Chapter 45 My little woman
Alessandro's POV
I couldn't believe my eyes.
My hand clenched and unclenched, rage bubbling inside of me.
Someone assaulted my woman.
Under my nose.
The audacity
As I stared at the bruises, my heart ached. All I could see was red
My hands fell to the side of my body weakly, inner weakness hitting me immediately.
Almost throwing me back.
I couldn't protect her. She was under my wings and I couldn't protect her
My hand curled into a fist, tightening so hard, my knuckle could snap.
Not like I minded.
It wouldn't be compared to the pain she was feeling anyway
"Who... Who ...." The question wouldn't come out.
She shook her head. "Alessandro, it's nothing."
I pointed at her bruised, purple colored ribs. "That is nothing? Call me anything but don't call me stupid, Madison."
She clamped her mouth shut, swallowing hard. She looked at Dina, her eyes silently begging Dina to intercede.
Dina wouldn't look at her, she couldn't look at anybody. She just looked to the ground.
"I want to ask you who did it..."
Her eyes widened, fear evident in it.
I didn't like that they made her scared. She wasn't supposed to be scared in here.
"But I won't." Relief washed all over her face immediately I said that.
"Because I like wild goose chases." I slipped my hand into my pocket, my shoulder straight. "Because it helps me accumulate my anger for when I finally catch the culprit."
Unlike others who lose their anger as the day goes by, I don't. I pile it up and I let it consume me until it's time to exert it on that person.
When I got to her, I pulled out my hand from my pocket, placing it on her head. She raised her eyes to look up to me.
My little woman.
"And when I catch those people who inflicted pain on my woman...." An evil smirk danced on my lips. "I will make sure I take my time with them, inflicting pain little. by. little."
She bit her lips, stopping it from quivering. I caught on it too fast.
"You don't need to be scared, Raven. It's my battle now and if they dare come closer... They'd be fastening my search."
On cue, Jero entered.
My eyes darkened, anger running through my vein.
"You!" I dashed to him, gripping him by his neck.
His eyes widened, his throat making weird noises as I tightened my grip. He held my hands, his eyes begging for release.
"Don..." Madison cried softly behind me, her tone low and fearful.
My grip only released a bit - because I needed to give him an opportunity to answer my questions.
"Who did this to her?" I asked, my tone cold.
"I ... I don't know. I'm sorry!" He choked out, his eyes red.
A sadistic evil laughter erupted my lips, it sounded emotionless.
"Of course you don't know. You never fucking know anything"
I scoffed, tightening my grip.
I always got rid of people who couldn't do their jobs perfectly well.
Anybody at all.
Mercy was never in my book.
"You know how I hate incompetent pricks." I growled lowly, my eyes cold. I could barely process what was going on as rage took over the control wheel of my body
"D..don... One more chance." He choked out, coughing in-between his plea.
Suddenly, my hand loosened around his neck. The rage disappeared.
It wasn't because of what he said.
It was her
My eyes moved to the ground slowly, where she wrapped her hand around one of my leg.
She didn't need to say the words.
I understood her clearly.
But what I couldn't comprehend was how my body reacted to her unspoken words, to her touch.
"GET OUT!" I screamed at him, eyeing him with my side eyes. "Don't you ever fucking let this repeat itself too or you'd be wiped off the face of earth."
Dina's lips turned up into a warm smile but it disappeared immediately I glared at her too.
"Go do your duty." I spat scornfully. "And get her something to eat."
Dina nodded, walking away with the props she came in with.
A long sigh left my lips, I pulled my leg back, away from her. "Don't ever kneel except I'm filling your pretty mouth with my cock."
Her eyes widened and then her cheeks turned into a brighter shade of red.
"Sorry." She muttered. "Thank you too."
My face turned cold.
I didn't do anything for her.
"I pardoned him because I still need him, not because you fucking knelt."
Those were the words I wanted to believe
The words I chanted in my heart silently.
"Oh." Her smile fell as she bobbed her head up and down, slowly.
I held her hand before she could walk away from me. She raised her eyebrow up at me, her face still pale.
And because you are comfortable around him
Because I didn't want you to feel like you were the cause of his death
All those I wanted to tell her but nothing would come out
"I'll stay with you tonight."
She shook her head frantically. "No. No, you won't. You don't have to, I'm fine." She had this horrified look on her face
I creased my eyebrow in confusion. "I said, I want to stay with you tonight, Raven." I repeated carefully, my eyes searching hers.
What was going on?
"And I don't want you to. I ... I need space." She pulled her hand away from my grip, avoiding eye contact with me.
"Madison!" I barked, making her flinch. I walked up to her face, raising it up with my fingers placed under her chin. "Look at me while I'm talking to you."
She shut her eyes for a few second and then she opened it. "I... I -"
"It's about me." My eyes pierced through hers, uncovering what was going on. "They threatened you with me."
"Yes - I mean, no. No. It's not about you." She tried to move away from me. My reflexes were too good, I held her waist immediately.
She swallowed hard.
"Unfortunately, I love threats and I'd love to see them do their worse." I pulled her closer, grazing her cheek with my thumb.
She sighed in defeat, leaning into my touch.
Good girl.
"Let's get you fed and put to bed, okay?" I patted her head softly.
She nodded weakly, her cheek red again. She really couldn't hide when she blushed.
"I... I need to pee." She said shyly. I swear, she was trying to run away from this - our closeness.
I watched how her chest heaved up and down, heavily. I noticed how her eyes stole quick glances at my face - my lips precisely.
Needy even when injured.
My type, for real.
Focus, Alessandro. What the fuck are you even saying?
"Call me if you need help with anything." My eyes darkened as it roamed up and down her body. "Anything at all."
She must've gotten the sexual innuendo in it because her body tensed. The way she quickly rushed to the bathroom made it more cute.
Later, Dina came in with the food. I watched her eat and even joined her because that was the requirement she gave me for her to finish up the food.
We also cleaned up her bruises together, with me clenching my jaw whenever she winced and me fantasizing how I was going to make them cry double.
My body tensed up when I felt her little arms wrapped around me, snuggling closer. "Thank you, Sandro."
Sandro
A nickname.
Good thing she was half asleep so she wouldn't see my cheek heat up to hearing her call my name in such manner - soft, sweet.
"Anything..." For you. That was the complete statement.
Saying it aloud weirded me out
"No one ever stayed to care for my bruises." She muttered lowly and then few minutes later, soft snores were heard.
I turned to her, moving her hair from her face. She looked so beautiful even with her eyes closed.
My heart thumped loudly in my chest.
Then I began to feel it. Something I didn't fucking expect.
What the....
