Chapter 129 Space
The absence of the vans was rather poignant.
Enough for Andreas to raise an eyebrow.
The absence of the men was the next to be noticed.
It seemed like they left the compound.
However, he couldn't be absolutely sure!
From the looks of things, he could conclude that it wasn't good.
'The Don was going to be really mad!', Andreas thought.
"Did they say anything about parking the vans elsewhere!
Or did they say anything about leaving?!", Andreas asked the other men in the van.
"Negative sir!", one of the men answered, equally confused.
"Then what the hell is going on?!", Andreas asked as he was getting frustrated.
"We'll confirm sir!!", the men answered as they brought out phones to communicate with Isabella's party.
"Hold on for a minute!", Andreas directed as he alighted that van and approached the main door.
\~~~
The stunned family had just been recovering from the incident that just took place.
The one where Isabella left angrily.
Andreas could hear by the commotion in the house.
"What is really going on?!", Andreas asked himself as he started to blame himself for not following up prior to their arrival.
It wasn't really his fault, nobody would have thought they wouldn't welcome Isabella's visit.
He was definitely going to hear it from Luciano.
"What?!", Andreas asked himself as he heard the commotion from inside the house.
He knocked, however, he was surprised the door was open.
At such a conspicuous time in the night.
He walked in, unsurprised that Isabella or Sophia was in the room.
'They left', Andreas concluded.
"Where's she?!", Andreas asked the already calm family.
"She just left!", Mrs Morales answered.
Andreas cocked his head to the side in thought.
'Why would she leave?', he wondered.
"She left with her bastard baby!", Gia spat, still unwilling to see her situation with reason.
Andreas didn't know how saying such an information was relevant, but he knew the Don was going to be interested in why someone thought his child was a bastard.
"Are you sure you're not hiding her?!", Andreas asked.
"No, we're telling...!", Mr Morales' sentence was interrupted by one of Luciano's men coming into the room.
The family watched as they spoke in hushed tones.
"We won't take your time!", Andreas said before he took his leave.
Equally stunned by his departure, the family was very well aware they had crossed The Don...
Again.
He revealed that Isabella left and the security party went back to the Mansion.
Thus, she was all alone with Guiseppe, her driver and Sophia.
'Good thing Guiseppe is well trained!', Andreas thought, as he would be the only one to provide security services just in case.
They waited in the compound as several men tried to reach both their phones, Giuseppe and Isabella.
However, they were far ahead of them.
They had already switched off their phones.
Having no other choice, the men drove out of the compound, heading back to Luciano's mansion to report the news.
\~~~
The morning after, Isabella woke up to her daughter interested in her eyelids.
"Oh Sophia!", Isabella muttered in a sleepy voice as her sleep had been disturbed.
She woke up, leaving Sofia on the bed as she went to wash her face.
It turned out Isabella was interested in her eye bags and not her eyelids.
They had swollen up after she cried herself to sleep the night before.
She felt helpless and she felt like a pun.
However, at that moment in time, she just wanted to experience being outside before Luciano caught on to her again.
The night before, She told Guiseppe to check himself in.
Of course he resisted and there were questions, as the man feared for his life.
But, Isabella simply told him to take it as a day off.
He didn't get a lot of that.
Thus, the day belonged to Isabella and Sofia.
They started by going to the candy shop, then they went to the cinema. They shopped a bit before Isabella sat on a bench , enjoying the evening breeze and taking pictures.
\~~~
Tailing them had revealed Isabella wasn't who he thought she was.
Nico had expected a spoilt lover, one who's arrogance couldn't be contained in a room.
Instead, he was met with a simple woman, one who loved her daughter.
Why he was tailing her?
A mystery soon to be uncovered.
He approached them, clad in a casual outfit, seemingly enjoying the view as they did.
Without the helmet, without the intention of harming Isabella.
He simply had a message to pass to Luciano. A very vital one.
"So beautiful here isn't it?!", he asked as he took a seat beside them.
Isabella shifted to the side of the bench as she replied to him.
"It definitely is!", she said with a tight smile.
You wouldn't be especially welcoming to someone you've never met.
"I would have loved to come here with my brother!", Nico started as he released a deep breath.
"That's too bad!
Isn't he here with you?!", Isabella asked, engaging him in conversation.
"No, he died a while ago!", Nico answered.
"Oh my God!
I'm truly sorry!
I didn't know!", Isabella said as she gasped in shock.
She thought she had been insensitive.
"It's okay!
We only just met
You wouldn't have known!", Nico said as he brought a shopping bag close to Isabella.
"This is for your husband!", he continued, immediately rattling Isabella.
"What do you mean?
I don't have a husband!", Isabella tensed as she looked at the bag.
At that moment, she wondered why she had released Giuseppe.
She feared for her daughter's life if anything.
"I meant The Don!", Nico said, like he had been casually speaking before.
Without a word, Isabella started to pack her bags.
She didn't want to have a part in the conversation.
She went cold as Nico held her hand.
"You will get this package to Luciano!", He said as his tone went cold, mentioning Luciano to be specific
"And if I don't?!", Isabella spat, not considering her daughter in that specific moment.
"You will!", he said as he showed her a rather terrifying sight.
A gun!
"Now go ahead!
And don't peek!
He'll know!
Tell him it's a surprise!", Nico said as he hid his gun.
He watched Isabella pack her shopping bags as she put Sofia into her stroller.
"Don't worry!
It doesn't bite!
You really don't have to worry!", Nico assured.
She grabbed the shopping bag Nico passed to her.
She peeked inside to see an envelope.
She turned to hang it on the stroller, and there was nothing more in the bag.
Shaking her head, she turned to look at Nico.
Except, the man had disappeared.
She looked around but still didn't see him.
She didn't even want to know anymore, she simply ensured her baby was safe before heading back to the hotel.
Afterall, she had news to report
