Chapter 81 Chills
“Or, how about you ask him! Yes! You can ask him if he knew where Isabella went to! Or if they already found her!”, Mrs Morales completed, harboring hope that Luciano would answer their request.
“Me?
You want me to call The Don?!”, Mr Morales asked, fear looming in his heart.
He didn't particularly have good history with Luciano.
“What do you mean by that? Didn't you know how to call him when you wanted to take out the loan?!”, Mrs Morales asked her husband.
“Ohhh! Really? That's what we're doing?!”, Mr Morales asked his wife.
“I don't know what you're talking about!”, Mrs Morales humphed, folding her arms before she turned her back towards her husband.
“I knew you weren't past that yet!”, Mr Morales said.
“Well how did you now if you still aren't afraid of him?!”, Mrs Morales asked, her back still turned.
“Why would I be? The man strangeld me because he thought I was keeping my daughter from him!”, Mr Morales defended.
“All I just asked was a question! You didn't need to get so offended by it!”, Mrs Morales said, slightly turning from her position.
“You know what, just forget about it! I'll see how far I can go before he completely shuts me out!”, Mr Morales said, waiting for his wife to turn towards him.
“You will?!”, she asked coquettishly as she turned towards him.
“I will.
We can't keep having petty fights like this!”, Mr Morales started, gauging his wife's reaction.
“I agree with you!
We need to have a united front so we can get Isabella back!”, Mrs Morales said in agreement.
The couple's heart rate would definitely sky rocket if they found out about the recent developments concerning Isabella's whereabouts.
Keeping them out of the loop indeed did them more good than harm.
It would go a long way in avoiding any spike in their blood pressure.
The mansion remaining rather quiet and tension ridden, the staff stuck to their posts, busying themselves so as not to incurr the wrath of an angry Don.
“I'll be in my room!”, Madam Paula said as Mia finished up with the dishes.
“Alright ma'am!”, Mia answered as she watched Madam Paula approach her room.
She had been waiting for such an opportunity for quite a while now.
Luciano had left the mansion along with Andreas to Tuscany, thus, they were the only two staffs left inside the mansion.
Mia quickly completed the dishes she was tending to, approaching her room for something sinister.
Heading towards her bathroom, Mia went back to ensure she had locked the door to her room properly.
She approached her bathroom yet again, closing the door behind her.
She approached a misplaced tile on the wall, removing it to reveal a burner phone.
Bringing it out and turning it on, Mia saw several messages from an unsaved number, giving her instructions on when to call.
Thus, she did, dialing the one number on the phone immediately she read the messages.
Mia listened intently as a door shut close in the distance, with wide eyes, she realized it was outside the building.
The phone continued to ring, Mia slightly scared as she wasn't intent on getting caught.
“Hello!”, the deep voice said as soon as the phone was picked.
“Hi my love!”, Mia replied gently as she was suddenly calmed by the voice she heard.
“Have you been attentive to the details?!”, the man asked, getting straight to the point.
“Yes I have!”, Mia said, ready to report all the happenings of the mansion she knew about to the man!
“Alright then! Go ahead!”, the man urged as Mia spoke about the most exclusive details of the mansion to him.
“Good work!”, the man said.
“Thank you! Will you need me to do anything else!?!”, Mia asked, more than ready to carry out more tasks.
“Hmm, nothing for now!
But I will need your help in the coming days!”, Mia heard.
“Continue to check up on the phone in the coming weeks! I'm planning a little something for your boss!”, the man said again.
“Alright then!”, Mia acknowledged as the man cut the call.
Like she had brought out the phone from the space, she returned it effortlessly.
Securing the space with the tile, Mia left her room to the living room to catch up with her series.
Oh, this is the one the pharmacist didn't have!, Isabella said as she looked at the drugs and prescription before her.
The doctor had earlier given her some drugs to take to reduce the dizziness and the morning sickness, but the pharmacy in the hospital didn't have it all.
Why didn't I see this before!, Isabella asked herself as she wondered if she was truly going to get the drugs that same night.
But I could just get it tomorrow, Isabella thought before she remembered it was the drugs for the morning sickness.
I really can't take that morning sickness, so I'll just go know, she concluded as she got up to change.
Deciding to keep the baby had been charged with so much emotions and advice from Celia.
Thus, she was going to raise the baby!
As much as the baby had been a part of Luciano, it had also been a part of her as well.
After all, she had conceived to actually be pregnant.
Might as well get it over with, Isabella thought as she got dressed.
She really didn't want to deal with the morning sickness.
Deciding to just take cash and her keys, Isabella paid more attention to not getting cold as she already decided to keep the baby.
She got to the pharmacy in no time as it wasn't to far from her apartment.
She had been lucky enough to get the last of the drug, brightening her mood as she mentally patted her back for being attentive to her intuition.
What her intuition didn't tell her about was the robbery she would experience on her way back to her apartment.
“Stop there!”, Isabella suddenly heard as she was about five blocks away from her apartment.
The gruff voice was followed with a gunshot directed to the sky.
“I said stop there!”, Isabella heard again as she Subconsciously put one hand on her belly.
