Chapter 25 CHAPTER 25: Chaos Revealed

Chapter 25 CHAPTER 25: Chaos Revealed
Lucif''s POV

All these little games were becoming exhausting.

I could literally feel her from my dorm, and I didn't even hesitate to come over to school. Even if it was the last place that I wanted to be.

No part of what was happening was even a game. It was a design. Things that were done just so that Elizabeth could react.

Every single incident was time, positioned and just done so that Elizabeth could react. And she wasn't doing too good at that for now. At least not until we stepped in.

I didn't expect her to fall at our feet this time, but I at least expected the littlest bit of thanks towards us. If the other two didn't want it, I wanted it a little too much.

“And we don't want to see anyone bringing this up. Especially not to Elizabeth,” Kae said, and all the students in the crowd nodded at him. I could see his chest puff for just a second..

Damn. He must have been so proud of himself.

The students dispersed, and Elizabeth turned to us. She had tears in her eyes.

“Elizabeth,” Andy already said, taking a step towards her. I held her back immediately.

“For goodness sakes, allow her to breathe,” I said, and he took a step back immediately. She was said to be stronger than the rest of us. And she had proved it time and time again.

She should at least be given space to actually cry.

“Thank you,” she finally whispered, and I nodded my head in slight satisfaction.

I looked around, and I could see that there weren't any other students watching us.

“What are they going to say?” Elizabeth suddenly asked. “She's at the hospital.”

Kae scrunched his nose. “It's just going to be pushed under the rug like the many other cases.”

Maybe he had forgotten that Elizabeth was practically attached to two other cases. I wasn't going to be the one to bring that up. Not now.

“Listen up,” I said, and they all turned to look at me. I finally had their attention.

“Someone has been planning this whole thing,” I said, and they narrowed their eyes at me. Everyone except Elizabeth.

She nodded slightly, like she was thinking the same thing.

Smart girl.

“You haven't even been to school in a while,” Andy pointed out, and it took a lot for me not to throw a fist into his face.

“Are you going to let me speak, smarty pants?” I asked, and he closed his eyes, gesturing for me to go ahead.

“Whoever has been doing this to Elizabeth hasn't just been targeting Elizabeth. He or she has been guiding her as well. Getting her to do exactly what they want.”

Andy's gaze sharpened, Kae frowned, and Elizabeth went still.

I took a step towards them to make them pay even more attention. Invented to have their ears in my hands if I could.

“To get your powers to awaken faster.”

“That was the reason why we all felt it. No matter where we were? Right?” Kae asked, and I almost gave him a pat on the back. At least he was understanding it.

“Right,” I said.

Elizabeth looked up at me, and I didn't miss the way her lips quivered slightly.

“Marian,” she whispered, and held her breath like she was waiting for me to ask who the fuck Mirian was. I couldn't even hide the fact that I knew who the little trickster was..

“She's just part of it.”

Elizabeth's head snapped up, and she looked at me with more interest than she had ever done. Was I supposed to be proud of myself somehow?

“What do you mean by she's just part of it?”

The other two were silent, allowing me and Elizabeth to have the million dollar conversation.

“She's not powerful enough,” I said, and she swallowed hard, like she was just thinking about it.

She ran a hand through her hair. I saw the way her hands shook. She still wasn't over what just happened. She was still very much shaken by what was happening.

“How did I not think of this before?” She asked, and I smirked.

“thats why I'm here,” I said calmly, and she looked at me with some kind of administration that only lasted for a few seconds.

“So what does this mean?” Andy asked, and I went ahead to tell them about the day that I had broken into the school's systems and gotten all.the information that I had needed.

“You broke into the school's systems?” Kae asked, widening his eyes.

“At least once every week. Now pay attention to what I'm trying to explain.”

He pressed his lips into a thin line.

“Someone from inside is asking her for everything. But who?” I asked.

“Someone that has something to gain if they get their hands on Elizabeth.”

One thing we did know was that if crimes were committed too much by students, they were either expelled, or confined.

And I couldn't help but have the thought that Elizabeth was going to be confined if such a thing ever happened to her.

A shiver ran through her spine, and she sniffled slightly.

She has only spent a while here, but she has already been through a lot. Part of me had pity on her.
But then, she was born for this. She was in this school for a reason. And I just wanted to believe that she was supposed to go through all her own trials. If she didn't go through them, then she was going to be dead meat.

Thankfully, we were here to help her.

“You're not alone in this,” the three of us said at the same time, and I smirked.

Elizabeth looked at us one by one, and she gave us a firm nod, before opening her perfect lips to whisper.

“I'm not alone,” she whispered back, and that was all I needed to hear from her.

“I don't mean to scare you one more time, love,” I said calmly. “But this is far from over”
