Chapter 144 She was fast
Ravyen's POV
I was curious, and kept my eyes high up. I knew I need to take the kids somewhere but then, shit, that rooftop had a mystery to solve.
I was almost climbing the stairs when Micheal held my hand and smiled at me.
"We're ready" he announced and I almost said a word when I heard a loud crash coming from the rooftop.
Hastily, I took out my ATM card and threw it to the kid, and told him the pin.
"Spoil yourself"
He ducked his head at me and Miller snatched it from his hand with a greasy smile.
I rolled my eyes from them and hopped on the stairs. I got to her door, nervous and curious.
I had a feeling the stranger was still inside judging from the noise I heard. Furthermore, the lights weren't switched on.
Quietly, just for the stranger not to run away, I tried figuring an open spot and that was the window.
I jumped, though tensed and stride through the dark room towards where the noise was coming from.
A ray of light could be traced around the bedroom and I increased my pace.
Fortunately, I haven't lost the person. The stranger threw the light on my face, perhaps, scruntizing me.
He was wearing dark outfit, with a mask on that concealed his face except his eyes.
Hastily, I intended to throw a kick at the stranger but he was quick to avoid that and I felt pain coursing on my face.
He had punched me and I scoffed. How was that possible?
Judging from the figure and the touch, it was a woman. The Torchlight in her hand fell to the ground and it pointed at her face.
I folded my lips, intending to engage in a fight and fuck, she was quick and she never misses her hit.
Perhaps, I wasn't hard on her because she was a lady but gosh she was strong.
Well, I'd mess her up. I had almost grabbed her when she threw a summersault with a foot and landed on my neck.
Her thighs clenched on my neck as I wrestle with her. Her hands grabbed my hair, jerking me to the back.
Her legs crossed on my chest as she struggled hard to twist my neck.
She was almost taking my breath away but I managed to flung her off my neck.
However, she landed on her feet and threw a flip.
Her hands grabbed my collar and the next thing, I felt my body ram against the wall.
However, I refuse to accept that. Quickly, in the dark, I tried to grab something to hit her.
Oh fuck, Arianna has no harmful object in this part of her room and I resumed to using my hands and legs.
However, my efforts were frutile as this stranger seems so good at dodging, invading kicks and my face received some slaps.
The skin on my face tightens as I folded my fist. I bared my teeth curious to know who she was.
I could see she was heading towards the window, to run away but I obstructed her path.
My feet pointed inward as I tried to maintain a steady eye contact. Placing my shoulders back and my chest high, I anticipated her next move.
She rolled around with a foot on the ground and the other arched high at my face for a kick.
I grabbed that foot, pulling her closer to me. Her body slam against me and I could feel she was panicking.
I could feel her hassle breath as I narrowed my eyes to scruntized hers but she was avoiding my gaze.
She tried to wrestle out of my hold as I grabbed her neck with a hand, so tight that she was choking.
I gave her a dirty smile, intending to take over the mask but she dodged my hand and swiftly used her palm edge to bang my hyoid bone.
Yet I wasn't willing to release her, I almost punched her on the stomach but she drew herself back, making her body slant.
I missed that hit and I realized I was holding her wrist with a hand and my other hand rubbed my sore neck.
I took that hand, folded it to a claw and intended to bend her over but she had grabbed my hand, firmly controlling that hand to punch my face with her strength.
She scoffed as she grabbed me by the shirt and threw me over her to the ground.
I unintentionally let go of her wrist and jumped up, still wondering how comes she's this strong.
She was heading to the window at the back. It was obvious she doesn't want to be sighted.
I almost grappled her shift but then she had rolled over, flew over the balcony from that height and landed on her feet.
Quite impressive. Hastily, I followed her, hating to be defeated by a female.
She was fast! Racing through streets and taking turns. Certainly, she was more familiar with this place than I was.
She took dark paths and keeping up with her pace was easy for me.
The stranger raced down the sidewalk, throwing glanced over her shoulders. I was close on her.
All it took was just a step and I'd beat her up to death. My heart pounced as I scrambled through the objects and trashes she threw at me.
She took a turn and I did so but that turn made me miss her! I kicked a foot at the air, growling and cussing.
Who the fuck was she? Did Arianna's ex hire someone else? This time a female assassin.
I was pissed off, trying to check my pockets to see if I had my phone. Unfortunately, I left it at naty's.
I growl the more, frustrated and wishing I kicked her hard. Well, I'd trace her because I snatched something from her while in Arianna's room.
I smiled naughtily as I took a card out from my pocket and glanced at it. It seems like a business card and I had ceased it from her pocket.
Frank would dig on it. Slowly, I took my step back, cautious of the path I took.
Arriving at the naty's place, I found her, Arianna at the pavement, as though waiting for me or she was.
I felt like embracing her, at least she was safe. Where did she go to and why was she returning this late?
I fumed at her as her eyes had worries, she drew closer to me, used a finger to sway my face left and right.
I felt abashed by that and I took that finger in my lips. It was salty. She widened her eyes at me and forcefully pulled out.
Our eyes met and they seem to be scruntizing me. Then she heaved a sigh, and said;
"Seriously? Ravyen? You broke into my house?"
