Chapter 80 Helpless
“I might abort it!”, Isabella admitted.
She watched as Celia widened her eyes like she had said something atrocious.
“Abort it!?!”, Celia asked, just to be clear that she heard her well.
“Yes Celia I might!
A baby isn't exactly what I came here for!”, Isabella answered.
“And you want to abort an innocent child? You're basically killing it!”, Celia said, still wide eyed.
“I didn't intend for a baby in the first place!”, Isabella said, raising her voice a tad bit.
“I don't think I can do it!”, Isabella admitted as she bursted into tears again.
Isabella being vulnerable like that was a surprise to Celia.
The cold breeze blowing from the opened balcony being the only form of ventilation in the small living room.
“You need to start keeping this closed!”, Celia said as she went forward to actually close the door.
“We don't want you getting sick! The baby is still very small you know?!”, Celia said, earning a side eye from Isabella.
“Who said anything about keeping a baby?!”, Isabella said, looking so funny with the streaks of tears on her cheeks.
“I'm just saying! What if this child is the greatest blessing you ever know?!”, Celia asked, giving Isabella something to think about.
“But, I'm not ready for a child now. I didn't come all the way here for a child!”, Isabella said, being very honest.
Her intentions were far from raising a child, especially one she wasn't ready for.
“Look, I am way too tired for a whole discussion…!”, Celia started, rubbing her temple.
She continued, “...but I'll leave you with this.
You say you aren't here for a child! I get that! However, I understand you're feeling overwhelmed at the moment …!”
“Yes I am
How am I going to bring up a whole child?
I don't even know how to take care of a new born!”, Isabella said as she interrupted Celia.
“I know you are Isabella! Wait what do you want me to call you?!”, Celia asked, Slightly straying from what she was talking about.
“You can call me whatever you like!”, Isabella replied.
“Yes! So about the baby! I'm not trying to tell you what to do! But, have you thought about abortion as actually killing the baby?!”, Celia asked again, bringing her hands towards Isabella's flat stomach.
She watched as her question silenced Isabella.
“Look, there's a whole life in here! What if this is the best thing that ever happened to you?!”, Celia asked yet again as she watched warm tears roll down Isabella's cheeks.
“Its okay to cry and feel helpless, but, I'm here if you feel like you're doing this alone! I'll be here every step of the way!” Celia reassured.
Her whole speech had been enough for Isabella to come to a conclusion.
For once since she got the news, she didnt feel helpless and she didn't feel like she was doing something wrong.
She wrapped Celia in a hug still teary eyed.
Parting from the hug, Celia said, “I'll leave now, but, I want you to make a decision by yourself! You have the whole of tomorrow just to yourself. You can call me whenever you please!”
“Okay!”, Isabella said in a hoarse voice as she was still crying.
“You shouldn't be crying Isabella! You'll be fine, we'll be fine!”, Celia said, wiping Isabella's tears.
As Celia left, Isabella had already come to a conclusion, one set to change the course of her life.
However, coming to that conclusion, Isabella had marvelled at how close she had become with Celia.
They had built a sister bond, one she wasn't able to get with her actual blood sisters.
As she saw Celia enter the cab through her balcony, Isabella looked back at her apartment, wondering how she would make space for the baby.
We'll both sleep in the bedroom, maybe the baby’s cot will be by my bed because of emergencies, Isabella thought as she approached her room.
Staring around, still looking at the multiple designs she could come up with, she subconsciously brought her hands to her stomach.
Still rubbing on the flat area, Isabella recalled how the baby was created.
I should stop this, she thought, thinking about the pain she felt as Luciano forced himself on her.
Mr and Mrs Morales sat in front of the monitor as Mr Morales sent the sum of ten million Euros to the account Luciano provided.
“Like that, we have come to a sum of sixteen million and eight hundred thousand!”, Mr Morales said as the virtual receipt appeared on the monitor.
“Who really would have thought we'll make such an amount from farming!”, Mrs Morales said as she thought back to when her husband suggested the prospect.
“Exactly!
Well now I'm glad we now have a stable way of paying back to The Don!”, Mr Morales replied.
“What?!”, Mr Morales asked his wife as he noticed her facial expression when he mentioned The Don.
“Nothing! It's just that I've been worried about Isabella!
Didn't he come here the other time looking for her?!”, Mrs Morales asked, completely facing her husband.
“He did! But that just made me wonder what he has been doing to Isabella!”, Mr Morales said, confessing his greatest fear.
“We don't even know if our daughter is doing alright!”, Mr Morales continued.
“Do we even know that he's telling the truth?!”, Mrs Morales asked curiously.
“I wish I had an answer to that, but, he seemed so serious! He even strangled me! See!”, Mr Morales said, showing his wife the bruises on his neck from when Luciano strangled him.
“If she isn't with him, then where could she be?!”, Mrs Morales said, expressing her curiousity to her husband.
“We don't even know if she's okay!”, Mr Morales said, putting his monitor to sleep.
“I just hope she is! I really hope she is!”, Mrs Morales said getting teary eyed.
