Chapter 175: The Brooks Family's Plan

Jeremy agreed to let Arnold go to the Harvey Mansion, but it wasn't because he was scared of the Harvey family causing trouble.

Jeremy was genuinely curious if everyone in Verdantia's Harvey family was an idiot!

If the Harvey family came after him for revenge, things would get even more interesting.

The murdered Seth was just a small fry. He tried to take over the Watson family's business using such despicable methods. Did the Harvey family know about this?

To put it bluntly, Seth was asking for it. According to Amos, he even planned to go after Claire.

Anyone who dared to touch his woman wouldn't leave Sunrise alive, even if the so-called GhostHealer hadn't killed him first.

The Brooks family couldn't possibly be unaware of what happened at the Emerald Oasis Hotel!

At this moment, in the Brooks family's garden in Elysian Mountain Park.

Marvin's face was grim.

The incident happened at the Emerald Oasis Hotel, which was under the Brooks family's name. It was impossible for the Brooks family to stay out of it.

Marvin's two sons were present: his second son, Kirk, and his fourth son, Colin Brooks.

Kirk said, "Dad, it was GhostHealer who killed him. It has nothing to do with us. If the Harvey family wants revenge, let them go after GhostHealer and his apprentice!"

Marvin glanced at Kirk and said, "Use your brain!"

"Do you really think it's that simple?"

"If GhostHealer wanted to kill someone, he could do it anywhere. Why at the Emerald Oasis Hotel?"

"And I don't think this was GhostHealer's doing. If he wanted to kill, he would do it openly. Why sneak around?"

Colin, who was just an ordinary person and not a Martial Artist, had retired from his official position long ago.

He said calmly, "Dad, Kirk, I think the strangest part is Gabe. He escaped with serious injuries. If GhostHealer really wanted to kill, why leave him alive?"

Marvin nodded in satisfaction. "Exactly, that's what I think too."

"GhostHealer is a powerful Innate Realm Martial Artist. If he wanted to kill, even a TigerRankings expert wouldn't survive."

"But he left Gabe alive. Do you think GhostHealer is a merciful person?"

Kirk's mind wasn't as sharp as his brother Colin's. As a Martial Artist, he rarely needed to use his brain.

Kirk said, "Dad, then what should we do?"

Marvin replied, "For now, we do nothing. Just keep an eye on Jeremy."

After saying this, Marvin turned to Gordon and asked, "How's the situation with ThunderLord Palace?"

Gordon, Kirk's son and Marvin's grandson, replied, "Grandpa, Dad, Colin, I was just about to report on that!"

"Claire is currently in charge of Sunrise's underground world. Recently, she's been investigating our collaboration with the crime syndicate. She might have already found out about us."

Marvin said, "Claire, rumored to be Jeremy's lover. Is that true?"

Gordon shook his head. "Grandpa, I don't know."

Marvin sneered. "Regardless of their relationship, if she dares to investigate the Brooks family, make sure ThunderLord Palace's matters aren't delayed."

"No matter who's running the underground world, we keep doing our thing. If Claire keeps poking around, we’ll teach her a lesson. She needs to understand that no matter how many underground kings come and go, the Brooks family is the real power in Sunrise."

Gordon nodded. "Don't worry, Grandpa. I'll handle it personally and make sure everything goes smoothly."

Colin, looking worried, said, "Dad, is it really smart to keep working with the crime syndicate right now? Could it cause trouble?"

As an ordinary person, he had always opposed the family's involvement in such shady dealings.

The Brooks family didn't lack money or power. As long as Marvin was alive, their status was unshakable.

Kirk laughed. "Colin, you're too naive. We can't just stop these things because we want to."

"Can the Brooks family refuse ThunderLord Palace?"

To Kirk, these matters were trivial. The Brooks family was helping ThunderLord Palace, and no one dared interfere, not even the governor's office.

Marvin said, "Let's proceed as usual."

No one in the Brooks family dared to oppose Marvin's words. In the Brooks family, Marvin's word was law.

Kirk asked, "Dad, how should we deal with Jeremy?"

Jeremy had recently established the Sunshine Group, a large corporation that would undoubtedly impact the Brooks family's businesses in Starcrest.

Marvin chuckled. "We don't need to deal with Jeremy. Just wait and see. He'll face setbacks soon enough."

Kirk didn't ask further, wearing a sinister smile, while Colin felt that the Brooks family was no longer what it used to be.

Arnold headed to the Harvey Manor in Verdantia, and Jeremy wasn't idle either.

Jeremy didn't care about the Sunshine Group's business development or making money. He needed influence.

As long as the Sunshine Group could one day affect the positions of powerful people, that was enough.

But to protect the newly established Sunshine Group, he had to eliminate the cancer in Sunrise.

Or rather, the biggest cancer in all of Starcrest.

The Brooks family!

The Brooks family had done things that warranted death a hundred times over.

Human trafficking, selling organs—these were things the Brooks family did. Jeremy was already being calm by not storming the Brooks Manor.

The governor's office didn't care, the Inspectorate didn't care, but Jeremy couldn't ignore it.

As StormDragon, Avalonia's strongest WarriorDeity, even if he was branded a traitor after death, he couldn't ignore these bloodsucking tumors.

Jeremy gathered Claire, Dana, Stan, and even Susan.

Dana had almost recovered and was eager for revenge.

Victor had been killed by Claire, but one of the people who had teamed up with Victor to seriously injure her was a Half-step Grandmaster from the Brooks family.

Susan had gotten to know Claire and her team over the past few days.

After Jeremy shared his plan, Claire and Stan weren't surprised that he wanted to go after the Brooks family.

Susan, however, was curious. She thought Jeremy was too righteous, believing these matters should be handled by the authorities.

Claire said, "Just tell us what to do."
