Ch. 65 "Explaining to the parents!"

Ch. 65 "Explaining to the parents!"
Gracie P.O.V.

"Hayes, son? "What is going on?" I heard his father, Alpha Hank, ask him.

"Hello, Father and Mother, and hello, King Alpha and Queen Luna," Hayes said, and he bowed his head when he spoke to them.

They turned towards me and knew why I was there, but I didn't know what to tell them. I am still shocked and confused as they are, but I know I am not losing my babies, and they will not hurt them!

I started growling. I didn't know why it was happening. I must, since someone is trying to hurt my babies, and a mother intends to attack; however, it doesn't matter if they are your family or a stranger. All you know is that you must keep your babies safe, or you will kill whoever gets in the way of your children.

That's any mother, and right now, I could see the angry look on my mother's face, and I could see her staring over at Hayes. It's a look that could kill anybody, and right now, the watch is on him to die. But right now, I am thinking about my babies and not him.

He is on his own. I know she won't kill him, but she must have messed him up a little for getting me pregnant and not telling her he impregnated me, and now she is going to be a grandmother.

"Why am I in the hospital, and my daughter is lying on a cold bed with her shirt over her stomach?" She said it, and she didn't look happy when she did.

"Also, why didn't you both tell me I was going to be a grandma!" she said excitedly, and then I saw it. Hurt and disappointed, we kept it away from her and her father.

But I am in the same boat. I wanted to tell her with my eyes. But I'm not sure if she saw it or just looked past it, and still blames me for understanding, even though I am completely confused about this.

"Mom, I didn't know anything either five minutes ago, before you walked in the door," I told her, and I hoped she knew I was telling the truth, but I would not let anybody hurt my babies, even though I was telling her I didn't know either five minutes ago.

That doesn't mean I let them take my babies away. I will not get rid of my beautiful angels! So I thought, anger boiling inside me.

" Hey, princess, it's okay; no one is going to take the babies away," I heard Hayes say, and I felt him rocking me back and forth. I was growling and staring at them with my fangs showing, and I was giving them a warning look for them to try to get my babies.

"Take a deep breath; calm down, sweetheart." See, no one is going to try to hurt our children." I heard him say. I kept breathing fast and growling, and I could feel Genie calming down because she was the one who was growling, or was it me?

Both! I heard her say guilty because we could have attacked and killed my parents and her if they tried to hurt my children.

I started listening to Hayes and took deep breaths in and out until I began to close my eyes, trying to calm myself down. It was working, and having Hayes here with me was also a plus. It calms me down.

Yes, that's it, sweetheart; I heard him inside my ear; only I could listen to him. I didn't hear my mom, dad, or Dr. Whiteson, and his assistant, Miss. Applegate, it was like he and I were the only ones there, not the others in the room.

"Yes, princess, that's my good girl,
"Yes, breathe in and out.
"Inhale and Exhale, keep doing that; yes, that's my pest.'' I heard him say. I growled, and he chuckled. He was trying to calm me down and have a little fun. I knew I wasn't angry anymore, but he annoyed me when he called me his pest. When I hear the word "pests," it's an old habit that brings back old, hurtful feelings. I wish he would stop using that name.

"Oh, princess, I am sorry I didn't mean to make you sad; I didn't realize that word I said hurt you; I won't say it anymore." I heard him speak and kiss my forehead, which spoiled me for all others.

I don't want to act like a baby, pout, and behave like a child. That's not how I am. So, right now, I am acting like a child who needs to stop pouting like a baby, so I drop it. But he has a lot of explaining to do, not just to me, but to everyone who raised him and me!

Now that I had calmed down, I wasn't going for anybody's throat. I heard my mom and her mother standing right beside her.

" What are they having, doctor?" she asked Dr. Whiteson. Luna and my mom wanted to know if I was having a girl, a boy, or same-sex twins.

He chuckled and shone his bright purple whites at them, and I thought I saw both of them shiver just like I did when I first saw him. Anyway, he started speaking.

"Queen Harper and Luna. Ford, Gracie, here we are going to have a boy and -
Another boy! I heard my father say excitedly, and I heard Alpha Ford beside him clapping and howling with excitement, knowing it was two boys.

"Umm, now I was saying before I was rudely interrupted," he said, staring over at them; they shut up when my mother and Hayes's mother turned their heads at the newly excited papaws with a glare with their eyebrows rolled up, and you can tell they meant it by telling you to shut up and let the doctor finish it.

I tried to hold back a giggle, so I hid my mouth with my hand to avoid the wrath of my father and Alpha Ford, who were arguing with my mom and his wife.

"Oh, sorry, sir," I heard my father, the king, say to the doctor.
"But, yeah, we're sorry to continue what you were going to finish," Alpha Ford said.

" Oh, okay, what I was saying. Gracie and Hayes were expecting a boy, but he stopped because he was waiting for someone to interrupt him.
So, he continued, saying.

"Boy and a Girl," he said, smiling over at me and Hayes.
At first, I didn't hear anybody speaking until I heard them crying with joy and excitement all around us, and I felt my body shake because I was in someone else's arms. I knew who that was by the scent.

It was my mother's, and she was holding me, speaking to me with sweet words, and expressing her joy for Hayes and me. She also told me how much she and Luna Ford are looking forward to being grandparents and their father's proud papaw.
I love that she will be a grandmother; she is here for me and loves me.

Right then, I knew I was still angry at her and my father for keeping secrets from me, but I let it go for the sake of my children and mine. I needed my mother, and I missed her. So, I hugged her, and I cried; I didn't care. I cried in my mother's arms because I needed my mommy.
