Chapter 86 The Hit
“...It's the Mafia Don, don't you think we're walking right into our deaths?!”, Nico asked his brother as they conversed about the new job they had gotten.
Organized crime ran very deep in Luciano's world, especially as it concerned the Mafia.
It turns out someone was crazy enough to order a hit on the Italian Mafia Don himself! The Luciano Rossi.
As contacts only employed for the job, the brothers deliberated, going about the details of said hit.
“It's our job to carry out a hit! We've already been paid in advance already! We have to carry the job out whether we like it or not!”, Sebestian, Nico’s brother countered as he sat on the chair, the printed plan before him.
“I can't believe you actually want to go ahead with this!”, Nico said, shaking his head as he looked at the picture of the renowned Don again.
“I'll suggest you take a seat! You wouldn't be the one pulling the trigger anyway!”, Sebestian said as he pointed towards the other chair directly in front of him for his brother to sit.
“Whichever way we decide to go about it, don't you think he'll sniff us a mile away! This is literally The Don we're talking about!”, Nico interjected, still in disbelief.
He really couldn't believe his brother was about to get them killed.
“Don't you think I'm aware of that?!”, Sebestian asked as he raised his head slightly, cocking his head to the side.
“It doesn't look like so! You want to go against the Mafia Don!”, Nico interjected, aggressively placing his helmet on the table as he took a seat.
“Quit lingering on that fact and help me come up with a good plan!”, Sebestian said, shivers going down his spine.
He knew who he was going up against! However, he was too in need of the cash at that specific moment to think about actually getting caught.
A couple of men against an entire army, Sebestian could really be overambitious sometimes, Nico thought as he stared at his brother.
“How couldn't I? Have you thought about what happens if any of us get caught? What would happen to this small operation?
Hmm?”, Nico probed, genuinely wondering if his brother knew what he was doing.
“Look!
I'm not going to talk about this any longer
You either chose to walk out or help me come up with a plan!”, Sebestian said, avoiding his younger brother's question.
He just wanted to be done and over with so he didn't have to think about the wrath of the Mafia Don.
Especially if things didn't go according to plan.
Perhaps Nico's decision would really make one realize that blood was much thicker than water.
Despite being aware of half the things Luciano could do to them, his grip on his helmet loosened as he knew he wasn't going to leave his brother.
The outer corners of Sebestian’s lips tugged lightly as he lowered his head back to the plans.
“So the Intel reports he will be back here in two days time, however, we need to be very discreet because we need to get his location first…!”, Sebestian started as he briefed his brother on how best to go about their latest project.
Said bonding time made them realize how incognito the Mafia Don had been.
He didn't frequent clubs much, especially in the last few days for some reason.
His assistant handled the meager jobs, reducing his presence in the public.
He just suddenly went very private.
If they were going to carry out the hit, they needed to know his location, thus, they had to follow Luciano to his house or wherever he was heading to.
“I have eyes on!”, Sebestian said, his helmet over his head, concealing the mouthpiece, hiding his identity and minimally blocking out noise as he discreetly followed after Luciano's convoy
“Copy!”, Nico said as he and some other bikers scattered themselves on the road in an attempt to follow Luciano to wherever he was headed.
“Maintain positions!”Sebestian ordered as they kept following the convoy at the same pace.
“Not too close!”, Sebestian cautioned as he saw one of the men going to a very obvious position.
They were meant to remain discreet throughout the first stage of the mission.
Any unusual movement any guard sniffed or at least suspected, that would literally be the end of them.
So as to avoid being detected, the bikers including Nico and Sebestian steered away from the convoy’s sight.
They continued the process until they reached high end estate gates.
“Disassemble!”, Sebestian simply said as they drove past the gates like they hadn't been following the convoy for a while.
“We aren't going to be carrying out the operation today!”, Sebestian simply explained to the rest of the men as they went back.
Sebestian knew more than anyone the risk he would put himself and his men in if they had followed after Luciano at the specific time.
He wondered if the man in question had sniffed them or gotten suspicious of the multiple bikes that were in a close range with his convoy as he was driven back to the estate.
The man in question laid with his head on the headrest, his eyes remaining closed as Isabella's face remained in his head.
Luciano still remembered the construction of her face till the most minute details.
“Any updates?!”, He simply asked his assistant as his eyes still remained closed.
Very aware of what The Don was talking about, he simply said, “she still hasn't been found yet!”.
Luciano knew this, however her absence tugged at his heart.
“The men have started going about Italy in general, searching the cities one after the other. Do you want me to broadcast the search to other groups?!”, Andreas asked as he reported the situation.
Andreas watched Luciano's blank face as he awaited his response.
“Let's wait a while before we do that!
I don't want the men to get the wrong impression!”, Luciano answered.
