The Day Before Meeting the Queen

Everyone was sitting in the living room eating their breakfast, talking about how the Alp had died. Leoma kept to herself, looking down at her food while she ate. Avoiding the looks of everyone, hoping no one asked her any personal questions. Knowing that there is a possibility she could be pregnant and praying it wasn’t the Alp’s if she was. Galinn had bandaged her cuts and scrapes up with Rachel’s small first aid kit. Galinn could tell Leoma was quiet, he could feel the stress and worry radiate off of her. Placing his large hand on her knee, he leaned over and kissed her on her forehead. She looked up at him and gave him a slight smile, taking a breath and letting it out, she leaned her head on his shoulder.

Galinn took her plate of food and held it out, “Rachel, can you take Leoma’s plate? Please?” he asked her.

Rachel shook her yead “Of course.” Getting up she took the plate and walked into the kitchen, scraping the food into the trashcan, rinsing it off in the sink she sat it with the other dirty plates she rinsed off.

Kalisto watched Rachel Walk into the kitchen, he could tell she was sad. She wasn’t talking much either. Most of the conversations were with the five men in the room. He followed her into the kitchen with his own plate. “Hey,”

She turned to look up to him, “Oh, Hi Kalisto…I can take your plate.” She reached out her hand to take it, but he pulled it back towards him.

“I can clean my own plate beautiful, in fact you have done all the cooking so let me wash the dishes in the sink for you.” He moved closer to her, placing his own plate in the sink. Wrapping his arm around her waist he pulled her away from the sink.

She didn’t know what to say when he wrapped his arm around her waist, he squeezed her waist with his hand before he pulled her away. Levi never really helped her with anything other than when he wanted sex. Rachel couldn’t help but giggle and her smiled grew. He smiled back at her. “Go relax, he let go of her waist and lightly smacked her butt. She jumped at the little that harder smack on her rear. He laughed at her as he turned to wash the dishes. She did as he said and walked back into the living room and sat down.

Levi could hear their conversation in the kitchen. Clinching his fists, he knew Kalisto was flirting with her. She was his when he wanted her, no one else will have her. When Rachel walked back out with that big ass smile on her face, he couldn’t help but look at her and his eyes squinted with a big frown on his face. She just ignored Levi, glowing from Kalisto spanking her.

“Everyone…I need you to listen up.” Galinn raised his voice, getting everyone’s attention. The room fell silent. Kalisto left the sink and walked into the living room so he could hear what Galinn wanted to say.

“Tomorrow morning, Kalisto, Alexios and I will be going to the place on the mountain that the Queen sent us too. I want Jed, Levi, Rachel and Leoma to stay here at the house. Do not leave. There is a lot that could go wrong, and I don’t want it to involve the four of you. I’m not sure when we will be back, but I promise….” Galinn looked into Leoma’s eyes, placing his hand on her cheek. “We will be back.”

Leoma started to cry, grabbing Galinn’s shoulders. “Shhhh, hey baby…I promise I will be back. I’m not leaving you for no reason.” He placed his finger under her chin and brought her face up to look into his eyes. “I love you baby.” Kissing her gently on the lips.

Everyone in the room wanted to give them a moment of being alone. Kalisto cleared his voice, turned around and went back to washing the dishes.

“I can help.” Alexios said to Kalisto, standing up he went into the kitchen.

Smacking Jed on the shoulder, Levi said “let’s go in the garage and make sure the guns are loaded.” They both stood up and walked into the garage. Rachel decided to load the laundry with the warriors’ dirty clothes. They couldn’t leave in gym shorts and t shirts tomorrow. She could at least make sure their clothes were washed and dry.

When everyone had left the room, Galinn deepened his kiss. Rubbing his thumb on her cheek as he held her face.

“I’m so scared Galinn. What if the Queen sends more Alp’s, or what if she comes? Or what if she kill’s you? What if ……”

“Hey” Galinn said softly to her as his thumb caressed her cheek. “I’m not going to lie to you, there are a lot of scenarios or possibilities that could happen. But….I will be back, it might take some time….but Kalisto, Alexios and I will handle this. We want to make this town our home also. You will be my wife and if you are pregnant, we will be a family.” Galinn didn’t want to mention the other issue, what if she is pregnant with the Alps monster? How would he handle it, would it kill her in the process of delivery? Would it be like the Alp or like Leoma? Would he have to terminate it? Too many what ifs. He sighed, bent his head back, closed his eyes. “Let’s go get some rest Baby, I need my sleep and so do you.

Shaking her head in agreement, they walked into the guest bedroom, shutting the door. He wanted to make love to one last time before they left tomorrow to meet the Queen.

Jed and Levi were in the garage, looking over the two rifles that were hanging on the wall. Trying to find the bullets, Jed finally found three boxes of shells on the top shelf on the wall appositive of the guns. “Looks like the guns are still able to shoot and we have enough shells, I think. Hopefully we won’t have to use them.” Levi said.

Jed noticed an old refrigerator, “Well, look at that. I bet Rachel’s dad has beer in there.” Opening it up, sure enough there was a 12 pack. “Might as well drink up Levi.” They both took a beer, went to sat on top of the freezer that held the Alp’s heart and sat drinking in silence.

lexios and Kalisto noticed Rachel was washing their clothes “Let’s go help her.” Kalisto elbowed Alexios.

“Yeah, we should, she has been doing everything for us.” Alexios said as they walked into the laundry room where Rachel was and helped her with the laundry.
