Erin's POV
I covered my face and looked at Dad in shock.

"You bitch! How dare you ruin the Moore family alliance?! Do you want to die?!"

I stared at him in disbelief, hearing what he called me. Bitch?

Although I'd known he didn't love me, hearing him address me this way still hurt.

"It's all because of you. Your dad's illness hasn't even healed and he had to come here!" Hilda fanned the flames from the side.

"Yeah, sister, what can you do besides making Dad angry?" Gloria chimed in, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction.

I took a deep breath and tried to respond calmly.

"Who I marry is my own business! "

I held my head high, suppressing the grievance and anger in my heart.

But Dad cursed angrily. "What a joke! You're the one acting like a slut, running around with homeless men, ruining your marriage with Kai! If your sister Gloria hadn't won Kai's affection and saved the alliance with the Tomas family, do you think a piece of trash like you would still be standing here alive?"

Every time, Dad compared me to Gloria.

He could only see Gloria's good points but turned a blind eye to the harm Gloria and Hilda caused me.

Gloria stepped forward to support Dad, helping him calm down while adding fuel to the fire.

"Dad, don't get so angry it hurts your health. Although sister isn't a virgin anymore, she's not completely unwanted."

Gloria's words seemed to remind Dad.

Dad became even more furious.

"You're no longer a virgin! What use is a dirty woman to the family? Your sister and I introduced you to Mason and Mark, and you ruined both! Do you want to bankrupt the family company?"

In Dad's eyes, a woman's chastity was most important. A woman without chastity was the dirtiest trash in the world!

Even though I was his daughter, my greatest use to him was using my body for marriage alliances.

He not only cursed at me angrily but raised his hand to slap me again!

Before I could dodge, I saw a large hand reach past me and grab Dad's wrist.

The next moment, Kingsley appeared beside me.

He glared coldly and forcefully flung Dad's hand away. Dad immediately stumbled backward, taking several steps before steadying himself.

"What are you doing!"

Gloria and Hilda quickly supported Dad from both sides. Gloria glared at Kingsley questioningly.

Dad's face was extremely ugly as he pointed at Kingsley angrily. "Who are you?"

"Dad, he's the boss of the equestrian club. Last time he helped sister bully me!" Gloria said angrily, speaking first.

Dad stared at Kingsley up and down, his eyes showing disdain as he spoke mockingly.

"So you're the one keeping my daughter? A small equestrian club owner dares to lay hands on me! What are you?"

"Now you know Erin is your daughter? Weren't you just calling her a bitch and whore?" Kingsley sneered. "What's wrong with being an equestrian club owner?"

Dad's face darkened as he turned to me and cursed. "You bitch, is this your taste? Just a small boss, is he very rich? Or do you think since he doesn't mind you being damaged goods, you'll throw yourself at him? How did I give birth to such a shameless thing!"

I was about to retort when Kingsley interrupted me.

His hand around my waist tightened, seeming to comfort me silently.

"Whether I have money, how much money I have, that's all earned through my own efforts, unlike you who has to make money by selling your daughter!" Kingsley's eyes were cold, his tone mocking.

Dad's face darkened. Gloria beside him tugged at his sleeve and whispered something in his ear.

After she finished, Dad's eyes immediately showed calculation when he looked at Kingsley.

"What selling daughter! Bullshit!" Dad broke free from Gloria and Hilda's support, stepped forward, and spoke loudly.

"You're the one who complained to the Baker family don? You must have been deceived by this little bitch! She's jealous of Gloria. Everything she told you is fake!"

I was speechless and pulled at the corner of my mouth. Is this how Gloria deceived Dad? Too bad they didn't know Kingsley was the Baker family don they'd been trying to curry favor with.

Kingsley and I exchanged a glance, both reading the speechlessness in each other's eyes.

"Whether it's fake or not, I'll judge for myself!" Kingsley's eyes were full of impatience. He probably didn't want to continue communicating with my stupid father either.

"You..." Gloria wanted to lose her temper but was held back by Dad.

"Don't be ungrateful. Erin, this stupid woman, will only bring you misfortune. I'm doing this for your own good!"

Then he turned and arrogantly gave Kingsley an order.

"Since you know the Baker family Don, I'll give you some face. Go tell him to stop targeting the Perez family."

Hearing this, Kingsley couldn't help but laugh out loud.

He looked at my dad and Gloria like he was looking at idiots.

"What if I'm not willing?" Kingsley raised an eyebrow.

"You really think you're something! I'm the don of the Perez family. With my money and power, killing you would be a matter of minutes!" Dad cursed.

"Really?" Kingsley asked, his eyes deep.

Watching Dad's arrogant appearance, I suddenly felt embarrassed and amused.

"Scared? If you're scared, hurry up and do what I said. If you handle things well, I might reluctantly let this little bitch stay with you. She's already dirty anyway, so take her if you want her!"

Dad saying this about me made me extremely angry. My whole body trembled with rage.

Kingsley patted my waist and gave me a comforting look, indicating he would get justice for me.

Then he took out his phone and made a call.

"Smart of you!" Seeing Kingsley make the call, Dad's smugness was barely concealed.

He must have thought Kingsley had compromised.

"Exactly, wouldn't it have been easier this way!" Gloria stepped forward and took Dad's arm, smiling. "Dad still had to step in!"

But when Kingsley spoke, everyone was stunned.

"Pass the word down. Prohibit all family companies from cooperating with the Perez family. Anyone who disobeys will be dealt with directly."

"What do you mean?" Dad's tone became heavier as he questioned Kingsley.

"It means no enterprise in the entire Varedo region will cooperate with the Perez family anymore!" Kingsley's eyes were cold as he spoke each word slowly.

I looked at Kingsley in surprise, completely unexpected that he would be so decisive. But I was happy inside. I wasn't a family appendage! I had my own life!

Why should Dad humiliate me just because he couldn't use me for marriage alliances!

"Bullshit! Stop pretending. Do you think you're the Baker family don?" 

Dad seemed to think Kingsley was playing him. He pulled out a gun and pointed it directly at Kingsley mockingly. "Kneel down and apologize! Then speak properly again!"

Seeing Dad raise the gun, I instinctively moved to shield Kingsley.

As soon as he finished speaking, Dad's phone rang.

He answered the call, and his face immediately changed.

"Impossible!"
