Chapter 46 Supple Lips
“You have an invitation!”
“For what?!”, Luciano asked, grabbing the tablet to see the virtual invitation.
“A gala!”, Andreas replied as Luciano read the contents of the invitation.
It was an invitation to a gala after all, but he didn't feel like going.
“What's the chance we still get the deal if I don't go to this gala?!”, Luciano asked.
“Twenty percent!”, Andreas replied flatly.
“I need a tux!”, Luciano simply said as he sighed.
Standing up, he headed towards the wine cellar which was by the side of the lake house.
“I'll be back in an hour!”, Luciano said as he left the main house, the hoodie he had brought down the stairs in his left hand.
There actually was an invitation.
One sent by Luciano's rival dealer, Mei Ling.
Mei Ling was a beautiful Chinese woman who had made a name for herself by buying and selling crates of weaponry.
She had come off as too seductive during an event with Luciano, and he didn't want anything to do with her other than business.
She had offered him a beautiful deal, one that he couldn't say no to.
Chances are she would change her mind if Luciano didn't attend the gala.
~~
Luciano approached the wine cellar, still bare chested as he stopped in his tracks.
He looked towards the spot he had given Isabella a mouth to mouth resuscitation earlier, and he finally got to think about how supple her lips were.
It was one of those few days where would step away from the demanding job he had to carry out as the Italian Mafia Don.
It really could be pretty tasking sometimes.
He closed the door to the cellar behind him, dropping the hoodie on the chair, Luciano grabbed a random bottle of wine along with a cup before he went back to sit on the chair.
His mind wasted no time in drifting back to the thought of Isabella.
‘She could have died today!’, Luciano thought as he poured himself the wine in a glass cup.
Sure, he had unalived people before, but, that didn't mean he wanted Isabella unalived.
He hadn't planned that she would draw his attention this much, she was only meant to work for him while her family paid back what they owed.
He hadn't predicted that she would almost die!
Fighting the urge to want to see how she was doing, Luciano made a decision.
He was going to leave her alone.
His sick thought of tormenting her like she tormented him vanished from his head.
It seemed like probing a reaction out of her seemed to be pushing her to the extremes.
He had never really pondered on a human being except he was carrying out a mission.
‘His mission with Isabella?’, Luciano asked himself as he tried to come up with something to justify the thoughts he was having.
They had shifted, but it was good that he was getting the clarity that he needed.
Looking at the bottle which was already half way, Luciano simply settled to go about his operation like he usually did.
‘Fine, I'll give her back to her parents when I'm fully paid!’, Luciano thought.

Madam Paula and Mia were rather surprised to see the entourage of Vehicles drive into the mansion's compound.
They had originally been cleaning the yard, but they stopped abruptly as they suspected who the security in the vehicles were protecting.
“Why are they back so early?!”, Mia asked Madam Paula as she saw Andreas come out from the front seat of one of the cars.
“I don't know! the Don didn't tell me they'll be back early!”, Madam Paula answered.
She quickly approached the entrance, seeing that Isabella had already gone in.
“Go check on Isabella! I'll go to welcome the boss!”, Madam Paula said as She urged Mia to go meet Isabella.

“Isa!”
“Isa!!”
“Isa!!!”, Mia called out as she approached Isabella's room.
“Where are you?!”, she asked as she didn't see Isabella in the kitchen.
“I'm right here!”, Isabella said as she popped her head out of her room.
“You know sometimes I wonder why you walk so fast.
Why do you sound like that?!”, Mia asked as she approached Isabella's room.
“Well that's because I almost drowned!”, Isabella said ever so casually as she walked to the small bag she brought back with her.
“What do you mean?!”, Mia asked as she caught up with Isabella.
“It's a situation where someone is overwhelmed by the liquid called water!”, Isabella replied.
Mia rolled her eyes at Isabella's answer.
“I mean, why do you say it so casually. It is a big deal Isa!”, Mia said
“Yes Mia, I'm aware! But I'm fine now!”, Isabella reassured.
“I can see that!”, Mia said.
“How did it happen?! Are you okay!?”, Mia pressed.
“I was about to set the lakeside area for The Don and his guests. I carried some cups on a tray and I almost tripped.
Thus, two fell in the lake!
