Chapter 12

Chapter 12
I squinted to see in the darkness, " Noah why are you here?".

He moved fast and before I knew it he had his arm wrapped around me and was running down the side of the mansion. I screamed for help and used my free hand to punch his throat and he let go. I had no idea how I was going to land once I hit the ground but surprisingly I landed on my feet. It didn't take long for me to get my newly found vampire traits to work in my advantage. I ran towards the entrance of the mansion with what seemed like the speed of light. I made the mistake of looking back because no matter how fast I was Noah was faster. I spun around on him and began to use hand to hand combat. I grabbed the first thing I could find which happened to be a cinder block and smashed it across his face. He reached for my hair and grabbed the ends of it and tried to pull me towards him.  I fought with all of the strength I had and shoved him against a tree. He retaliated by spinning us around as I punched him and pinning me to the ground. He had his hand up against my throat trying to block off my air supply. I tried to mind link Luke and I had no idea if it was working but I hoped it had.

"Look princess", Noah sneered, "you were always meant to be with me. I made a deal with your Gramps that if he made you mine that we would join covens and become the strongest coven that has ever existed. We're going to force others to join our coven or suffer through the death of the sun."

"You both are fucking crazy!", I spat with my now raspy voice because he was still limiting my air. "When Luke and not to mention my father find out they will have  both of your fucking heads on a stake."

He laughed hysterically," no they won't because I've got my men in there right now taking care of your precious Luke and your mother. Your father has been captured  back in Alabama. You will comply with me or they will all die and you are stuck with me anyway."

He leaned in to kiss me and I took this to my advantage because as soon as he did I  released my fangs and went for his throat. I took the largest chunk out of it as I could and he tried to leap off of me but I held him to me as I continued to bite the rest of the way through his neck. By the time I was done he had been fully decapitated and I rammed my fist through his chest and grabbed his heart. I sat it on the ground and lit it on fire. It took all of two seconds for it to go up in flames and disintegrate.

I ran as fast as I could to get to Luke. I was prepared to fight as soon as I busted through the front doors but when I ran in nobody was there. I made my way to the dining hall and could hear voices. I peered around the corner to see who was in there.

" I had no intention of Lila falling in love with you and you weren't supposed to let her. I told you from the beginning that Noah was going to marry her and you were just supposed to keep her busy while all of the major details were being taken care of.", Gramps said.

" I can't help that I fell in love with her and I wasn't about to let Noah have her. She deserves better than just being a pawn in someone's plan. She deserves love and for someone to take care of her. I know you've helped me in the past and have been a great help to me but I won't stand by and watch you do this to her. She deserves love.", Luke reasoned.

"Well in that case", Gramps said, letting out a sigh, " you have to die."

Luke looked up and saw me at the door. " I love you darlin."

I spoke back to him," I will not let them kill you. I killed Noah. I'll explain later but please fight with me." His eyes sparkled and just as one of the warriors named Urial came up next to him with a katana and just as he pulled back his arm to swing Luke dodged out of the way and I was there in a flash. I pulled out the man's heart through his back and lit it a flame. I looked up and there was Serina.

" You don't have to explain anything because soon after you were kidnapped I figured it all out. I'm here to help.", she said smiling.

I grabbed the katana from the floor and began using it against anyone that came at me. Several of the warriors that disagreed with Gramps fought with us and I saw her put a wooden spear through Spencer's chest. I did a double take and she just shrugged. I felt bad that she had to kill someone she loved, but I could understand why she could. Luke and I were  in back to back combat. I was fighting with everything I had and the human in me was getting exhausted and he knew it.

" Jump on my back.", he ordered. I did as he asked and Serina kept her back to me to keep me safe and I helped them the best I could. By the time we were done we had taken out a few of the warriors of the coven which I had estimated to be at around twenty people. I jumped down from Luke's back and took his hand. I looked apologetically at Serina when put her hand on my shoulder.

" It's ok Lila. When  I figured out he was in with Noah I had to fake my way through with him and I have wanted him dead since I found out. I knew I couldn't help you if I knew because he'd have me killed so I knew when the time came I could do what I needed to do."

I hugged her," thank you so much for being there. Not just now, but all of those times before when I had no idea who you really were."

She smiled," no problem girl."

Luke was more serious, " William got away and we need to find him now."

"I have a feeling I know where he went.", I said," we need to find Jasmine."

Serina pulled us to the back of the dining hall to a small door, " it's faster if we go this way; her room is right down the hall." I opened her door to find Gramps with her naked forcing himself on her.

" You will give me a daughter that will be Queen of all queens." She was trying to kick him out of the way as she began screaming for him to stop, but he was overpowering her. We immediately went to her aid and Luke took Gramps around the neck and forced him to the floor while Serina and I helped Jasmine out of the room.

" Gramps is one sick mother fucker.", I said out loud in a disgusting realization. I immediately regretted saying it but before I could apologize Jasmine held up her hand. She pulled her robe up over her shoulders and tied it to cover herself.

" No need baby girl, he has been this way since I can remember using me for whatever disgusting use he needed."

I went for the door to help Luke with Gramps, but Serina pulled me back shaking her head. I heard a loud bang and screams of pain for help and it was over in about thirty seconds. I looked at the door as the knob began to turn. My heart was beating at a million miles an hour not knowing who was going to be on the other side. As the door opened all anyone could see was dust and the outline of a man and when he stepped out I cried out with happiness. A dust covered Luke stepped out into the light and took my hand.

" Your Gramps is gone. I lit him on fire." I kissed his dusty face and pulled him to me. Then I remembered my mom.

" We have to find my mom.", I said, panicking.
