Chapter 23 She ran away?
Alessandro's POV
Jero?
Of all fucking persons, Je fucking Ro.
"You're squeezing the pen, Don. You good?" Stefan placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Don't fucking touch me." I hissed at him, shoving his hands away from my shoulder.
"Yeah right." He rolled his eyes, taking his seat. "The barrels are loaded and are up for inspection. Go do your fucking duty."
I snapped my head at him, glaring hard. "My fucking duty?"
"You don't pay me enough for this." He groaned, standing up.
"You're just a greedy fucker. White collar jobs wouldn't even give you the kind of money and privilege you get from being a made man." I scoffed, tossing the pen on the table nonchalantly.
"True that." He smiled, walking away. "We need to visit Gibson to finalize the deal so I'll be back."
Once he left, I picked my phone. My fingers hovered over her number. I had never called her to talk to her on phone.
When I call her, what do I say? Do I apologize for reacting the way I did? For tearing her paper?
I had read everything. I had quite a photographic memory but I may have acted overboard with my actions afterwards.
Fuck. I just didn't like seeing her free or be all smiley around men. Any man at all.
She could only be that way around me, if she was so desperate.
"Not reachable?" I stood up, dialing the number again. When it gave me same reply, I did what I hadn't done in years.
I called the house line.
"Is Madison Turner around there?" I asked, sternly when someone picked the call.
"She went out with - oh they're back." Dina spoke calmly. "Well, except I don't see her. Hold on."
Huh?
"What do you mean by you don't see her?" I gripped my phone tight. "What do you fucking mean by she went out? Dina!"
"What do you mean she ran away? Alessandro will not like that. But I told you not to take her out." I heard Dina yell over the line.
They have got to be fucking kidding me.
I hung up, calling Jero as I took my keys from the table as I left the warehouse. I came here earlier to check in my new goods and to send out some.
"Where are you going? We have to see Gibson." Stefan yelled, following me.
"Gibson can fucking wait. I have to reach the Manor." I didn't want to go deep into details. My chest burned from rage. "Where the fuck is the girl I put you in charge of." I roared into the phone when Jero finally picked.
Jero's stammering made it fucking difficult for me to understand him and so I hung up.
"I'll come with you." Stefan jumped into the passengers seat without giving me much of an option.
I wasn't even in the mood to argue much. I just wanted to confirm what I had heard.
"Something is definitely wrong." Stefan muttered under his breath, his hair flying as the harsh breeze slapped his face. I was driving in full speed. I could care less about the fucking authorities at this point.
Nobody dared stop my car. They all chose preserving the lives of their lineage.
When I got into the compound I didn't bother to shut the door as I jumped down from my car. "Where the fuck is Madison?" I asked immediately I got inside.
"Alessandro! Alessandro!" Kat walked up to me, her eyes red. "I promise I had her until I came out from where I went to pee and saw all my shop... all my shopping bag on the ground. My purse was emptied." She began to cry, tears rolled down her cheek. "She stole from me and ran away."
I scoffed, pulling out my gun from my back pocket. "Don't fucking play with me, Kat."
"Hey! Hey!" Stefan stepped in front of Kat, raising his hands up. "Calm down. This is De Luca's child bro"
Like hell I cared.
"I'd shoot you and fucking shoot her if she doesn't tell me where she kept Madison." I removed the gun from safety, placing my index finger on the trigger.
Rage infected my whole body like a virus penetrating it's host. All I saw was red.
"I swear! I swear she ran away without my notice. She was so happy when we were going out. I found it suspicious but I... I thought maybe it's the feeling from being locked up." Kat continued to cry behind Stefan.
I took the gun back to safety, bringing it down. "Fuck!"
Madison. I was going to fucking kill Madison if I caught her.
I had so many questions I wanted to ask Kat. Like why she didn't move with bodyguards and why she fucking chose to go out with Madison. Just a lot of questions.
"Somebody fucking get me Jero!!!" I screamed, clenching my fist.
What if someone else abducts her? I'd fucking severe his brain from his body. It was a fucking promise.
"He went to scout for her." One of the guards said.
"Alessandro, I say we wait for them." Kat suggested, earning a glare that could send her to her early grave.
I don't fucking wait. I act.
"Get the team looking, Stefan. Call them folks out there, tell them to fucking track my girl down. Madison must not leave this city." I growled.
My head banged. My eyes heavy.
"Yes, Don." He nodded, tapping away in his phone. His work mode was activated. At least he was taking this serious, even though it had to do deal with Madison.
Not like he had a choice.
"And you." I pointed at her. "Don't you ever fucking take Madison out of this house without my permission. Have I made myself clear?"
"Y.. yes Don." She jerked back, looking at the ground.
"Fucking annoying" I muttered under my breath, going into Madison's room.
The room still scented like her. A mixture of lavender flower scent and vanilla. It was a natural scent that she walked with. A scent that followed her everywhere and lingered around.
"I'd get you back. Just watch." I cleared her call log. She didn't need to know I called her.
What was outside that I couldn't bring inside for her?
I didn't trust her safety outside there and that is why I wanted her under my nose.
"So fucking ungrateful." I hissed, slamming her door. "Get out of here!" I yelled at the maids lurking around.
Calm down, Alessandro. You're letting her get to you.
I had to advice myself. I walked into my office, pouring myself a glass of whiskey.
I was restless. I felt powerless not knowing anything. Nobody was getting back to me.
"No." I picked up my keys, pushing the untouched glass of whiskey away. "I'd go fucking look for her myself. Incompetent fuckers."
Just as I opened the door, I met my aunt, Claudia.
"I heard that Madison is missing."
"What? Your little puppet already told you?" I spat in disdain, eyeing her.
"Kat should be your top priority right now. You should look forward to crowning her the mother of your heir, not going after some riff-raff?"
I raised my hand up, stopping it half way as I glared at her. I curled my hand into a fist.
She scoffed. "You want to strangle me?"
"Look -" My ringing phone cut me midway. "Speak." I said to Stefan.
"We have gotten her. What do I do to her?"
"Don't touch her." I sneered, side stepping Claudia. "Leave her to me."
