Chapter 101 Wine Festival
After a lot of "I can't do this!", and "maybe I should just stay in with Sophia!", Isabella finally picked out a nice dress to wear to the wine festival.
"Here we go!!
A day out by myself without my daughter!", Isabella said sarcastically, as if saying it would actually make her leave her apartment.
"Ha! Ha! Funny!
Just go have some fun, I'm still here to take care of Sophia!", Miss Gina interrupted as she saw Isabella was hesitant.
"Is it too late to change my mind?!", Isabella asked, immediately slouching as she really wasn't feeling the event.
"Come on Maria! Just go have some fun!
You resume your monochrome life on Monday, might as well get some color!", Miss Gina said one more time before Isabella took a deep, heavy breath.
Miss Gina's words seemed to change her mind for good, she finally decided to attend said event.
"Alright then!
Hopefully I don't take too long!
However, if I do, I'll try my best to call or send a text!", Isabella said to Miss Gina before she went to kiss her sleeping daughter on the forehead.
"I'm still doing my job till Friday! You seriously don't need to worry about Sophia!", Miss Gina reassured yet again.
"I know I just don't...!", Isabella drawled as she was interrupted by a car honking gently and a notification represented by a chime.
"I guess that's Celia!", Isabella said as she checked her phone, confirming Celia's presence.
"Alright then!
Have a blast!
I'll stay up for you!
Me and Sophia have this really good show we've been catching up on!", Miss Gina said with such a big smile on her face.
"You have to put me on sometime!", Isabella said.
"Hmm!
I doubt it! You barely have time!", Miss Gina pinched.
"Oh wow! That's painful!", Isabella said, stepping out of the front door.
"Byee!
Have fun!", Miss Gina said as she closed the door behind her.
She saw first hand how Isabella had been working to provide a comfortable life for her daughter.
That made her slightly unavailable, but she tried to be with Sophia as much as she could.
She worried about the toll it would take on her when she starts to carry Sophia back and from her new job.
Miss Gina only hoped Sophia's new colleagues were kind enough.
Good thing Celia suggested the party, Maria really needs to have some fun, Miss Gina thought before she went ahead to do some of the things that would relieve Isabella even after she left.

"This gown really looks nice on you!", Celia complimented as she held the taxi door open for Isabella.
"Thank you!
You look great yourself
What about your family?
Aren't they coming with us?!", Isabella asked once the taxi started moving.
She definitely didn't see any of Celia's family members in the car.
"Ohh!
No need to worry about them!
They're already there!", Celia answered.
"Already!?", Isabella asked in disbelief as she looked at her phone for the time.
"Yeah!
They're even more passionate about it than me!", Celia said.
"Wow! That's beautiful!
What happens at the wine festivals in Umbria!?!", Isabella asked since all she knew were the wine festivals in Tuscany.
"There's a whole lot of snacks!", Celia said dreamingly.
"Well now that you say that I'm honestly glad I came with you!", Isabella said, quite excited to hear the snacks part.
The ladies arrived at the wine festival soon after, joining Celia's family as they had lunch.
Isabella actually missed a festive ambience...
All she had been doing was working, carrying a baby and working some more.
The wine festival looked so exuberant.
Isabella sighted some tourists taking pictures of the locals and the event in itself.
At that point, she was glad she left her apartment.
I can finally take wine!, Isabella thought excitedly as she thought of how far she was from home.
No parents breathing down her neck for drinking too much or drinking at all.
"What's this called?!", Isabella asked Celia loudly over the noise from the festivity.
"Huh?!", Celia asked back, having no idea what Isabella had just said.
"What's this called?!", Isabella asked, pointing towards the white wine that she just drank.
"Oh that's Sauvignon Blanc! It pairs really well with what you're having!", Celia said before she answered a question her family was asking her.
Isabella smiled briefly as she wondered how she had gone to some wine festivals and hadn't picked up on the names.
"Hey!", Celia called!
"There's a wine tasting going on right now, wanna try it out?!", Celia asked, thinking Isabella was curious about wines because she asked about the one they just had.
"Oh really!
Isn't everyone going?!", Isabella asked back wondering why everybody wasn't going to check it out.
"My family?
No
It's for tourists!
Locals are knowledgeable about wine!", Celia explained.
"Yes!
I really would like it!", Isabella answered.
The ladies dropped their cutlery and packed their purses before they left for the wine tasting.
It was a part of the wine festivals she hadn't been allowed to venture.
Now, she was going to gain knowledge about wines.
The lady hesitant to go to the wine festival seemed to disappear as Isabella enjoyed the ambiance.
Isabella learned about a variety of wines like Chianti, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, port and many more.
As she tasted, she noticed the differences in color, aroma, and flavor profile between each wine. The winemakers or experts on hand provided insights into the wine-making process, the grape varieties used, and the ideal food pairings.
Hey!
She even learnt the proper way to hold a glass and taste wine.
How insightful!
Isabella looked rather stunning as she gained knowledge, catching the eye of a gentleman, someone who happened to pass by as the tourists were being taught.
Her shiny black hair and suave composure drew his attention, thus, he blended in with the tourists, taking on lessons he already knew.
"Oh this is really nice!", Isabella said to Celia as she held the glass, savouring the Sauvignon Blanc from earlier.
"I know right!", Celia agreed.
"It's like I want a...!", Their conversation was suddenly interrupted by a gentleman who they weren't familiar with.
"Good evening ladies...!"
