Chapter 113 Finally Meeting II
Back in Umbria, Sophia's birthday celebration was around the corner again.
Isabella had decided to make a tradition out of celebrating her daughter's birthday.
So there and then, mother and daughter stood right outside of Celia's house, just by Esteban's car as he dropped them off.
Yes!
The man had settled to be a friend to the beauty he had seen at the wine festival.
He hoped to work his way from a friend to a very significant other.
However, hope was merely yearning, sometimes not to be.
"Do you need any other thing!", Esteban asked as he had driven up to still see them standing by the locked gate.
Mother and daughter had stood there, waiting for Celia to come open the door for them.
"No...
Well...
You don't need to worry! We can just figure something out!", Isabella drawled, raising her voice so Esteban could hear her over the sound of the engine running.
"Is there any problem?!", Esteban asked, wanting to be of help to Isabella.
"There isn't...!", Isabella drawled, honestly wondering how to ask the man.
"Do you need help calling Celia?!", He asked as he turned to take his phone.
"There'll be no need for that. I already sent her a text message. She should be out soon!", Isabella answered.
"What then were you about to ask?!", Esteban inquired curiously.
Both their attention shifted to Sophia as she was giggling at the bird that had landed beside where they stood.
"We'll be going to get decorations later...
Would you mind dropping us off?!", Isabella asked, unintentionally making a pity face.
He didn't know if she was doing that on purpose, but Esteban was certain the woman had him wrapped around her finger.
"Sure! I really would love to...!", Esteban drawled as they heard the locks clicking open.
"Sophia!!", Celia squealed as Sophia ran slowly towards her.
She was fast enough to catch her midway so she wouldn't fall.
"I would drop you guys. That's not a problem.
However, I need to be in a meeting in a couple of minutes...!", Esteban said as he sat properly.
"Oh sure no problem...!", Isabella said as she backed further away from the Car.
"Drive safe!", Isabella continued, raising her voice even more.
"I will!", Esteban replied in equal fervor before he rolled up his window.
"What?!", Isabella asked as she turned to see Celia judging her with Sophia in her hands.
"If I didn't know better, I'll say both of you were together!", Celia said, closing the gate after Isabella.
"And you know we are not!", Isabella cut in.
Celia wouldn't stop shipping them, she honestly couldn't see him as more than a friend.
However, she didn't know if Celia always joked about it or actually meant it.
"Well ...!", Celia started.
"Birthday decorations!
That's what we're here for!", Isabella said, trying to distract Celia as they entered the building.
"I mean!
Cute Sophia...
There's a birthday girl in the house!
My sweet baby...
I can't believe you'll be two...
Such a cute baby!!!", Celia cooed as she brought Sophia to sit beside her on the couch.
Isabella didn't know how long the distraction would last, but what she knew was that Celia would stop talking about the man in the meantime.
"Have you decided the princess you want the birthday to be themed after?!", Celia asked.
"Should it necessarily be inspired by princesses?!" Isabella asked, sharing what she had been pondering.
"Well I'm not so sure!", Celia answered.
"I honestly don't even care anymore...
I'll just design the party with things princesses would probably like!", Isabella said.
The woman was frustrated! She just couldn't pick one princess.
"And how would you know what princesses like and dislike?!", Celia pressed.
"That's a question the shop managers would surely have an answer to...", Isabella drawled.
She smiled as Sophia babbled loudly and smiled widely.
She loved her daughter dearly, however, planning a birthday party was as stressful as it gets, especially considering she had to work at the same time.
One of the best day's off she had in a while, Isabella spent the day planning her daughter's small birthday party and talking to her best friend.
It would soon become one of the days she would look back on, when it was just her, Celia and Sophia.
Before everything that came with loving Luciano.
\~~~
The Don laid wide awake, unable to sleep and ready to meet the woman who had stolen his heart.
Not like it was overly late, but because he had been really busy attending to other important things, he could really use some rest.
His green eyes sparked with excitement as he recalled his itinerary for the next day...
Except the bugging feeling that came with thinking about the baby in her arms.
Of all, he didn't and wasn't looking forward to sharing his woman with another man.
But, that still didn't erase the fact that the baby could possibly be his...
Luciano stood up, the amount of thinking he'd been doing irritating him.
He stood up and went towards the drink and the glass on the table.
Room service had left it there as he ordered.
Pouring himself a drink, his solitude was disturbed by a knock on the door.
"Room service!", a feminine voice said from the other side of the door.
"Come in!", Luciano said as he took a sip from the glass.
Luciano's perfume and presence filled the room, and it was quite daunting.
The room attendant started to wonder if she could pull her intentions off.
Most of the female room attendants in the hotel loved the fancy life of some of their guests.
Thus their questionable practice of seducing a guest to be his company till he went back.
They really didn't mind that it was short term.
Alas, she thought she would succeed.
Luciano turned to see the attendant bending too low.
The shirt which was practically half open.
Her sultry looks, and her extra short dress.
He didn't need anyone to tell him what she was intending, he was all too familiar with their antics.
Disgusting
Luciano thought, immediately comparing her to Isabella who didn't even want to see him.
"Would you like...!", the attendant drawled before Luciano thundered.
"Get out!"
"But sir...!", she tried to refute by opening more buttons.
It only took Luciano cocking his head to the side to get her to scurry off.
He looked at the food she brought in and decided against eating it.
All of that didn't matter to him regardless, his reason in the city would be executed soon enough.
