Alex, Blaze and River walked out in the backyard. Jackson is holding my hand, Andrew and Aurelia stare at us the same way we are looking at them, Brody's face is blank. Alex has found her mates and she has two of them, two boys. It explains it all, her attitude, her silence the last couple of weeks. I bet they recognized each other that first night, that is where all the questions came from about cheating and mates. God I wish I could drink right now, my mind is running through all kinds of scenarios. What do we do now? Should we talk to the kids? Do we move here so she can be close to them?

"What do we do now?" asks Aurelia like she read my thoughts.
"Not what my father did!" says Jackson, I hold his hand tighter.
"One thing I know for sure.....you don't need to stress out!" says Andrew looking at me. Jackson and Aurelia nod in agreement.
"Give them a few days. Let things settle. If Alex doesn't want to talk about it, I can try. She has always liked me best." smiles Brody.

Alex comes running back in the house and stops in her tracks when she sees us.

"How long have you all been standing here?"

"We just came in. We were saying goodbye to your dad's uncle. I just needed a rest so they are all keeping me company!" I lie and her facial expression is telling me she bought it.

"I want to go home. I want to go back to New York, like yesterday!" she spits out real fast.

Jackson and I look at each other. "Your mom can't fly Alex, she needs to stay here until the pups are born!"

"I can take her with me. When I leave in a week, she can stay at my place." he smiles."I can use the distraction from my annoying girlfriend and her nut mom. I don't know how good you will get to sleep though, little Samuel screams all night long!" says Brody.

Alex fiddles with her fingers. "I will think about it!" and with that she heads back outside.

"We should go back out there before anyone else comes to look for us!" I say and everyone agrees.

Jackson helps me to sit down. I am getting bigger by the minute, soon I won't be able to do anything but lay in bed. He brings me more food to eat, I have to eat small meals. It's half a sandwich from New York, I was craving these so bad.

"I have never got you to make these sounds!" laughs Jackson softly as he brushes my hair away from my face.

Aidan slides over to us and sprays me with pool water. "Dad come play with us!!!"

"Alright!!! Guys, let's go! Kids against adults." he turns to Aidan. "Put the net up while we all change!"

The music is playing softly and the weather is just amazing. The men leave and I am left at the table with my ladies, Mariella and Ashley. I need to get my mind off Alex, she is sitting by the fireplace, alone just drawing. I look over at Mina holding Harlow, she is falling asleep in her mom's arms. Ashley opens her mouth and makes a comment how Alex is just like her dad. We all ignore her.

"Mina!" I clear my throat. Kelly smiles at me. "What is happening with Zack?"

She looks around like she is trying to find the correct words. "Ummm......we are....we are dating. I don't know if that is the correct word." she takes a deep breath in. "It's too soon, tell me it's too soon!" another deep breath in. "We umm....!"

She doesn't need to finish that sentence, we all know what she is saying to us. I am hoping everything works out for her, she deserves happiness.

"Bentley and I are dating too!" admits Kelly really fast, I almost didn't catch it.

We all turn to Kat, she turns her head immediately to the pool like she is watching the volleyball game. The noise from them playing is loud, combined with the music almost drowns her out as her admission comes out.

"I don't know what it is Sarah but you just bring us together." she grins at me.

"I have missed you all so much!" nostalgia washes over me and I can't keep the emotions in anymore. A few tears fall, I have Lauren and Jennifer but they couldn't possibly fill the void these ladies left inside me when I ran.

"Are you guys going back to New York? I wish you would move here!" asked Kelly.

"I am torn, honestly. As much as I want to be here, I miss New York. My work is there, the kids school is amazing, they have two more years and then college. Aidan is going to Ohio, he has already made up his mind. Alex will probably..."

"I am going to study business. I have a few colleges I have looked into, there is one in Boston I like! I want to open up my own gallery in New York with the savings I have from my shows!" she speaks like an adult so determined, her life already planned out. I wonder if she will try to fit her mates into those plans.

"Life always happens while you are busy making plans!" says Aurelia giving Alex a soft smile.

We all nod in agreement, it's true. You think you have everything figured out but then BOOM, it all explodes in your face.

"I am not letting anything or anyone get in the way of my dreams!" she says angry, looking back at Blaze and River.

"Aunt Sarah!!!" yells Archie. "Do you think I can come visit for Winter Break?"

"Absolutely, as long as your dad lets you!" I say beaming at him. I turn to Aurelia, Kelly, Kat and Mina. "I would love if all your kids came to visit!"

"Harlow is too young but maybe I can come with her!" smiles Mina.

"That is too many kids!" adds Kelly.

"We will help!" says Lauren and Matteo's fiance.

I look across the yard and my eyes meet Ben's, he smiles and there is something different about the way he looks at me. It's soft and sweet not the way he looked at me when I was teen. He is too late, I have no interest in being anything to him. Being in the kids' lives is the only thing he will ever get from me.

"Kids deserve to be happy. I would never get in the way of that!"

Ben's eyes watered. He could have helped but he didn't, instead he berated Jackson and ignored his wishes.
