The epilogue - Part 1
As soon as the car came to a halt, the driver was fast to get out and run to the door of Adrian's side.
He pulled the door open. But his employer didn't make any effort to step out. He kept typing his phone at a furious pace, a permanent frown was set on his wide forehead.
A sigh left me.
Nodding at the awkward driver, signaling him to leave, I turned to my achingly beautiful and infuriating husband.
"We are here," I said.
No answer.
Not even a glance.
"The pilot is waiting for us."
Ignored.
I rolled my eyes.
He has been in this foul mood since Sinister called and invited us to a very important family event in Russia. And Lilly's being there with her former yet new partner was the main reason behind the stick that stuck up my husband's ass. Lilly shifted to Russia with Sinister two months ago. And now they wanted us to be there.
Of course, my rude man didn't give a shit about his father's wishes. He said a bold 'no'. But I couldn't put down Lilly's request. So here I was, dragging him along to Russia to attend the event. He only agreed after I threatened that I would leave alone if he didn't come with me.
And there was no way my over protective husband would let me be out of his sight, especially so far in Russia. Definitely not when I was in my early nine months with his baby.
My lips pressed.
Let's see how long he can keep it on?
Making a distressed face, I let out a whimper. "Adrian…"
His head snapped to me. Electric blue eyes that I was so much in love with were alert. In a second, his arm was around me.
"What is it? Are you alright? Are you in pain?"
I shifted in my seat. "My back is hurting. I want to lie down."
I wasn't lying though. With a belly of the size of two footballs, I couldn't sit or stand for long. Not to forget the other restrictions I had along with the ones he made for me.
He cursed, rubbing my back soothingly with one hand while the other was placed on my stomach.
"I told you it's not safe for you to travel at this time. But when do you ever listen to me?"
I snuggled his chest, inhaling the heady masculine scent of his. And instantly heat pooled in my lower region.
Damn the hormones! Pregnancy made me a wanton woman. I needed him even with his slightest touch.
"Take me to the cabin."
Sighing, he took my hand bag in one hand before picking me up in his arms. Once he got us out of the car, he strode to the private jet that was waiting for us. The crease on his forehead was still on.
My lips twitched.
Leaning in, I kissed the side of his lips. His grip tightened on me.
"I love you," I whispered against his sharp jaw covered with thick stubble.
He let out a grunt. Shooting me another glare, he pulled me closer to his warm chest as he climbed up the airstairs of the jet.
The captain and flight attendants greeted us on our way inside the jet. As expected, he didn't bother to return the greetings. So I made it up with my nod and smile.
"That was really rude, you know? They greeted you."
He gently lay me down on the bed after reaching the cabin.
"That's their job to serve me and be nice to me. I pay them for that." One by one, he pulled my heels off my feet.
I shook my head. "You need to eat some honey regularly, you know? That will make you a little sweeter."
Blue eyes met my green ones, before they slid down my body.
"Oh, trust me. I taste things much sweeter than that every night and morning." The huskiness of his deep voice made me clench my legs. And that action didn't go unnoticed by him.
With a smirk tugging up his sinful lips, he came closer before leaning in. A shaky breath left me as his lips brushed mine. Tingles spread across the place he touched. It never got old.
His fingers teased my mid thigh, trailing up slowly. The knee length white dress just made it easier for him.
As I was about to pull him closer, he moved away. A mischievousness danced across those blue pools. But his hand remained in its place, slowly parting my legs.
With my heart racing, my eyes became hooded. Desire ran hot in my veins.
"Adrian, please…"
"Please what?" His tone came out dark, warm lips planted a scorching kiss on my neck.
"More," I whimpered.
When his hand teased the side of my thong, his teeth pulled my lower lip, I arched my back for more. Or should I say, I tried. My huge belly came in between.
"What do you want, love?" Almost hovering over me, his mouth made love to mine. Clutching his collar, I kissed back with as much need. "My mouth, fingers, or…"
"Everything! Make love to me, now!" I demanded, fumbling with the buttons of his shirt.
A groan left him. Big rough hand palmed my thighs. I let out a moan in his mouth.
"Fuck, baby! I love it when you are demanding. But at the same time I want to punish you so badly."
A gasp left me as his other hand made his territory over my bosoms.
I missed the sweet torturous punishment he used to give me. But when he learned about my pregnancy, he became gentle with me. Extremely cautious. And as much as I loved the wild rough nights, I loved his sweet and torturous love making too.
Pulling me up slightly, he unzipped my dress. And just as he pulled it down to bare my upper part for his eyes, two knocks landed on the door.
He let out a curse under his breath. Ignoring the knocks, he nuzzled my chest. My lips parted in pleasure.
"Mr. Larsen?"
I glanced at the door.
"What?" Snapped Adrian, still hovering over me.
He hated it if someone interrupted him when he was in the middle of ravishing me.
"Uh, umm, I'm sorry to disturb you, Mr. Larsen. But I'm here to inform you that Mr. Petrosyan is here. And he wants to meet you," replied the timid flight attendant from the other side of the door.
Dominic was here?
That meant…
Pushing my angry husband away, I sat up with some effort. While I adjusted my dress, his heated glare was on me.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"To see Dominic? I invited him to come with us. So I should go and welcome him, shouldn't I?"
His frown deepened. Wrapping his arm around my waist, he pulled me up on his lap. But he was careful so that he didn't hurt me in any way.
"He can wait." Grumbling, he snuggled my neck and nibbled on my skin. "You have teased this little guy here, who do you think will tame it now, hmm?"
I shivered. Warmth coated my cheeks.
One moment I was being demanding. And now I was shy.
"Your 'not so little guy' can wait for later. But I can't make our guests wait for us. Now let's go."
A giggle left me as I got off his lap and stood up.
"Guests? Are you talking about his guards?"
I bit my lip. "Nope. Come, you will see."
Thus I walked out of the cabin. And muttering some more curses, especially cursing his cousin, he followed me.
***
"Thank you for joining us! I thought I would have to spend so many hours alone here with your boring cousin!" I put on my teeth on full display, giving Dominic a bear hug. The smell of cigars mixed with a strong cologne hit my nostrils.
He didn't return the hug.
I didn't mind. After all, he was another petrosyan. And I was used to their lack of emotions.
Pulling away, I found my husband's burning gaze on me. In return, I blinked at him.
"You think he is fun?"
"Not at all. But I can definitely have some girl time with her." Turning to the shy, petite girl with long wavy black hair, I grinned at her.
She adjusted her glasses before giving me an awkward smile. Her hazel eyes shifted from Dominic to Adrian, then the bulky guards around us. Pulling at her long jacket, she slightly stepped closer to the tattooed Russian man.
And as if sensing her overwhelm, his darker than night eyes glanced at the tall older man dressed in black suit. At the slight tilt of his head, the man nodded before walking away along with the guards.
My lips twitched.
So Dimitri was right. Dominic Petrosyan had a new secret in his life.
"Who is she?" asked Adrian, assessing that poor girl with his calculating electric blue eyes.
She shifted in her place, color coating her cheeks.
"Complicated," Dominic replied.
Straight forward.
"Uh!" My husband nodded at his cousin, his gaze meeting mine for a second. "I know this word very well."
I rolled my eyes. He was referring to the time when I was giving him a hard time giving in.
But I was glad that at least there wasn't anymore tension between these two cousins plus best friends. After Monet's death, the differences between them started to melt. And now, after months, they were perfectly fine around each other. Just Sinister didn't get so lucky. Adrian still had some grudges against his father. But I understood. The pain he bore in his entire childhood, just some months couldn't make them go away.
At least he was civil with his father now.
"Hi, I'm Sofia! And this is my husband, Adrian."
I introduced ourselves to her.
She cleared her throat. "I know. I have heard a lot about you two. I'm…"
"Anastasia, I know! Dimitri already told me about you and…" Looking at Dominic, I sent him a wink. No emotions flashed across his stoic features. But a muscle of his jaw ticked. "Anyways, I'm so glad you're here! I was looking forward to meeting you."
"Likewise. Thank you for inviting me to your family event, Mrs. Larsen."
"Call me Sofia. No need to be formal," I said, pulling her into a hug. Well, as much as I could with my stomach in between.
But my grin soon disappeared as a sharp pain shot through my belly. A whimper left my lips.
