Ch. 66"Planning a wedding?"
Gracie P.O.V.

I felt my body shake because I was in someone else's arms.
I knew who that was by the scent.

It was my mother's voice, and she was holding me, speaking to me with sweet words. She was so happy for Hayes and me, and she told me how much she and Luna Ford are looking forward to being a grandmother and their father's proud papaw.
I love that she will be a grandmother; she is here for me and loves me.

Right then, I knew I was still angry at her and my father for keeping secrets from me, but I let it go for the sake of my children and mine.

I needed my mother, and I missed her. So, I hugged her, and I cried; I didn't care. I cried in my mother's arms because I needed my mommy.

"Shh, there, there, I got you, sweetheart, mommy's got you," I heard her say, and I smiled, and I still had a tight grip around her thin figure. My mom might be small, but don't fool yourself. She isn't weak, and she is strong and wise.

"I am so sorry, Mom. "I didn't mean to say those awful, cruel words to you about never wanting to see you again; I was just angry at you and Daddy." I thought he would have left us for the other woman, but I said nothing else.

Hey, shh, it's okay. First, I tried to speak, but she stopped me; then I heard her say.
"I know it's okay; it's all over with now; I am here."
"We are both here," I heard a strong voice behind me. I knew it was my father.

"Yes, but I am going to take care of her and my children," Hayes said, not in a threatening way, but something more along the lines of stay in your line and don't come into mine. That's what he is mostly saying.

"Son!" I heard Alpha Ford yell at Hayes when he was being rude, and what he told my parents, not other than the King and Queen of the Werewolves pack. Yes, Hayes and his dad are the Alpha, but my father rules over them, and no one should be disrespectful towards their superior. No one disobeyed an order and told my father what to do. It will be their last mistake.

But I heard something that shocked me.
I heard laughter.
That's when I looked over and saw my father laughing and smiling. I can't believe it. I know I wouldn't let my father hurt my love, but he may have ordered and yelled at Hayes for telling him and his wife, my mother, what to do.

"Haha, oh son," I heard my father say, grabbing his shoulder; Hayes jerked but didn't try to tell my father or shove his hand off his shoulder.

"I knew I liked you, boy!" he said, hitting the back of his head, laughing. Now then, when is the wedding?" I heard my father ask him.

I looked over at Hayes. I saw his face colored a little pink; did I expect a blush, Hayes? I thought with a smirk.

"Uh, I umm, he was speechless. What?" he said.

"My daughter is your mate. "Is that correct? "Am I right?" he said.

"Yes, sir, but-he was interrupted, stayed quiet, and my father kept talking.

"Well, then, that's all we need to know. "Then we left," he said, looking over at my mom and his Hayes' parents. He kissed me on my forehead, took my mom's hands, and pulled her away after she kissed me on the cheek. She told me she would speak later and that they loved me.
Princess, I heard my father say with a wink, and I nodded my head, smiling through tears in my eyes.

I still can't believe my father is back, and he's the King; that's who I am. I became a princess and now Luna, and when my father steps down as King, I will be the new ruler and Queen of the Moonlight Kingdom Pack.

Then, I saw Alpha and Luna hug their son, come over, kiss me, and tell me they were glad I was with their son. They also told me how excited they were to know they would be grandparents, just like my parents had told us.

"Now, come along, ladies and Alpha, let's leave these kids alone so we can go get everything ready," he said, and they all started walking towards the door.

He shook the doctor's hand and winked, and Hayes's father shook his hand and thanked him, and I saw my mom and Hayes's mother thank him and Miss Applegate for helping me, too.

I waved at them when they were leaving, and then I was alone with Hayes, the doctor, and the assistant Miss Applegate in the room. But then I was given some liquid, and they told me I was done. I saw them printing out a photo, and I realized it was of my baby boy and Hayes' baby girl.

"So, Princess Grace and Luna, I am glad to tell you, as you know, you and your children are healthy and can leave." He said, handing the photo to me.

"Here, Luna Grace, is your paperwork, so when you come back, you don't have to fill it out. So, go ahead and fill it out now, and then you can proceed. "Then, give it to me, and I will file it," she told us.

I smiled, and she started walking out the door.

Congratulations on your babies, she said, smiling, and I smiled, saying thank you, and she was gone.

Doctor Whiteson said the same, and we both smiled, but Hayes shook his hand and left through the door.
I sighed, and I had a sweet smile on my face. I felt the warmth and the love of my son and daughter inside my womb. I heard Genie giggle, and she could feel them too.

I wasn't paying attention, and I kept rubbing my hand and protecting my stomach, so I wanted to touch my stomach to feel how wonderful and happy I knew I was going to be as a mother; I just hoped I would be like my mother. What if I am not a good mother? What if I am terrible and nothing like my mom?
What if-

"Shut up, Grace! I heard Genie say, "You're going to be great, and we're going to be great!" She said comfortably and warmly inside her.
Before I could say anything back to her, to tell her thanks, I needed that.

I felt strong arms wrapped around my stomach, and his hands were on top of my belly. I heard Hayes whisper in my ear so lovingly and sweetly.

"Hey, stop overthinking," he said, chuckling behind me.
"Hmm, how do you know I was thinking?" I asked him.

I know you, princess; you might not see or believe it. But I could tell when you had this look on your face. "I know you're worried or whatever, I could tell you about you," I heard him say.

What if I am not a good mother? I didn't know what I would do if I tried to hurt my babies. I told him, and I got scared to say the following words, but he stopped me.

"Shh, princess, nothing will happen to our babies," he said.
"But- he stopped me from saying more.

"No buts, Princess, you're going to be fine, and you're not going to hurt them," So, before you speak again," he said; he knew I would talk, but he stopped me, and I had my mouth open, but nothing came out.

"You're going to be the best mom, sweetheart. I know you are."
"Come here," he said, and I did. He started rocking and comforting me, then kissed me on top of my head.
He kept repeating that I would be a great mom and loved our babies; he was happy and proud and said he loved me.

I gasped with shock, but I knew if I opened my mouth, I would ruin it.

So, I kept my mouth shut and melted in his arms, praying he wasn't just saying he loved me; I waited all my life to hear those words come out of his mouth because I loved him too.
Oh, God, don't let this be a long, dream-like state I'll never wake up from. I pray this is real, and I am not in a crazy dream. Or am I already dead and in my own reality, and that's death?
