“Niklaus,” I said softly. The man was asleep on my chest, his hand holding my stomach while my fingers ran through his hair. Somewhere in the night, Niklaus ended up sleeping on my chest, I didn’t mind though. It wasn’t the first time and I found that he always slept peacefully as he listened to my calm heartbeat. His wolf put him at rest knowing that he was in his mate’s arms. Soft purrs could be heard even in his sleep. The sound made me smile as I curled my finger in his soft locks.

“Good morning,” Niklaus said gently. His voice is deep with sleep as he slowly sat up, his body hovering over mine as he looked me in the eye. The sparks I felt through my body when he did that were indescribable. My calm beating heart skipped a beat as I melted in the gaze of my husband. It surprised me how he manages to make me fall a little deeper in love with him as days go by. But then again, I guess this is what it was to be in love.

“Good morning my love,” I said softly. Putting my hand on the back of his neck. I softly brought him down connecting our lips. I could still feel him between my legs after last night’s events, not that I minded. I loved every second of it despite the soreness I felt now. I knew that Niklaus was sure to be gentle enough not to hurt me. I was the one begging him to go harder as I neared my release. My legs wrapped around him as I tightened around him. “A little sore. But I’ll be fine” I said smiling. Klaus smiled and wrapped his arms around me pulling me with him as he moved from over me and sat up, resting his back against the headrest. His hand softly massaged my arm as he hugged me.

“Have I told you how beautiful you are?” Niklaus suddenly asked knowing that he would make me blush. I looked down at my lap avoiding his eyes as my cheeks turned crimson at the compliment. Niklaus chuckled and put his finger under my chin “now, now, don’t hide your gorgeous eyes from me”

“Well, you need to stop throwing me random compliments that would have me going speechless,” I said teasing my husband who laughed and kissed my forehead. His arms tightened around me for a second before he loosened them and we both looked at the lit fireplace. It didn't winter, but it was cold, and Niklaus knew that despite him being warm-blooded due to being half-wolf. I was human, and due to my small form, I couldn’t handle the cold weather.

“You and I both know that I would not be stopping doing so my beautiful queen,” Niklaus said and I smiled playfully rolling my eyes at the compliment. Niklaus chuckled and kissed my temple.

“Now, when we were going at it last night. I don’t believe that we calculated the need of me getting up from bed to take care of this kingdom’s needs along your side” I said looking down at my lap. I already knew that I would probably end up having a limp, but if I was being honest, my body wanted Niklaus’s aggressiveness. It needed it, even begged for it. Though, I’m sure that neither I nor Niklaus thought of the need for me to get up. I certainly didn’t.

“Well, whoever said that we needed to get up?”

“The kingdom’s needs! Niklaus, we can’t neglect that we have to at least take a look at what the people need and what has been going on” I said looking at my husband with wide eyes. “I was literally inside you a few minutes ago,” Niklaus said in a teasing tone and I laughed shaking my head at him. He knew that I was shy and wouldn’t walk around the chamber not wearing any clothes, though I knew that he wouldn’t mind the show “you know, come to think about it”

Niklaus got up from bed and walked to my side of the bed lifting me in his arms making my eyes widen as his hardening member touched my bum “I believe that we would be saving water showering together”
