Made it back to Rachel's Home

Alexios, Kalisto, Galinn and Leoma walked up to Rachel’s home. Alexios was carrying the Tupperware bowl with the Alps heart. Everyone looked tired and each had some of the Alp’s blood on them. The curtains were closed. Kalisto knocked, not wanting to scare anyone. “We’re back!” Kalisto yelled as he opened the door not waiting for someone to respond to the knock.

Rachel, Levi and Jed walked to the living room as the others walked in. “Damn, you guys stink.” Jed said as he turned his face, trying to move away from the smell.

“We know, it’s from the Alp. It’s dead and the heart is inside the bowl.” Alexios said holding up the bowl for everyone to see. The cabin is burning, so no traces of the Alp will be left behind.”

“We are tired and hungry; I’m taking a shower with Leoma. Rachel, do you have something clean for Leoma to put on?” Galinn asked as he looked Leoma up and down with sadness in his eyes.

“Sure, let me go get something for her and I might have some shorts for you guys to put on. My dad would stay and visit so he left clothes here, I’m sure there is something for you three to wear.” She left to go in her bedroom and handing Rachel a sundress, bra and panties.

Leoma smiled softly at Rachel, “Thank you.” Tears started to pool in her eyes. Galinn looked over at her, noticing her sadness.

Galinn put his hand on her back, “Come on baby, let’s get cleaned up.” She nodded her head in agreement, and they walked to the bathroom.

“Let’s see what I can whip up for you guys to eat while everyone is getting cleaned up.” Rachel walked back into the kitchen and started to scrounge around. She had a couple dozen of eggs, sausage and hashbrowns.

“Looks like breakfast for dinner, its food in the belly.” Getting everything out she started to cook everything.

Jed appeared behind her, “Need some help?” Smiling at him, no I got it but thanks for the offer. She reached for a bowl, whisk and started cooking the food. She could still feel Jed in the kitchen staring at her. She stopped cracking the eggs into the bowl and turned to look at him. “I told him.”

“Told him what?” Jed asked, leaning against the kitchen table with his arms crossed over his chest.

“I told him I wanted to see other people. And he did tell me he loved me, but you are right, it’s time to move on.” Not looking at Jed as she talked, after saying it she started cracking the rest of the eggs.

He walked up behind her, putting his hands on her shoulders’, bending down he kissed her on the cheek. “I know it hurts, but you will know it’s the right thing to do. He will never love you the way you love him.” Rubbing her shoulder’s, he kissed her again, turning to walk out he noticed Kalisto was eve’s dropping on their conversation. Walking past Kalisto, Jed looked at him with his eyebrows drawn together wondering why he would be interested in what they were talking about.

Alexios yelled to Rachel “Rachel! Can I put this bowl in the freezer? I don’t want it to rot before we can figure out what to do next.”

Rachel yelled back “Of course, there is a freezer in the garage, put it in there I don’t want it in the house. Wouldn’t be able to sleep.”

“Got it!’ he yelled back and went through the utility room where the door to the garage was, flipping the light switch on he saw the freezer against the wall. Looking around in the one car garage he took in boxes of stuff being stored away. Lifting the lip up he sat the bowl on top of the frozen food. Looking around again he shut the lid. A couple shot guns, were hanging on the opposite wall. He had to look at them. They looked very old, looking down at his own terminator gun he could really feel the difference in technology. A worried feeling came over him. How more advanced The Forbidden World is compared to the human world. Shaking his head, breathing out a long breath. He walked back into the house.

Kalisto was watching Rachel cook, mind linking Alexios Rachel’s is really pretty. I overheard her telling Jed that she broke it off with Levi.

Alexios laughed to himself, she is very pretty Kalisto, I think Jed might like her a little more than a friend, but she keeps looking at you. Maybe you should talk to her more and after all this is settled you can make her your girl. Alexios’s mind linked Kalisto back.

Hmmm Kalisto hummed in appreciation to himself. He really enjoyed watching her cook. Turning away he walked back into the living room with the others.

Leoma and Galinn walked into the living room from the bathroom, their hair was wet, and they had clean clothes on. Galinn had basketball type shorts on and a t shirt that fit snug over his muscular body. “Who’s

next?’ Galinn asked.

“I’m fucking next, I had to carry that stench stinking heart all the way here.” Alexios walked past everyone and into the bathroom where the towels and clean clothes was sitting on the hamper for him.

The house filled with the scent of scrambled eggs, sausage patties and hashbrowns. She put a fresh pot of coffee on.

Galinn sat down and pulled Leoma on his lap, holding her to his chest. She laid her head on his shoulder. He went to rub her side, and she hissed. “Sorry baby, I forgot you had claw marks there. After we eat maybe Rachel has some gauze, I can bandage you up some.”

She nodded her head as she yawned. So tired, but the smell of the food kept her awake, Kalisto needs a shower then everyone can eat and sleep without worrying about the Alp.
