Waking up to the morning light and the smell of coffee Jeff and Jazzy woke up. Looking at one another smiling and about to kiss they heard footsteps and knocking. No one waited for an answer and walked in carrying food, chairs, and medicine. Guys, we need all of us on one story before we tell the families, and we will be home soon. So, let us get this done. Jazzy sat up and took her meds and started to eat.
Jeff took a sip of coffee and started telling her their side of the story coming to an end “oh, by the way, we are married.” Jazzy looked at him with no color on her face. “What?” “You let me believe that I was married to someone else? And we cannot be married it is too soon. Jeff, we barely know anything about one another.” Kissing her she became quiet. “Love, everything will be okay. If things do not work or it bothers you to be married to me, we can get divorced okay?”
“I trust you Jeff but for a wedding, I would want our families and friends there.” “I know my love, I know.” “So, what happened to Dan?” “Oh, we killed him,” “Jeff told him if he would hurt you, he would die a slow painful death. Remember?” Looking at the four J’s she hugged them all “you guys are the best.” John pulled her over and looked at her now these notes you wrote. “we all have something to say to you about them,” with the four of them looking at her she tried to walk well run away. “We need to talk about this.” Taking her back to the bed and holding her, Jay spoke for them young lady your apart of our family ever since we found you on the ship.
“You’re Jeff’s woman, but you are our sister now. There is no getting rid of us. Our family knows everything about you and wants to meet you. So, with that said we have some gifts for you.” They all pulled out things and placed them on her. She started to unwrap things. She has a purple hat, long sleeve shirts and short sleeves all purple pants were black boots, and a purple belt, two guns Jeff got her a necklace and a purple ring set.
After changing into everything, she came out to everyone’s big smiles. “Welcome to the crew, lady.” “Hmm, we need a name for her. The purple lady?” “I like it.” The guys left the room and Jeff looked at her holding a piece of paper. “What’s that?” Walking over to her, he gave it to her. “One, you are all the woman I need. Two, you’re no trouble or pain. We will have our ups and downs. Three, no man would ever tire of you. Four, the next guy will have to kill me to touch you because I will always be there forever.”
“You are my wife from this day on. But you are now a member of the four J’s. There is no leaving that my love.” Looking back at him, “I thought you did not want me with the way you were acting, and after what Dan did to me. I am sorry my husband, I will never think like that again. But will you be ok with me and my nightmares? Will you still love me when I feel ugly and used or even scared?” “I love all of you, your scars, your good, your bad every part of you. We once chased all the bad away and we will do it again, now rest we will be home soon. It will get crazy for the next few months.”
