“Norwan.” Norwan looks to the one who calls him Drixie. She went straight to the hospital after learning that Norwan was there. “What happened? Where is Cora?” Drixie asked, so Norwan didn’t answer her. He looks in the operating door where Natalie is, and he’s been waiting for almost three hours outside. Norwan didn’t even expect that Drixie would go here to the hospital where he was, and he doesn’t even know what news she heard and how she knew that he was there.
“Norwan, I am asking you. Is she okay?” Drixie asked once again, so Norwan looked at her, this time with his blank aura.
“She’s dead,” Norwan said, which caused Drixie to be shocked. She even holds to the wall to gain support and avoid collapsing because of his news. Drixie was shocked, knowing that Cora was dead.
“Who… who did that to her?” Drixie said, starting to feel angry because Cora was dead.
“Did Natalie do that?” She asks with her mad voice, so Norwan looks at her once more while frowning. “Where is that bitch? I’m gonna kill here!” Drixie shouted, and her tears started to fall. Norwan didn’t know if he would laugh at his sister or if he would get mad at her. What he only thinks at this point is Natalie.
“That bitch can’t do good. She always brought–”
“What the hell are you saying, Drixie?” Norwan cuts her. Drixie frowns at him.
“Why? Are you going to defend that killer? Norwan, she’s a psycho, and she even killed babies.” Drixie said, so Norwan took a deep breath and stopped himself from creating a scenario here in the hospital where they were.
“I killed Cora,” Norwan said, which made Drixie stop. She swallows while looking at his brother unbelievably.
“W-what?” Drixie asked while her eyes were wide open. She never imagined Norwan killing Cora, and she knew this was a big mistake not only in their clan but also in the seventh circle member organization where Norwan belongs.
“Bring back what you said. Are you going to save that Natalie again from her own crime?” Drixie asks while looking at Norwan. She must stop this. She felt that Norwan was going to hide what Natalie did. Norwan will conceal her crime.
“Do you think I will believe you?” Drixie asks and laughs in disbelief.
“That’s the truth, Drixie,” Norwan said. He has no energy anymore to tell the truth to Drixie, but he will surely tell them; he’s just going to get the perfect timing for it.
“What is happening to you? Is this how she influenced you?” Norwan look to Drixie after asking that. He knows who she’s referring to, and he won’t let Drixie believe that Natalie is influencing him to be like this.
“Don’t ask me like that, Drixie. Natalie has nothing to do with this. She’s the victim here, and she’s innocent,” Norwan said in a severe voice. Drixie shook her head and gave Norwan a sarcastic smile.
“You are under her spell, aren’t you? Did she hypnotize you?” Drixie asked, and Norwan closed his eyes as his temper began to lose steam.
“Stop the crap, Drixie,” Norwan said and looked at her thoughtfully. “Natalie saves my life, and if she doesn’t do that, I am supposed to be the one who is inside that operating room,” Norwan said, so Drixie laughed.
“You’re just creating some story to make her name smell good to me,” Drixie said, so Norwan frowned. He thinks he has no choice but to tell the truth to Drixie, even though he has no strength to deal with this.
“Damn it, Drixie, stop blaming all the things that happened to Natalie. When, in fact, Cora was the one who needs to be blamed.” Norwan said, his voice shaking in anger.
“You know what that Cora did to us, huh? Well, that woman who you always keep on protecting makes us fool, Drixie.” Norwan said and pointed his finger at her.
“She hired a man to sabotage Elijah’s car break, which caused him to die; she even pretended that she was pregnant and that Natalie was the one at fault because she lost her baby when, in fact, she’s just pretending that she was pregnant in the first place,” Norwan said to Drixie which cause her to frown and that she couldn’t sink in in her mind all the information that Norwan just said to her.
“She confessed all of that to me, Drixie, before I killed her,” Norwan said blankly. “Natalie protects me from her, Cora tried to kill me when I was not looking at her, and yet Natalie sacrificed herself for me.” He became emotional after saying that, knowing that Natalie was fighting for her own life inside the operating room.
“Now, tell me… is she really worth it to protect, huh?” Norwan asked Drixie, but she didn’t answer him because she was slowly processing all the information that Norwan had just said to her, especially the part where her older brother died.
“She did that?” Drixie asked while looking directly at Norwan. Her tears started to fall, so Norwan walked closer to her and embraced her. He comforted his little sister like he did back when they were children.
“Natalie told me that Cora killed Elijah before she passed out, so I asked Cora herself, and she confessed everything to me,” Norwan said while hugging her sister, who was now crying because she suddenly remembered her older brother, Elijah.
“Why…” she said while crying. Norwan looked at her and wiped his sister's tears.
“I am sorry to interrupt.” The two look at the door where Natalie is, so Norwan starts to walk closer to it and watches the doctor remove his mask.
“How is she?” Norwan asked. The doctor gave him a small smile before he took a deep breath.
“I will get to direct to the point, Mr. North. She’s in a critical situation now since she lost so much blood. There is still one bullet inside of her body, and we can’t take it out because she’s losing blood.” The doctor said, so Norwan swallowed.
“What do I need to do?” Norwan asked. He couldn’t think straight after knowing Natalie’s situation.
“I suggest you find a blood donor for her before we do another operation to get the last bullet in her body. For now, we are not sure if she’s going to survive, especially since there is a bullet in her body; we are hoping that a miracle will happen this time.“
