Chapter 31 I'm an expert
Ravyen's POV
Her hands shivered even without anything heavy upon it.
I could tell the tension in her look.
Did she think I almost shot her?
I'm an expert, I don't shoot until I identify my enemy. I boasted to myself.
However, she was sort of right, I almost pulled the trigger at her.
If the heartbeat I was hearing was hers, then she must be really afraid.
Oh! It's my own heartbeat, it raced heavily as in the fear of almost hurting her.
Gosh! My hands also staggered while holding the gun.
I quickly put it away back in my pants behind my back and rushed to hold her still.
Her hands were still suspended in the mood of holding an invisible tray.
While I approached her, her gaze suddenly turned to a frown. I couldn't control myself when I found her.
I hugged her tightly and apologized, but she pushed effortlessly and began hitting me up on the chest.
"You almost shot me!" she cried while she hit my chest harder. I was weak as every energy in me was wearing off.
"What were you doing sneaking inside here?" I suddenly stormed, leaving her alone.
"I thought you were a thief you know?" I added to the accusation.
She let out a frown and strengthened her fist as though she was getting ready for a fight.
"I didn't sneak into the kitchen" she rolls her and then added.
"I only came to get some snacks for my hungry stomach".
I could tell she was lying about sneaking in. Her unstable gaze said it all.
"Well! Are you going to tidy up your mess?" I reminded her, of the fallen tray.
"Ha!" She exclaimed to me and suddenly nodded sideways.
"You caused the mess, so you should clean it up!" She barked at me. I growled as she always has a way of pointing an error.
I was loving the conversation already, and I wanted it to continue for a little more time. Arianna hasn't spoken to me for some time now, I really miss her terror.
"You were the one holding the tray?" I reminded her once again.
"If you weren't holding a gun, the tray wouldn't have slipped from my hands" she argued again.
"Wow! So that's your excuse?", "I thought you are a strong woman? Are you really afraid of a gun?" I defended.
My words had penetrated her. She turned into an angry bird once more.
Gosh! Why do she always do that. She walked away from me.
"So you're just going to walk away?" I asked.
"I'm done talking to you Rav!" She made it clear.
"Please stay, you haven't eaten have you? I will tidy up the mess" I acted considerate to persuade her to stay a little longer with me.
I had clearly forgotten my actual purpose for wanting to meet her, which was the information Frank gave me.
It seems my soft words had calm her mind towards me, or perhaps it was the hunger she still felt.
Maybe she just used my words as a bait to fulfill her desires.
If that wasn't the case, she would have argued a little more before accepting my advice to return back to the kitchen.
She was vexed even while she dashed back to the fridge.
I chuckled subconsciously and apologized once more. But even after saying I was sorry, I just couldn't control my happiness.
I bent low to tidy up the mess she blamed me for.
Gosh! This woman always wins a quarrel. I wanted how I was going to put up with her if she suddenly wants my head off?
The mug had shattered badly on the floor. I would need a broom to pack it up.
I haven't used a broom before, I don't know if emergency rooted for this moment or I should just skip the mug cleaning.
I took a look at the lady who was indirectly monitoring me with a sided look.
It seems her eyes dares me. Something triggering.
I rushed into the store and grabbed a broom, and then I stretched my hands to make a break sound.
I always thought brooms where heavy, but it wasn't.
I took another look at her and then she took her eyes away immediately.
I made the first attempt of sweeping and the broken mug scattered into separate places.
"Oh boy!" I exclaimed almost quietly and observed what Arianna's expression was.
Her left hand was upon her mouth, I know she was laughing mockingly at me.
Her head shakes often while her shoulders joggled.
I was furious already, her mock penetrate me.
It's now or never.
I must prove to her that I am the perfect man that can do everything.
The broom's brush reached out for the pieces of mug from their different positions.
I tried my best to maintain a steady sweep, to avoid any further mistake.
The way she crunched the cheese in her mouth tempted me to peep at her.
I suddenly felt the urge for hunger and didn't know how to convey it in words.
I salivate just watching her eats seductively.
Gosh! What do she think she is doing.
I threw the trash in the trashcan, however it escaped to the floor.
Ah! I yelled angrily and left it there.
"Uh, um!" She made an insincere cough at me which frightens me to go back.
As soon as I put it in the trashcan, I made to leave.
However, her voice stopped me.
"What is that you have in on your hand?".
"Oh!" I muttered as I recalled the files in my hand.
Arianna's POV
He smiled suddenly to the question I asked.
I wonder what he was going to say now.
I am really glad he was here beside me, sneaking in the kitchen always and around the house was really tiring.
We seem to have gotten along already, forgetting the last incident that happened between us.
Or perhaps we were tired of pretending not to feel sorry for our actions.
He waved his hand at me showing me the envelope properly.
"Can you tell me what it is now?" I asked him as I was suddenly desperate to know what he was holding.
His stomach grumbles just when he was about to say a word and I got the hint.
I rolled my eyes as I knew he was probably hungry and have to share my meal with me.
I had eaten almost every thing we have in the kitchen for the days I snuck in.
I wonder if he had been eating
ever since.
