Chapter 87 The Hit II
It was better he knew she escaped than to let any of his enemies have a hold of her.
“Alright Don!”, Andreas said, still looking at Luciano.
He watched as The Don raised his head, his green eyes becoming obvious as he raised his head.
He went back to his phone, trying to distract himself from thinking too much of the lady that tugged at his heart strings.
He had zero awareness of his surroundings as his thoughts were drowned by Isabella.
He only snapped out of his daze as they arrived at the mansion, having no idea a group of men were on to them.
He missed Madam Paula’s meals, in his opinion, the food he had in Tuscany was rather bland.
“Fancy!”, Nico simply commented as they each caught a peek of the estate in question.
“Do you think he's the only one living there?!”, another one of their men asked as they rode back to their hideout.
“We can't say for sure! Let's leave the conversation till we get back!”, Sebestian said, disconnecting the comms as they had completed their reconnaissance mission.
Back at their hideout, the men walked back to Sebestian's office, propping themselves on a makeshift conference table with the plans on it.
“Boss! Are you really sure we are going to carry out this hit?!”, Another one of Sebestian's men asked as they all sat, a picture of Luciano on the table.
Quite fed up with the amount of reactions he'd been getting since he heard the news, Sebestian started, “ Look!
I'm not trying to force anyone on this mission.
That's the door right there! You can choose to walk out!”
The men who had become like family to each other stared amongst themselves, wondering who was going to walk through the door.
No one did!
The risk was glaring, very glaring! However, they would stand with Sebastian's decision.
Despite their different back stories, the men had become like family, with their bond getting stronger by the day.
Sebestian was their leader, and he had always led them right!
However, the men didn't know what the outcome of the mission would be yet.
“Gentlemen! You've all decided to stay!
Thus! I expect you stick to that decision through the end…!”, Sebestian started, looking at the men on the table one after the other.
“A hit has been ordered on Luciano Rossi! The Italian Mafia Don! Thus, we need to be very precise with how and when the hit would take place!”, Sebestian said as he took Luciano's picture and hung it on the board behind him.
“He was the one we tailed earlier!
So, all the information we have gathered is that he lives or at least dwells in the estate for this period of time…”
“Is he the only one living there?!”, One of the men asked, wondering how they were going to infiltrate, or how they were going to go about the mission at all.
“I honestly don't have an answer to that question, but, we have the next two weeks to plan this accordingly, to the very last detail!”, Sebestian answered, assuring the men the project wasn't something to be executed that soon.
“We have been promised access into the estate and the mansion he owns there, however, we have to have an actual plan to go about it!”, Sebestian said as Nico drew out the plans.
Everyone had something to input to the mission.
In quick succession, Sebestian ordered for an incognito drone to survey the area.
He ordered some of the men to go around the estate to look for other exits just in case the original plan went south.
Some men were tasked to get Intel on when he arrives and leaves the office.
He and Nico would talk to the person who ordered the hit, they needed his cooperation as well.
Especially since he offered a way into the estate.
With the amount of security they briefly saw, they needed all the help they could get.
Sebestian watched the men leave his office, his mind racing with possibilities.
He had one single thought as he headed the reward for actually carrying out the hit.
It wasn't going to be easy didn't mean it wasn't impossible.
As the men went about their days, Nico closed the door behind them, sharing a look with his brother as they hadn't had a conversation since they set out.
“Beer?!”, Nico asked Sebestian as he walked towards the small stocked up freezer in Sebestian's office.
“Yeah!!”, Sebestian answered, taking a seat on his office chair.
“You still haven't told me why you didn't reject the hit!”, Nico said as he sat, placing the beer and an opener in front of brother.
“What do you mean reject?!”, Sebestian asked, wondering what his brother was talking about.
“You're going against the Mafia Don Seb!
The Mafia Don!
From what I've heard, he's trigger happy!”, Nico said, taking several gulps from his opened bottle.
“Just because it's easy doesn't mean it can't be done!”, Sebestian simply said as he opened the bottle as well.
“Damn!
I can't make you rethink this decision in any way?!”, Nico said, still trying to convince his brother.
“Absolutely not!”, Sebestian answered, making eye contact with his brother.
“Shit! About ten of us are going against his entire army!”, Nico pointed out, looking back at the door through which the men walked out.
“We can make it work! Especially considering we wouldn't be going against him in broad daylight!”, Sebastian said, having pondered whether that was the best way to take out Luciano.
By using the element of surprise.
“But really! Who would have thought the man had enemies!”, Nico said, wondering what Luciano had done to offend the person who ordered the hit.
“He has a whole lot!
The ones we know and the ones we don't know!
The ones we see and those we don't see!”, Sebestian said.
“You still haven't told me who ordered the hit though!”, Nico said, staring his brother dead in the eye.
