Chapter 100 Change
"... Ma'am you have no right to say that to me!", Celia said In a controlled tone as the customer she was attending insulted her.
"I'll say whatever I want to, Troia!", the lady replied, furious because of the interaction between her husband and who she considered the lowly waitress.
"Me!?", Celia asked, grabbing a glass and ready to spring into action before Isabella appeared out of nowhere and grabbed her.
The amount of customers they had at the time was already a handful, and her legs were starting to get sore.
She didn't need a customer being rude to her because of her husband who couldn't control himself.
Who was even drunk in the afternoon?!?!
How annoying! Can't he keep his eyes to himself, Celia thought, already enraged.
The situation escalated really quickly as the woman got a good view of Isabella.
"Wow! I guess the restaurant only employs sluts like the both of you to wait customers!",The woman said, slightly shaking the table.
Her drunk husband didn't look satisfied with her actions.
She was shouting at the pretty ladies.
"Ma'am, is there any problem?!", Isabella asked politely, despite being slightly aware of the situation.
"Yes there is! Yes there definitely is! Explain why both of you are running around in tights distracting my husband!", she replied, earning side talks from the rest of the customers.
"We simply were just doing our jobs ma'am!", Isabella replied professionally.
"We are so sorry ma'am! But we'll ask you to leave now!", Mrs De Luca said unexpectedly as she was disturbed by the ruckus going on.
"Leave?!
What do you mean by that!?"
"It's either that or the police!", Mrs De Luca bellowed as she didn't give room for questions.
The whole restaurant watched as the lady packed her bags and helped her drunk husband up.
The man was ogling at the waitresses, completely unfazed by his wife's shouting.
Isabella felt invisible worms crawl on her skin from the way the lady's husband kept staring at them.
Disgusting!
She knew the scene all too well.
The woman would blame the lady in question, but her drunk husband had been the one ogling the whole time.
It was the same lady from the hotel when she first arrived in Umbria.
The audacity!
They left the restaurant, the wife complaining to herself as she dragged her drunk husband.
Isabella watched as Mrs De Luca calmed the customers.
Soon after, she got back to her work, trying to enjoy the last few days of waiting the restaurant.

Celia grabbed a stool right beside Isabella as she slammed the weightless napkin on the counter.
"Whooo!!!
Such a day!
It's literally just four!", Celia said as she took a seat, glancing at the wall clock close to the counter.
"Think we'll have more customers?", Isabella asked, wanting to get some time off of her feet.
"Maybe, maybe not!
I'm just glad we're getting a moment of silence!", Celia replied honestly.
"Here you go!", Isabella said, dropping a bottle of water right before Celia.
"Thanks! Tendered the letter yet?!", Celia asked, referring to Isabella's resignation letter.
"I already did! I officially stop coming to work in two days...
I mean here!
I still have work at the factory!", Isabella said, clarifying what she meant.
"Okay! That sounds good.
Will you be resuming immediately??", Celia asked, onto something.
"No! I'll be resuming next Monday!
I'm going to use that time to figure out how I'm going to go about my life with a baby, and without a doula!", Isabella answered.
"Why'd you say it like it's the end of the world?!", Celia asked, giggling because of Isabella's expression.
"It might be! I'm honestly so glad Sophia's not a fussy baby!
It could have been a whole lot worse!", Isabella said.
"See!
See!
She isn't! She's a really calm baby! Plus, I don't think she'll disturb you much while you're working!", Celia reminded.
"Well that's true! I just really hope so!
I get really scared when I think about the drastic change.
I just really don't want to mess anything up!"
"You'll do just fine on your own Isabella! You don't need to worry!
Like we said! Sophia won't give you much trouble!", Celia reassured.
"Ouuu
I just really hope so!", Isabella said, quite unsure.
"I know so.
When will Miss Gina completely move out ?", Celia inquired.
"On Friday!", Isabella answered.
"I meannn...!", Celia started, giving Isabella a suspicious look.
"You mean what?
I'm confused!"
"Let's go somewhere on Thursday! My family's attending a wine festival!
It'd be so much fun!", Celia suggested.
"Well! First of all!
There's a lot of questions...!"
"What's that?!", Celia asked.
"Like the restaurant, who's going to wait the restaurant?"
"Can't believe you forgot it's going to be a public holiday!", Celia teased.
"Ohh!"
"That pretty much sums up everything!
Sooo???!", Celia asked.
"So what?!", Isabella asked back, pretending to be oblivious.
"Come with me?!"
"I don't know!
I don't think I'll be going! I can't leave Sophia alone just yet!", Isabella replied.
"What?!", Celia asked in disbelief, she continued.
"You literally just said Miss Gina would be leaving on Friday?!"
"I don't know what you're talking about!", Isabella said, turning away from Celia.
"Is that what you're doing now?!", Celia asked in disbelief.
"What?!"
"Using Sophia as an excuse?!", Celia asked, Isabella turning the chair to evade the question again.
Turning the chair so Isabella would face her, Celia smiled eagerly, waiting for Isabella's confirmation.
"I don't know!", Isabella drawled, not quite sure about an outing.
"Think about it as an event for you! You've been working so hard to take care of Sophia, just do this for you.
Besides, Miss Gina would still be around to take care of Sophia!", Celia pointed out.
"Alright!
I'll tag along!", Isabella replied.
"Yayyyyyyy!", Isabella's response made Celia very happy.
Sounded good, a day off of work, away from rude customers and crampy backs. Seemed like an ideal plan.
"Speaking of Sophia, let's place a call right now!", Isabella said, bringing out her phone to place a call to Miss Gina.
She didn't get a lot of free time at work, but once she did, she liked to check in on Sophia.
The ladies spent the next twenty minutes making weird noises to get the baby to laugh.
Sophia did multiple times, quite excited to see her mummy in a rectangle.
