Chapter 14 Situation in Venice III
“What happened?!”, Luciano asked, opening his eyes to see Andreas.
“There's a situation sir!”, Andreas said as Luciano widened his eyes.
“What happened?!”, Luciano asked, intrigued.
“It's about the man in the cell!”, Andreas answered.
“What about him?!”, Luciano asked again.
“His head was blown off when we got to the cell!”, Andreas answered.
“What?!”, Luciano asked in disbelief.
He quickly stood up from his chair, grabbing the tablet Andreas pointed towards him.
“The security cameras didn't show anyone entering after you. His head suddenly blew up after that!”, Andreas reported.
“Whoever is behind this is very clever! They just don't want me to know their real identity!”, Luciano said in realization.
“Come on!”, Luciano said as he approached the designated cell the man was unalived in.
“How did it happen?!”, Luciano asked one of the men who stood guard by the cell.
“We don't know Don, his head just suddenly blew up!”, the man answered, looking at his feet, too afraid to meet Luciano's eyes.
Turning to the cell, he surveyed the part that splattered on the walls, the body, the chair and parts of the cell.
“Clean his brains up!”, Luciano ordered as he approached his office, Andreas right behind him.
“It seemed like there was a bomb in his head!”, Andreas speculated.
“I don't think so! A bomb like that wouldn't be so wide ranged. Did you see the splatter from his head?!” Luciano asked Andreas.
‘There's a rat!’, The Don realized.
“Come on in!”, Luciano said as he opened the door to his office.
“Bring this!”, Luciano said as they took a seat. He stretched his hand to receive Andreas’ tablet
“ THERE'S ANOTHER RAT HERE!”, Luciano typed as he passed the tablet back to Andreas.
Seeing the text, Andreas said, “well then, work needs to be done!”, keeping his words vague, just in case there was a listening device in the basement as well.
“Turn on the audio section in the cameras!”, Luciano said as they tuned in to the live feed from the cameras in the basement.
The audio part of the cameras were dormant, recording information, but never put to use until it was needed.
However, in the situation at hand, it would be useful.
As if on cue, a voice recording played, revealing that there was indeed a rat in the basement .
“I placed the bomb on his neck sir.
Yes it is done!
Yes boss!”, They heard from one of the guards who were guarding the cell.
Something about hidden cameras…
They always came in handy.
“We have our guy!”, Luciano said.
“What if he has cyanide in his mouth as well!?!, Andreas asked.
“I don't plan to keep him alive for long!”, Luciano said.
He continued, “the nerve of that guy. He looked me in the eye and spit lies!”
“You're going to do something for me…!”, Luciano said to Andreas.
They quickly formulated a plan, one that majorly assures the rat or rats in their midst would give a reaction to.
Luciano had certainly not expected that a man who worked for him in Milan would change sides that easily.
They soon gathered the men in one of the large rooms in “the basement!”
“All of you are gathered here today because there is a rat amongst us, and in the organization at large!”, Andreas started as soon as the men were gathered in the room.
“Several clues have shown that…!”, Andreas drawled as a loud gunshot echoed in the room.
Some of the men in the room faltered from the blood that had splashed as the gun was shot.
Luciano had used a sniper to blow up the rat’s head amongst them.
The gunshot sparked reactions in the room, but not the reactions he was on a lookout for.
A huge smirk spread on his face as he felt satisfied from blowing up the man’s head.
It was now time to give his little speech;
“Gentlemen I believe you wouldn't want your head blown…!”, Luciano drawled as he stepped out from where he was positioned.
“...I'll advise you not to cross me. No!! a more important advice,
if you cross me, you better pray I do not find out!”, He completed as he pressed a button on a remote.
“I placed the bomb on his neck sir.
Yes it is done!
Yes boss!”
The clip Luciano and Andreas discovered played on the flat screen.
“Any Intel you find useful, do not hesitate to let The Don know!”, Andreas said as Luciano left.

The death's of the men in the basement soon spread wide, striking fear into the hearts of people who were involved in the operation’s dormancy.
No one would have expected Luciano would do so much in such little time.
The growth of his operation was something he took ever so seriously, thus, he wasn't about to let all the work he put in go to waste.
Only by having a full on experience did Luciano realize that there was a lot going on behind the scenes that even his uncle might have not been aware about.
For precautions, he left a few men in different positions in the organization in Milan to give him reports on everything concerning the operation in Milan.
With the bare minimum of work to do, Luciano headed to the hospital to see his uncle.
\~~~
Luciano was rather surprised to see his uncle walking towards the exit, a gauze on his arm.
“Uncle?!”, Luciano called out as he approached his uncle, meeting him half way through one of the hospital’s hallways.
“Where are you going?!”, Luciano asked as he helped his uncle to a nearby seat.
“What do you mean where am I going?”, Luigi asked back.
“You're supposed to be on bed rest!”, Luciano said as his green eyes surveyed his uncle's shoulder.
“It's been two weeks, child! I'm bored as hell!”, Luigi answered, putting on a stern expression.
“Regardless, you have to be on bed rest till your arm is fine!”, Luciano refuted.
“My arm is fine!”, Luigi countered.
He continued, “I don't even need to hold guns! I can just work from home!”
“It's not about working from home uncle! It's about the fact that you aren't completely healed yet!”, Luciano said, trying to get his uncle to actually rest.
