THE INVITATION
DEREK.
Derek had been staring at the invitation card sent to him all morning. He couldn't believe that Alpha Drake had the tenacity to send him an invitation letter. This Alpha wasn't scared of him at all he could tell.
He contemplated if to honour the invitation or not.
But the nerve he has. If not for the fact that he wasn't thinking about attacking the werewolves or having anything to do with them since he has about internal war to fight, he would have confronted Alpha Drake for a fight.
And besides, he didn't like the fact that he had some weird feelings towards the Alpha. It was disgusting to even think of Derek heaving a long sigh. Things were just getting complicated for him. The enemies in his kingdom just won't stop attacking smaller towns and villagers. The worse part of everything was the fact that the perpetrators are not as simple as he had thought initially.
If his skilled men could not even find them then it meant that's enemies are from a different vampire clan. He had a lot to worry about and then the worse invitation came from his enemy.
"Your Majesty, What do you think about the invitation?" Sergius who had been sitting opposite him in his office asked.
"Nothing," Derek replied dryly.
"Nothing? Does this mean you wouldn't honour his invitation?"
"Exactly," Derek responded.
"Well, if you ask me, I would say you should honour the invite, I mean it's not every day you get invited by a daring Alpha. Wasn't this the opportunity you've been waiting for since the years passed?"
Derek took a glance at Sergius with a creased brow.
"I will not deny the fact that I was looking for this opportunity, but not anymore. You know better than I that these enemies are doing this just to spite me. A time will come when they might venture into my Palace. I need to think of a plan as soon as possible, and for that reason, I have no time to entertain some mindless beast."
"Yes, you are right about that, but then again, refusing his invite is as good as you telling him that you are afraid to go over to the werewolf territory."
Derek immediately sent a deadly glare in Sergius' direction.
"Impudence! He wouldn't dare say such!"
Sergius immediately knelt on the floor.
"I'm sorry for crossing the line, Your Majesty, but we all know how proud the werewolves are. Also, this could help you to broaden your search for your father's mate."
That reminds him. Since he had vowed to find his father's mate and couldn't find her in his kingdom, he'd thought of searching for her in the kingdom of the werewolves. Though he knew vampires are not entertained in the werewolves' territory, they could easily hide among the werewolves. That is one advantage they have over the werewolves.
Unlike them, they could easily find a werewolf in their midst. Even if they hide their scent. Those beasts could never hide the fact that they are beasts. It is near to impossible.
After much thought, Derek saw reasons with Sergius. He should search for her in the werewolf kingdom. He was sure she would still be alive.
His father wouldn't have died, if not for his heartbreak for missing his mate. Though he treated his mother kindly before her demise, everyone knew his father couldn't stop thinking about his mate who suddenly went missing.
Also, Sergius still wasn't wrong when he talked about how proud the werewolves are. Not honouring that invitation will be like he was scared of showing up in the werewolf's territory. And lastly, he was curious to know exactly why he was being invited by Alpha Drake.
He was sure that whatever he was inviting him for wasn't that simple. And the more reason why he had to go.
"I've made up my mind, we are going to meet Alpha Drake."
Sergius went wide in delight. How weird, he did not know why Sergius is the one happy when he isn't happy.

Derek seat in the back seat of his car watching the gigantic building in front of him. He took a glance at the invitation card given to him and glanced back at the name given to the tall building. "MAGIC MAN."
Like for real? The name sounds weird now that he had seen the building for himself. He is the owner of "KING'S DELIGHT."
His wasn't just a modelling company, his company made clothes specifically for men. The suit and....he was putting on was specifically his brand. He knew they were both in the same line of business, not that didn't seem to concern him.
They are specifically two different kinds who never coexisted from the beginning.
"So, this is famous Magic Man?" Sergius asked staring at the building. Derek didn't take....img as he did not want an extra person to know about his meeting with a werewolf Alpha.
Not that he didn't not trust his men, he just didn't want more people to know, that's all.
Derek stared at the building for a couple of minutes before making his decision.
"Let's go in now."
Sergius immediately came down from the car and walked over to the backseat and opened the door for him so he could get down.
Derek took his time getting out of the car. When he was fully out of the car, he adjusted his shirt, while Sergius shut the doors to the car, put the keys in his pocket and joined Derek.
Together, they walked into the gigantic company, looking more like the distinguished men that they are.
When they hit in, Derek was greatly stunned by how exquisite the interior of the company looked. Everything in the company seemed to be made of gold and it was so shiny. Those who have no idea about the company would even think that the company is a new one.
Now that he was in the company, he knew he would have to find the receptionist or whoever to tell him where exactly the Alpha was.
"Your Majesty, I don't think this is right I mean, you are a king and not a werewolf Alpha. And besides, he was the one who invited you. How come there isn't even a single entourage out here to welcome y-"
Just as Sergius was about to complete his statement, he suddenly heard someone speak.
"It's good to see you honoured my invitation, King Derek."
Derek didn't have to turn around to know that the person speaking was Alpha Drake.
