Chapter 102

Chapter 102
“Unclaimed?” I could tell from the way they both flinched that was a bad thing. I could make a few guesses.

“Free use.” Kerrigan wiped their tears. “Any of our realm could claim me as theirs or just use me as they wished and discard me.”

Caspian kept his arms wrapped around the imp. The love between the two was obvious. Looking at them, I bit my lip as I wondered if I would be welcomed into their little family. Sensing my emotions, my demon gave me a questioning look. Hesitantly, I stepped towards them. Making it clear my intentions were to join them in their hug. He held out an arm to bring me to them.

I don’t know how long we stood there embracing each other but it was nice. When the fiery hair snakes started sizzling, I stepped back. Wiping the tears off my face, I looked at the imp. “Your mine now. If something happens to the demon, I get you. I already called dibs.”

The imp sniffed and gave me a pity chuckle. Caspian squeezed my arm gently. Looking down at his imp he asked how to know if we were bonded. Kerrigan shrugged. “Rumor has it that a miracle would occur.”

Frowning in confusion, I looked at the incubus. He had the same expression. The imp seemed clueless too. Straightening their chef smock, they ordered us upstairs to shower, and they’d get dinner ready while we got our freak on in the shower.

“That’s a good idea.” Caspian wiggled his eyebrows seductively. Grabbing my hand, he drug me out the door to the main stairs. Still holding my hand, he escorted me up the winding stairs to our shower. Looking at me with lust-filled eyes, he turned on the shower and the LEDs. I don’t know what was steamier, the hot water or the look in his eyes as he watched my dress fall to my ankles. For a place that was supposed to be about being clean, we did some awfully dirty things in it.

An hour later we were dressed in our robes sitting on the back deck watching the sun sink below the tree line. Kerrigan had prepared us a simple dinner of chicken fried chicken with baked sweet potatoes and corn on the cob. Chubbers was beside us gnawing on plate of shredded chicken. Kerrigan was nowhere in sight.

"Think they went to Rich’s place?” I asked as I slathered my corn in a Cajun butter sauce.

“Wouldn’t put it past them.” Caspian shook his head. “Imps are known for getting the job done. If they feel like he is threat, they will take him out.”

“So is this better or worse than starting a sex cult?” I giggled as I got side eyed. “You know I like it when you eye fuck me right?”

He looked at me hard. I felt the special tingle that only he could elicit from me. His nose flared as he detected it. Damn sex demon. I needed to distract him if I wanted any chance of eating my meal instead of being eaten.

“What do you suppose a miracle looks like when it’s between a human and a demon?” I asked as I dipped a chunk of breaded chicken into gravy. The demon in question shook his head.

“I’d say the number of times I’ve made you scream my name sounds pretty miraculous to me.” He gave me a self-satisfied smile. I rolled my eyes.

“I don’t think it’s that impressive that a sex demon knows how to please a woman.” His ego needed taking down a notch. I sipped my sweet tea nonchalantly.

“Is that a challenge, my love?” His voice was smooth as velvet. Desire flashed in his brown eyes. I frantically shook my head no. But, alas, the challenge had already been accepted. When would I remember not to taunt the demon?
