Chapter 124 Possibly His Baby
"Did The Don say anything about coming today?!", Mia asked Madam Paula as she entered her room.
"What do you mean?!", Madam Paula asked back, dropping the novel she was reading after she attached the bookmark.
She quickly stood up, heading towards the nearest window that faced the gates to confirm Mia's words.
"He didn't...!", Madam Paula drawled as she came to a halt by her window.
The only thing he had called beforehand to tell her about was to prepare a room.
A few days later, men and women had come to design the room.
A design which seemed rather odd at the time, it would soon make sense to Madam Paula.
She quickly rushed towards her phone which she placed on her bedside table.
He didn't call me!
Nor did he say anything about him arriving today...!", Madam Paula drawled again as she remembered what Andreas had told her before they left.
"...Except!!
It's not The Don!", Madam Paula squealed as she made the realization.
She dashed out of her room, literally sprinting towards the main door.
Who would have thought Madam Paula would ever react that way for a lady she didn't like from the beginning.
'Isabella!', she thought as she heard more cars drive in.
A specific van came to a halt right in front of the door where Madam Paula was eagerly waiting.
She couldn't reconfirm her suspicions from the tinted windows.
Andreas was the first to step out of the van, giving Madam Paula a knowing smile.
She wasn't ready for the surprise.
Isabella stepped out soon after, not too happy she was coming back to a building filled with such horrific memories.
She had made a mental note to tell Luciano she wasn't raising her child here.
Coming out from the side of the van that faced the gate, she would have her seen the warm welcome coming.
Madam Paula turned as she saw the familiar figure.
What she didn't expect to see was Isabella reaching back into the van to pick up something or someone...
A baby!
"Isabella?!", Madam Paula called out as she finally saw the lady holding a child to her chest.
"Madam Paula!", Isabella yelped in return, rushing towards her with a baby in her hand.
It was really a baby!
They embraced each other, pressing Sophia slightly between their arms.
The amount of hugging her mother did must have wore her out.
"I'm so happy to see you!", Madam Paula began starting to tear up.
"As do I ma'am!", Isabella replied with a huge smile as Sophia showed interest in the older lady her mother had hugged.
"It's been such a long time, like...!" , Isabella cut her off with a smile on her face.
"Three years!", she completed.
Madam Paula looked at the baby, seeing such obvious similarities with a certain someone.
However, she didn't want to cross a line by asking such an obvious question or asking what happened in the past.
She would give her a couple of days before she started inquiring.
As they made conversation, Madam Paula couldn't resist the cute baby who shwoed interest in her.
Thus, she quickly carried her, resting the baby on her hips as they conversed.
'She has changed so much!', Madam Paula said, noticing the short hair and the mature facial features.
Isabella spoke even more calmly...
"Isa!", Mia squealed from the main door as she ran towards Isabella who had just arrived.
"Why the noise?!", Madam Paula asked rhetorically as she headed inside.
She left both ladies by the van as they hugged each other.
Mia's acting sure was commendable.
Like she hadn't been trying to get information to ruin her boss.
A stellar performance, one sure to win an Oscar.

The welcome was warm, but a bit weird considering everyone kept staring at Sophia and had the same thought in mind.
It wasn't exactly something to ignore, Her genes didn't even try compared to Luciano's.
Their green eyes were really identical infact.
However, nobody was going to risk their life and ask questions.
They soon settled in the room Luciano had prepared,Andreas knocking hours later.
"Who is it?!", Isabella asked as Sophia hurried down from her lap and towards the door.
"Whozeezeet?!", she asked in her cute baby voice, mimicking her mother.
A small smile appeared on Isabella's face as she heard her daughter, she might not need to worry about getting Sophia to talk afterall.
"It's me! The Don wants to say something to you!", Isabella heard Andreas' muffled voice from the other side of the door.
"Zio!", Sophia said as her mother opened the door.

Very well aware they shouldn't be gossiping, Mia couldn't help but ask a few questions still.
"...But!
I can't possibly be the only that thought about the possibility!", Mia said.
"Torna al lavoro! Sei troppo ficcanaso!", Madam Paula retorted, quite curious herself.
"I can't help but ask...!", Mia drawled, scooting closer.
Her actions earned her a gakre, but the gossip was too hot to pass.
"Did she and The Don...!", Mia drawled again, making a suggestive look.
"Oh God Mia!
Get back to work right now!", Madam Paula said, rasing her voice a little.
"I mean
You're thinking about it!", Mia said as Madam Paula looked at her.
"But...!", Madam Paula drawled, looking towards the entrance of the kitchen.
"How did they...?
How where they able to...
You know!", Madam Paula asked.
The question had been bugging her for a while.
"Me too!
When did they do it?!", Mia asked back.
"Oh my God Mia!
I can't believe we're doing this!", Madam Paula said as she shook her head.
"But could it really be?!", Madam Paula asked, thinking back to the uncanny resemblance between both individuals, Luciano and Isabella's baby.
"It's really obvious that it is...!", Mia gasped as she made another realization.
"Could it mean they're...!?!", Mia questioned as she made hand gestures which translated to 'together'.
Madam Paula wasn't going to caught gossiping especially as they reached that stage.
"Keep chopping!", Madam Paula said as she moved to another part of the kitchen.
Mia simply shook her head.
It wasn't anything to be suspicious about, but it was more than enough news to report later.
