Chapter 102 Rave
Madison's POV
The tears had ceased for a while
But my heart hadn't stopped aching.
I know there was a time I wanted nothing to do with Alessandro but that was long before I knew him...
Before I saw him.
Before I fell for him.
I still couldn't believe he openly said he wanted nothing to do with me anymore.
I thought we were in this together? I thought we were getting somewhere.
My eyes were blinking more than usual, stinging. A shuddered breath left my lips as I tried to push back the tears.
Ceased my ass.
Someone needed to teach me how to stop crying.
A small knock snapped me back to reality. One I would do anything to leave.
I didn't want to be here at all.
It was nice knowing who I was and all but if that would cost me the man I loved then I wanted to stay as Madison Turner.
I could never be a Salvatore.
"Hey baby sis." Santiago smiled at me, standing by the door. "You good? You've been indoor for a long while."
My mouth were sealed and I didn't have the strength in me to part my lips.
"I know it's hard adapting and all. However, you did it with Alessandro. You can do it here too." Santiago said, walking inside the room. "We're here for you. Your whole family."
"It's ...it's different with Alessandro." I croaked, turning my face to the other side.
I didn't want to look at him or anybody.
"Give us a chance, will you? Give father a chance." The bed dipped, telling me that he had sat down.
He placed his hand on my shoulder.
"We're not saying you should come around so fast but don't take too long." He squeezed my shoulder lightly.
"Why? Why can't fa...father allow me be with him?"
I knew why but I hoped they could just forget their differences...
For me.
If they truly loved me.
"Because baby sis, he's bad news." Santiago tone suddenly turned hard. "His family is bad news."
"Your family hurt his!" I defended, turning to frown at him. "Of course he'd retaliate. Of course he'd want to always fight you guys."
Santiago stood up, his face squeezed.
"You won't understand." He sighed, turning away. When he got to the door, he looked at me. "Ivano can only be calm for a short while, Baby Sis. You better come off this mood."
Ivano this. Ivano that.
Like I cared about all those.
He could do his worse.
Hopefully his worse was sending me back to Alessandro.
Please.
Santiago shut the door forcefully, giving out himself. Just like his father, Alessandro spiked him up too.
Poor children, inheriting their father's fight.
I made a mental note to apologize to him about my betrayal. It kinda felt awkward knowing that I worked against my brother.
Even more awkward that he tried making conversations with me after what I did.
Sighing weakly, I laid on my back looking up at the white ceiling. Just like the walls and everything inside this room.
All white.
Too, too bright for my liking.
I had grown to love dark things.
The sound of my door knob being rattled impatiently had my heart jerking up, memories of the bad times crashing through me.
My chest heaved up and down as I waited for whoever to open the door. What was so difficult?
"Stupid door!" Bianca growled, arriving with a big box. A very big one.
She tossed it on the ground, frowning at me as she banged the door behind her.
"I am not your errands girl. Whenever you order for something, you go verify and pick it up!" She warned, pointing her fingers at me.
The girl hated my guts.
It didn't even help that I was the legitimate daughter to her parents. Uncle actually.
She was Ivano's late brothers child that he took in as his.
"But I didn't ..."
"Oh shut up. Even your voice is annoying." She eyed the room, turning around. "I always wanted this room but they never let me have it. Now I know why. They kept it all for you. Why do you get the good things!"
Good things?
"You think I want all of this?" I yelled, jumping out of the bed to face her.
Maybe we could talk with our fist, if she was down.
"Pretender. We all know you want this. All these attitude is just for a while." Bianca sneered, eyeing me up and down in pure disgust.
"Not everyone wants what you want, Bianca. I don't want any of this."
"Then fucking leave! Die! Run away. Just stop existing. You're ruining everything I have worked hard for. I worked hard to earn Ivano's trust and just when he was actually treating me so so well, you showed up." She spat cruelly.
My heart ached for her but she was missing my point as well.
"Just get out of my room, Bianca." I sighed, turning away.
She held my hand. Repulsively, I caught hers, squeezing tight. My eyes were red.
"You're... You're hurting me." She said, panic evident in her voice.
"I don't care about you or whatever you're feeling, Bianca. If you cross my path, as well as lay a finger at me, I'll ruin you." I warned her through gritted teeth.
"You think you s..scare me?" Her voice trembled.
"I mean it, Bianca." I shoved her hands away.
"Arghhh!! You're so annoying. I'll make sure you regret coming back into our lives. Trust me!" She screamed, shutting the door behind her.
I was about to lay down back on my bed when my eyes caught onto the large black box.
Black box.
Something dark.
It reminded me of only one person.
Only him made such difference in a place. Only him did something different from other.
If the world was running, he'd walk.
If others were mourning, he'd celebrate.
Letting out a shuddered breath, I crouched down, gently pulling open the box.
A loud gasp left my lips, my eyes growing wide as I flew backwards. My chest heaved up and down, my eyes following the little thing around as it wagged its tail.
"A Cavapoo" I whispered, tears welling up in my eyes.
The puppy barked cutely at me, snuggling into my body.
"Are you mine?" I asked, carefully picking it up. It barked, licking my face.
For the first time in days, I chuckled.
It jumped out of my hand, running to the box, barking consistently. I crawled to the box, bending it so I could see what was making it back.
A letter?
I asked myself, picking it up.
"Happy...Happy Birthday Raven. You deserve the best."
My lips quivered, my hands clutching the paper tight.
Alessandro.
He remembered my birthday.
The puppy barked at me, turning around. I ruffled it's furs, crying softly.
"I'll name you Rave."
"Oof!"
