Chapter 181
Chapter 181
Herculian
“I was… I saw how happy the Night side is… I see how much comradery they have for each other, and the ties they share because there are so few of them. I have as many brothers and sisters as there are visible stars in my realm… I… I wished I had that.” I looked down in shame…
I’d made the very thing that killed my brothers…
“He…” This pained me… The Shame… “They were to be as brothers… My son was to pave the way for Hell and Haven to have peace…”
“You lot…” Said the Horned One. His emotionless face made me question how he felt. “The mortal is not divine enough to be a massive threat, but he does carry god’s blood. That’s enough to make him a problem should you fail him.”
“I won’t fail.” I said firmly. “Allow me to raise him. I’ll cull him myself if he lifts a finger to harm your wife.” I bowed for my son’s sake, but father’s wife was now his mate… His worry for her superseded the bastard grandson from a bastard son…
“I want you to kill the boy before he speaks.” Said father…. How could he order such a thing?
“He isn’t even born yet.” I hissed. I could feel a cold blade on the back of my neck. I knew it was possibly Michael… “Forgive my tone.” I said angrily.
“If you have qualms of tone, I hope you’re ready for mine Kneel Uriel.” Growled War. “He intends to be in his boy’s life. Lesser Contradiction cannot harm mother. Why are you so bent on this?” He hissed.
“Because I know better. The moment he speaks, he will become who he’s meant to be, a destroyer.”
“But you aren’t giving him a chance to choose his fate.” Said War. “Was it not you who encourages that?”
“You better not go deliver that creature.” Arviel growled standing, not acknowledging War’s comment. “You saw how badly she suffered.”
The God of war left.
“THAT LITTLE-” He was cut off.
“Husband do not speak for me.” Said Lia. “There’s more than enough Champions to deal with him when he’s born. Bless the child.” She said soothingly. Only her words were heard it seemed.
“I bless him with light. May it outshine the darkness in his heart.” He grumbled.
“Aris is right.” Said The Horned One in agreement with Queen Lia. “Your son came here for guidance and blessings, not ruin to his house. This is why you keep having problems with your blood…. Another, albeit quarter god of Contradiction would not have been made if there was nothing to envy.”
I felt ashamed for that envy… but it’s hard not to covet wanting love. I didn’t get to be a child. I got to be an orphan and a slave… Kaizen, even as a fugitive, was treated better than I… Diana gives me that love in her own selfish way… I left.
\----Diana----
Gods he made me so mad!
I ripped it all up! What’s the point!
Nothing matters!
I screamed in frustration, crying tears of blood on what was left of this ugly dress! I felt like Lia’s champion brood mare! Blood pooled between my legs…. It was time, but that wasn’t right.
“Mother-” I screeched at my eldest.
“Get OUT!” I screamed.
I have to fix this! I won’t have his reputation tarnished before he even has a chance to fuck it up for himself!
“You’ll make yourself go into labor!” she growled. “Stop being a child!”
“I’m Already In Labor!” I roared. “I’m early…”
I cried, and my daughter came in and hugged me. I tried fighting her off, but the intense pain that came now from overstimulating myself… I did this… I did this over a party…
What will become of a half-baked loaf?
What will my people do when my back is turned because I aided in making them so selfish, so ready to cast out the lowly?
“Guards get the medic!” shouted my eldest, and within moments, I was put on my bed.
There was so much blood… This was not natural. It felt like my child had claws, but that would be impossible.
The doctors that came to my side had all the medical equipment they could carry, by hand or magic, but I felt weakened. It was as if my son consumed me, my essence….
And a part of me was okay with it… I wanted him to live. I know Herculian will never find another, despite being more than capable of being with anyone….
“Move over.” Snorted the God of War….
“We must protect her majesty!” Said gaurds about to get themselves killed, but I weakly waved my hand.
“Let him pass. I would parley with you.” I said feeling weaker still.
“There’s nothing to parley. I’m here to help.” He said sternly. “You, add a second IV, and you, you’re useless.” He pointed to my main physician. Aris glowed orange, and held out his hand. “hold it.” He commanded.
I felt healed, but still so weak from losing so much blood.
“Push.” He commanded.
I pushed.
I pushed until I screamed and he did too.
“Fuck you got this.” He grunted. “You’re eating a lot of magic to not even be shit out yet!”
As his magic cleaned the room, and healed me, I heard my son cry.
“Thank you.” I panted. I felt like I’d run a marathon….
“He’s 17.8lbs at 3:33am, what a Nightly time. You’re welcome.” Lord Aris smiled. “Herculian saved my mother’s life. It would be wrong to allow such a fate for his girlfriend.” I saw him wave his hand over my son, and bless him. He cleaned him, swaddling him in a red blanket he created from thin air.
The ground shook as my boyfriend appeared as a ball of light, materializing in front of us.
“Name him.” I panted.
“Hillius. He reminds me of a summer day.” Herculian said being handed our son. I looked at him… He was a Lesser Contradiction… but I didn’t care. I was handed my four-year-old child, and he hugged his mother. I wish I hadn’t birthed this soon, but if I waited, he might have accidently killed me. he had claws and fangs already, but that would just mean that he’d eat meat like a bone fairy.
“Welcome Hillius to the world.” I smiled, kissing my son on the forehead. He smelled like he received the Light’s blessing, and he will have Lia’s when I do my next ritual. I could see that he was the mirror image of his father, though his skin was blessed by Arviel. He was a rich, deep brown, with white hair and eyelashes. Since his hair was different textures, I would make sure I lock it myself so he is presentable. I could tell he would have blotched skin later on as well, but I think it’ll make him look unique…
This child held magic from the God of War, and was blessed by the Lord of Light, being his kin. That means little since he has so many, but that he was formally acknowledge means that I don’t have to worry about someone attacking him like they would Alavastros.
“There is some ill fate for this child isn’t it.” I said sadly. There was a knowing look given to me by my child… soon he will talk…
“Father wants you to slay him.” Said Aris. “After all the hard work I did slaving away?!”
“He said once he draws his power, he will harm Lia. The Earth Goddess is his wife, and he puts her comfort over his life.” Said Herculian.
“Then take your son and find a solution. Unfortunately… I did what I could.” He said that as if he actually cared…. But I also care too, so I couldn’t judge.
We watched him leave as red smoke, while this moment was made bittersweet.
