2. Two strangers
2. Two strangers
I licked my lips, looking at him and looking at him, realizing that she was wearing makeup and that his blonde hair was artificial.
"Angelo Smith?" I asked.
He looked at me, but not a casual look, it was a deep look, that look that took me so much to the past, making me remember that this man was the same one who slipped between my bones so much when I saw that deep gray like silver itself, that when We were together I felt alive, uncontrollable, eager, that now that I looked into his eyes I felt that same intensity that made me almost hear his voice calling me "Nonne." But at the same time, I felt that it was different now, before we were what we appeared to be, but, now, there were no masks, there were no secrets that divided us.
Now we were just two strangers with an intertwined past full of lust.
Two strangers who pretended they were fine, putting a wall between them that ended up destroying a part of me; one that never returned.
"Celeste". he murmured.
A tense silence grew between us, and we were just two people staring at each other again. I felt like I wanted to say a lot of things, but at the same time the words wouldn't come out of my mouth.
I cleared my throat and fastened my seatbelt as indicated by the light, warning that we were about to take off.
"Do you know any reason why they brought me to this place?" I dared to ask.
He turned his head to the side and asked with some irony:
"You do not know?"
I narrowed my eyes.
"No." I replied.
"Simple," he said, "there has been a catastrophe and they want you to go and solve it."
That?
I blinked a few times.
"But what catastrophe? why me?" I replied.
"Director Green will explain it to you later, I have nothing to do with you and your questions are already tiring me out," he said, as always, this man apparently had changed, he was still as temperamental and bitter as before.
"Then why did you approach me, Angelo?" I asked matching his ironic tone.
He straightened in the seat, licked his lips and my eyes fell on them seeing that perfect and provocative shape that always caught my attention, I thought that after so long this strange tension would fade, but it wasn't like that, remember when that same mouth He was in mine, when he kissed my breasts, when he was in the middle of my legs he made me suddenly feel hot.
I cleared my throat trying to erase from my head those images that were transmitted over and over again in my head from the past.
No, he was not the only man I was with during these 6 years, but without a doubt, there was something about him that no one could match, his way of devouring my body as if it were a delicacy, the intensity with which we were attracted to each other and the multiple orgasms that he caused me from being so excited by him; It was something I couldn't compare with anyone.
This connection with a person was rarely found; something that couldn't even be explained with words, just feel.
I cleared my throat and crossed my legs, feeling him start to warm up. The stewardess offered some drinks and I asked for a glass of wine to see if this would calm my nerves. Angelo also ordered a Whiskey for himself. When we were alone again, he murmured after a moment:
"Did you have the baby?"
I looked at him, for a moment I thought he wouldn't even comment on it, that he would act as if it never existed or happened, but it didn't, I could see real intrigue in his eyes for whatever my response was.
"Yes," I answered, "he is a very healthy child."
William was the apple of my eye, at first it was a little difficult, being a newborn, but then when he started to grow, I felt like he was my most precious treasure.
I could see a slight glint in his eyes at my response.
"Is a boy?"
I nodded my head slowly, but I didn't want to continue talking about my son, so I changed the subject by saying:
"And your wife?"
I noticed how he tensed again, he passed her hand over her mouth and some of the lipstick she was wearing ran to one side, ruining her makeup. She took a napkin out of her pocket and began to clean her face, removing part of the light base that had been left on. Uhm, he was wearing and lipstick.
"It's okay," he simply said.
So they were still married.
I couldn't think of who that lady could be or why she didn't care that this man was unfaithful to her, or maybe she didn't know?
I bit the inside of my cheek, unable to keep still, and asked:
"did You have children?"
"No."
I could see some annoyance in him when talking about her, but the truth was that he didn't know her, nor did he have the slightest idea of who or what she was like, but in my mind she was surely a Victoria Secret's model.
"And does she know that you have a son?" I asked.
He chuckled and shifted his posture to a more upright, defensive appearance as he took a sip of his drink and grimaced slightly.
"As far as I'm concerned, you told me to forget that I had a son," he said with some rancor and resentment in his voice, "no matter how much I tried to look for them on my own, I was never able to find your location. You just disappeared."
I wanted to say something, anything, but I couldn't, at that moment when I decided to leave, everything was very complicated, I barely had freedom, I just wanted to escape. In addition to the fact that our relationship was very tense; I felt like I hated him, I didn't even know him, the only thing I wanted was for him to disappear from my life and to be in complete peace.
But I didn't think I'd ever see him again.
"But that's the past now, and they don't have to affect me," he continued with a bitter smile, "nor do you have to come now to ruin my life."
We remained in a tense silence where I did not want to speak again, and neither did he, he seemed angry, with resentment, and I felt bad for half a second, however, I did not regret my decision.
The plane landed after several minutes, it felt like a short trip, but in reality it lasted almost an hour.
When we stepped onto the ground, he took off his belt and without being able to contain myself I said:
"I didn't even intend to see you today."
He pursed his lips, getting up from the seat while he fixed his clothes a little, I got up like him.
"I'm still with my wife," he confessed and then his gray eyes focused on me, "and I thank you for avoiding talking to her or talking to me while you're here, just acts like all these years, like just an illusion from a bad dream."
I frowned raising my chin at him now slightly annoyed at his mistreatment.
"In case you haven't noticed, I was practically brought here against my will. I didn't come for you, the last thing I wanted was to see you."
He took a step towards me, his intense perfume filling my nostrils; hypnotic, deep and vehement. It was as tall as I could remember, I had to raise my head to look into his eyes that deepened into mine making him stop breathing, as if he could remember everything that happened to us in the past. I licked my lips and noticed how his eyes dropped to them for half a second before looking up again. My heart was beating so fast that I thought for a moment it would burst out of my chest. He seemed to want to take another step towards me, but he stopped abruptly as if he had reacted and said under his breath:
"Stay away from me as much as possible."
Without saying anything else, he turned around and walked down the aisle of the plane.
