floor.
Her career was ruined now, and the man she wanted to protect wouldn't even look at her. She looked at the fruit knife on the coffee table, her eyes red from crying.
He probably knew she was afraid of death and didn't care about her anymore.
The feeling of a knife cutting flesh really hurt. No matter how crazy she got, she only dared to cut a little bit of skin. She'd played this trick too many times, and he didn't believe it anymore.
Just then, someone knocked on the door.
Sarah collected herself and wiped her red, teary eyes.
Only William and that man would come to this place, but she'd upset that man these past few days, and he didn't want to see her anymore either.
Sarah's face lit up with joy. Was William here?
Thinking this, she quickly stood up and rushed to the entrance to open the door.
"William."
She opened the door and called out, but instead of seeing William, she saw Emily.
"Sarah, what happened to you? Why do you look like this?"
Emily came in carrying a large gift box. Seeing the messy state of the house, she asked in confusion,
"Why did you make the house such a mess? My brother hates it when things are messy. Won't he be upset with you when he sees this?"
Sarah sank weakly into the sofa. "He won't come anymore. I'm not planning to stay here either."
Emily made a sound. "What do you mean? Did you two completely break up?"
Two more tears rolled down Sarah's face. "Emily, did you watch the news livestream? Your brother announced his marriage and said he's going to have a wedding with that woman. We're probably done for."
Emily found a relatively clear spot to put down the large gift box and consoled her,
"Sarah, how can you give up on yourself like this? My brother said he's having a wedding, but the person he's having it with could be anyone. Haven't you thought about replacing Ava and completely driving that woman away from my brother's side?"
Sarah looked up at Emily with red eyes, as if she'd found her anchor.
"Emily, do I still have a chance?"
Emily responded with full confidence,
"Why not? You and my brother are childhood sweethearts. You have over ten years of history together. I don't believe that can't compare to Ava. That woman is just a homewrecker. Let's drive her out of the Morgan Family together. Don't worry, I'll always be on your side. In my heart, there's only one candidate for sister-in-law, and that's you."
Sarah gradually perked up under Emily's comfort.
"Emily, your brother told me to move out. He said he's selling this apartment."
Emily felt indignant on her behalf.
"How could my brother do something so heartless? Sarah, don't be afraid. My brother might be temporarily bewitched by that woman, or maybe he's being pressured by my grandfather. I don't believe he would hurt you for that woman."
Sarah hugged her, and they cried together.
The phone ringing pulled her back from her thoughts. Sarah wiped her eyes and picked up her phone.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Miss Brown. I'm a real estate agent. We've been in contact before. Last time you said you wanted to buy a house at SilkGrove Estates. I just found out that a property has been listed for sale. The house is a bit old in terms of decoration. If you're interested in this property, I can recommend a renovation team to redecorate it according to your preferences."
Sarah's lips curved up. "No need. I don't mind if it's old. I want to move in quickly."
"If you have time now, shall I take you to see the house?"
"No need to look. I'll buy it. I can pay the deposit now. Please hold it for me and don't sell it to anyone else."
Hearing that there was a house for sale at SilkGrove Estates, Sarah couldn't be bothered to go look at it. She hurried to pay the deposit, afraid that if she was a minute late, someone else would buy it.
After the call, Sarah asked Steven for some money. Combined with her own savings, it was barely enough for a deposit. William had promised to buy her a house, so he could pay the rest.
After Sarah transferred the deposit to the agent, her mood improved considerably.
"Emily, your brother is going to buy me a house."
Emily was delighted. "See, I told you my brother isn't that heartless. He won't abandon you. Don't worry, I'll help supervise him."
Sarah nodded.
Emily took her hand and stood up. "Sarah, come here. Look what I brought you."
The huge gift box opened to reveal a light pink dress. You could tell from the fabric that it was expensive, fitting Sarah's delicate style.
Emily hooked Sarah's pinky finger. "Try it on quickly. I had such a hard time getting this from Michael's store. I think their store manager should be fired—she didn't even recognize me."
Sarah smiled through her tears. What woman doesn't love gifts and beautiful clothes? She held up the dress against herself.
"Emily, I haven't dared to go out lately. Why are you giving me clothes?"
Emily pushed her into the bedroom.
"Go change quickly. Tonight I'm taking you to the Morgan Group's celebration party."
