Chapter 68: Donor
Norwan is sitting in a coffee shop waiting for someone to arrive; he grabs his coffee and sips it before looking at his wristwatch again and looking to the window. He sighed and leaned into his chair; he didn’t know what to do. He couldn’t think straight at this point. He is desperate to do something that could help and save Natalie from the risk of death. He doesn’t know what to do if something happens to Natalie. He will not forgive himself for not protecting her.
“Hey, sorry I am late.” Norwan looked up and saw Chad. He patted his shoulder before it sat down in front of him. Norwan gave him a small smile. He had called him yesterday to seek help, and he didn’t know where he could ask for help but from her and Chad.
“How is she?” Chad asks while looking at Norwan.
“She’s in a critical situation,” Norwan answered, looking at his first watch again.
“Are we waiting for someone?” Chad asks, so Norwan nods at him and sighs once more.
“I called her,” Norwan said, so Chad frowned. He didn’t understand what Norwan wanted to say. It took a minute before he finally understood who he was referring to.
“It’s fine,” Chad said and gave him a small smile.
“I don’t know where to ask for help, but I know you and her are the only ones who know everything about Natalie,” Norwan said, so Chad nodded at him. Chad is not mad at him. In fact, he is happy to know that Norwan calls Lynn for help. He will be able to see her again after their last time seeing each other.
“Sorry, I am late.” They both looked up and saw Lynn in her short hair and mature look. Lynn caught Chad’s look at her and gave him a small smile before sitting down beside him. Chad felt happy to see Lynn like this; he knew she was doing her best now.
“How are you?”Lynn ask.
“I am fine,” Chad answered, so Lynn looked at him and gave him a small smile.
“I am asking Norwan.” She said, so Chad shrugged at her, and Norwan smiled because of them. Lynn looked back at Norwan and sighed.
“After hearing what happened to Natalie, I came back here, and I was planning to visit her, but I don’t know where she is. Thankfully, you called me,” Lynn told him, making Norwan smile.
“She’s in a critical situation right now, and I need your help,” Norwan said to them, swallowing and sighing before he leaned back in his chair again.
“I don’t know where to get a blood donor for her,” Norwan said. “She still needs to get an operation as soon as possible because she still has a bullet inside of her body, and the doctor said that she’s losing ab blood. That’s why they need to pause the operation.” Norwan explains.
“Does the hospital not have the same blood type as her?” Lynn ask.
“They have, but it’s limited. That is what they’re using now, and still, they need more because she loses a lot of blood.” Norwan answered, so Lynn sighed, and Norwan could see her reaction, that she really cared for Natalie.
“Please, if you know someone who has the same blood type as her, let me know,” Norwan said.
“Her father,” Chad said, so Lynn and Norwan looked at him; Chad smiled at Norwan.
“Natalie and her father have the same blood type,” Chad said. “But I don’t think Don Grego already knew what happened to his daughter. He’s in the south now.” Chad said, so Norwan nodded at him.
“Do you have his contact number?” Norwan asks. Chad sees how dedicated he is to saving Natalie, so he smiles and gets his phone before he gives Don Grego’s number.
“I see you really want to save her,” Chad said, so Norwan looked at him. I just wish you had done it in the first place so this couldn’t have happened,” Chad added, so Lynn looked at him.
“Don’t blame him now, Chad. This is not the right time to blame each other,” Lynn said, so Chad chuckled and put his phone back in his pocket before he crossed his arms.
“I didn’t blame him,” Chad said, looking at Lynn.
“I am just telling you what could happen if he did it early.” He added, so Lynn just rolled her eyes at him before he looked at Norwan.
“Are you going to call and ask for his help?” Lynn asks, so Norwan nods at her. Lynn nods back.
“But you need to know that he doesn’t like you after what you did to Natalie.” She said, so Norwan looked down and sighed.
“Yeah, I know that,” Norwan said.
“And there might be a chance that he will blame you for what happened to his daughter,” Lynn said, so Norwan stopped and swallowed. “And maybe after this, he will forbid Natalie and you to see each other again.” She added, so Norwan looked at her. He saw no lies on her face, and he already knew that this and Lynn's things might happen. But he has no choice; he is desperate to do anything to save Natalie. He is willing to face her father even though he will get mad at him.
“If you want, maybe I can help you talk to him,” Lynn said, so Norwan looked at her for the second time and nodded at her.
“Sure, it will be my pleasure,” Norwan said, so Lynn smiled at him.
“I see that you really changed for her,” Lynn said, so Norwan smiled.
“Natalie saves my life,” Norwan said, looking down. I will do anything to save her,” he said. I am so foolish and a jerk that I hurt her in the past. That I choose to be with Cora rather than her.” Norwan added, so Chad smiled.
“I heard you kill her,” Chad said, so Lynn’s eyes widened.
“Really? Did your organization hear about this?” Lynn asked, so Norwan shook his head.
“No, I don’t know if they already knew about it. But I am willing to face them if ever.” Norwan answered, so the two fell into silence.
“I just did what I think he deserved to. She is the one who is behind my brother’s death; he fooled us with her pregnancy, and she tried to kill me.” Norwan said and looked at the two.
“Natalie will definitely stand by your side if your organization ever invites you to talk about these happenings,” Lynn said, so Norwan nodded at her.
“For now, we must deal with Don Grego to save Natalie,” Norwan said, and the two nodded at him.
