Chapter 59
Chapter 59
"Please don't say these things just to encourage me. You should look for problems in my proposal instead. Only that way can we increase the chances of success."
William was amused by her attitude, the smile in his eyes deepening.
"I'm not saying this to encourage you. I genuinely think it's good. Your idea is the most suitable one so far. But the budget isn't enough - you need to think more about the budget."
Isabella looked serious as she stared at the design drawings in her hands.
"I know the budget isn't enough, so when designing these sections, I thought it through carefully. I didn't consider anything that would take a lot of effort."
Her finger pointed to the most attractive outdoor camping terrace. "Here, we just need to put a few camping-style chairs and tables. We don't need too many decorations."
"Then design some nice wall art and photo backdrops. These designs are all within budget."
She quietly explained the other sections. By the end, William was completely on board, and the worry in his eyes had lessened.
"Right, Isabella, just design it the way you said. Absolutely no problem. The most urgent thing now is how to communicate with the construction team. We only have ten short days. Is that really enough?"
Isabella shook her head without hesitation.
That amount of time wasn't nearly enough, but she had another approach she could try.
"We can build a basic framework. As long as we turn in a passing grade, that'll work. Building it all in these ten short days - I don't think people would dare come. There might be some safety risks. I've thought about it, and we shouldn't take that kind of risk."
Mentioning this, her eyes dimmed. No matter what, the accident at the mall last time had become a thorn in her heart.
Isabella knew clearly that since she'd already experienced that incident, she had to prevent it from happening a second time.
William agreed. "Right, turning in a passing paper is already pretty good."
They both looked up at the same time. The moment their eyes met, the air seemed to freeze slightly. Only then did they realize how close they were to each other. But neither moved. Isabella picked up another paper from the side and pushed it in front of William, her expression serious again.
"Take a look at this, too. This is the logo I designed for our design brand."
While thinking about the project today, she hadn't forgotten to consider how to design a suitable logo. The moment inspiration struck, she grabbed it. With just a few touches of her pen, an extremely simple yet memorable logo appeared.
Seeing the logo on the paper, William's eyes flashed with delight. "You designed this?"
He picked up the paper from the table very carefully, as if afraid of damaging it, examining the logo closely. Then he smiled.
"Good, really good."
When he established his company, he had also designed a logo, but his feelings then were nowhere near as excited as now.
This was a brand he and Isabella shared. Not only was he cherishing and anticipating it, but Isabella felt the same way. They were already standing on the same line. Perhaps in the future their brand wouldn't just stand in the domestic market - it might go abroad and onto the international stage.
"I just designed it casually. If you have any ideas, you can tell me. I can modify it later."
Seeing William so delighted, Isabella's eyes softened. She slowly moved closer to him, almost speaking with her head lowered.
"The preliminary work for our brand might have to be left in your hands, but don't worry. Once I finish what I'm working on, I'll definitely put all my effort into our own business."
She said "our"?
William's ears turned red. He cleared his throat and looked down at Isabella, nodding seriously.
"It's fine, I know. The most important thing for you right now is to handle what's in front of you. I'll take care of everything else. I'm behind you. You don't need to be afraid, and you don't need to be nervous."
Looking into his deep eyes, Isabella's nerves, which had been tense this whole time, relaxed a bit. She hadn't even noticed that her dependence on William had increased much more than before.
Vaguely, their interactions had already crossed the boundaries of friendship.
They talked about work for a while longer. Isabella was a bit tired. She didn't plan to go back - the design sketch only had a rough form, and there were still many details to handle.
A flash of heartache crossed William's eyes, but he didn't try to persuade her. The current exhaustion was temporary. Once they got through these tense ten days, they could completely relax.
He knew that even if he sent Isabella back, she wouldn't necessarily rest.
"Why don't you lean on the sofa and sleep for a bit? I'll stay with you."
Isabella didn't refuse. Her mind was already a bit foggy and desperately needed rest. She even forgot to tell William to go back. She lay down on the sofa nearby and fell asleep without any guard up.
William sat on the opposite sofa, his gaze fixed intently on Isabella, who was breathing evenly. He didn't know how long he stayed with her until his phone rang. Only then did he get up quietly to answer the call.
It was about his company. After finishing the call in the hallway, William returned to the office and carefully draped his suit jacket over the sleeping Isabella.
As if smelling a familiar scent, Isabella dependently half-buried her head in the jacket and slept more deeply. William's eyes softened. He walked to the desk, picked up a piece of paper and a pen, and quickly wrote a sentence. He didn't forget to fill her water cup.
In the dim light of the office, Isabella slept deeply. Finally, her vibrating phone woke her up.
Isabella looked sleepily at the name on her phone screen - it was Hayden. He wasn't sleeping in the middle of the night and was calling her. It seemed Hayden wasn't in the mood to sleep either.
She answered the phone.
"I heard you didn't go home today? The project is important, but don't wear yourself out."
Hayden's tone was flat. Isabella responded with a few perfunctory words, then got up and walked toward the desk.
She stopped mid-step, her gaze falling on the paper on the desk. Her nose tingled, and her eyes instantly reddened.
The paper read: I believe in you. You'll win.
His handwriting was clean and sharp, just like him. Isabella could even hear how steady his voice would be saying this sentence.
She walked forward and picked up the paper, carefully rolled it up, and put it in her bag. Isabella then turned up the office lights and continued working.
