Chapter 61- Her Dream About Alpha Leeno
I
“What kind of a dream? Was it too scary that you even screamed while dreaming?” Boss Dar’s tone was laced with worry.
She nodded not looking at him. “Yes, it was scary. A big wolf bites my neck.”
Boss Dar’s forehead furrowed while looking at Gerthel. “Was I the big wolf in your dream, Gerthel,” he then asked while looking deeply into her eyes. "Hey, I was just trying to tease you. Don't be too worried about it, it was just a dream,” he then said grinning.
"It was like real," she said in a low voice. She could still see in her mind the fangs of Alpha Leeno, and she felt herself tremble, which was noticed by Boss Dar.
"What is it, really, Gerthel? You seemed to be really so afraid," Boss Dar asked with a furrowed forehead this time.
Gerthel fell silent for a while. She already had the urge to tell Boss Dar the truth, but she held her tongue in place. Telling him about what Alpha Leeno did and said would only bring more problems between the two men and between them.
She looked at Boss Dar and shook her head instead. "Just getting afraid thinking about being killed," she said softly.
Boss Dar's penetrating eyes delved into her eyes for a moment as if seeing through the truth of what she said. She looked away, avoiding his sharp, penetrating eyes, afraid that he might see the truth within her eyes.
"Alright. When you are ready to tell me the truth, I am glad to listen Gerthel," he then said, before he walked out of her room. His expression was formal this time.
Gerthel could not utter any word. She simply nodded and followed his retreating back with her gaze. She sighed before laying her back on her bed again. However, sleep seemed to have abandoned her already. She could not sleep thereafter.
Inside his room, Boss Dar too, could not sleep further. He could sense that something was bothering Gerthel and her act of keeping things to herself made him even more worried.
Knocking on Gerthel’s door the next day, Boss Dar was in his casual attire of khaki pants and a blue polo shirt. He looks so cool and boyish.
Awakened by the knocks on her door, Gerthel lazily climbed down from her bed. Sleep favored her at around five o’clock in the morning already, so she still feels sleepy and groggy. She even rubbed her eyes with her hands to be fully awakened.
Opening the door, Gerthel did not even ask who was knocking and outside of her door. She simply opened it and sleepily looked at the man outside her door. Suddenly, her eyes grew wide.
“Are you still sleeping? You seemed to be sleepwalking,” a grinning Boss Dar greeted her, completely awakening her.
“Boss Dar!” she exclaimed, embarrassed.
“Fix yourself, Gerthel, you will go with me,” Boss Dar stated that brought a sudden flicker of excitement in Gerthel’s eyes.

"Where are we going, Boss Dar?" Gerthel asked while they were inside the car already, and slowly getting out of the mansion's gate.
"Somewhere nearby a forest to relax." Boss Dar made a side glance at her.
"Forest?"
"Hmm, it is actually a small rest house away from the city."
"I see," Gerthel muttered.
Boss Dar just side-glanced at him and smiled mysteriously.
They passed through the city and after half an hour of travel, they entered a rough road going to the forest. While traveling, Gerthel’s expression has been changing. She furrowed deeply as the place seemed familiar to her.
“Familiar?” suddenly, Boss Dar asked with a hidden smile on his lips.
Gerthel was surprised by his question. “How did you know that this place is familiar to me?” furrowing she asked back.
“I just know. The nearer we get to the rest house, the more that you will be familiar with the place we are traveling.”
Gerthel furrowed more as she glanced at him, while Boss Dar seemed to be so relaxed while driving. She did not say any further words, instead, she focused her eyes outside of the car and as they come nearer to the rest house of Boss Dar, her heart was already dribbling as if wanting to get out of its rib cage.
She knew the place, she knew the place very well, she thought when Boss Dar stopped the car nearby. It was a place a few meters away from the forest.
“Here we are,” Boss Dar said as he alighted from the car and then walked toward the well-gated premises of wooden mid-high fences.
By now, Gerthel knew very well that she had been here in this place. She knew very well what is inside the gated premises. It is a beautiful cottage house or mini farmhouse with fruit-bearing trees around it, a mini garden beside it, with different flowering plants, a swing, with its ropes tied around two mango trees, and there is also a wooden lounge on the cottage’s small porch. She further knew very well what can be seen inside the cottage. It has a small round dining table and three chairs around it and its small living room has a wooden set of sofa, and beside it is the bedroom with a wooden dressing cabinet.
Gerthel could feel her heart almost palpitating. “Oh, goodness, don’t tell me this place is owned by Boss Dar?” she thought as she massaged her chest as she tried to pacify it. She gazed at Boss Dar, who already opened the gate of the property. He was walking back by this time to the car.
Boss Dar opened the door on the driver's side and got inside. He then faced her with a hint of a smirk on his lips. “So, is this place familiar to you, Gerthel?” he asked, this time, his lips curving an amused smile.
Gerthel looked down while biting her lips. She swallowed her saliva to moisten her throat that is starting to get dry. She then slowly looked up at him and then nodded. “I am familiar with this place. I have been here before,” she said while her face started to redden.
“Gab already bought a new pair of slippers to replace the ones that have been stolen,” Boss Dar said eyeing Gerthel with the side of his lips curving up.
“I… I’m sorry. I was not able to return it,” Completely embarrassed now, Gerthel covered her face, and when Boss Dar started to laugh, she was not able to control her laughter too. They both burst into laughter.
