CHAPTER 27: - PUNISHMENT FOR SINS

All the members of the Kapoor’s and Sehgal’s family were waiting for this day to come. Viraj was very angry when he got to know that his daughter is nowhere to be found. She was his last hope, his key for his freedom. Deep down in his heart he knew that Yash was the one responsible to hide her. Viraj’s first suspicion went towards him. As Yash was only the one who asked for his further plan of escape. Viraj’s full focus is to leave to place and afterwards he will deal with Yash, for sure he was mentally prepared for it.

“Boss, the chopper and our men are ready for your commands.”

“Ok”, Viraj ended the call and an evil smile appeared in his face, he was sitting inside his mansion’s study room. Yash entered and told him that it’s the time to leave for the court. By seeing his father’s evil smile Yash came to know that his father had planned everything prior and all was going according to his plan. Yash was relaxed as he will not leave him alive for sure even if it results in his death. He is ready to sacrifice himself.

Inside the court all were anxious, tensed, and curious to know what would happen next. There was only one person who feared to hear his punishment for helping Viraj. He was David, today he will not take his steps back, only for his daughter’s happiness. He is ready to face everything as he knew Aarav is the one who will protect his daughter at any cost. With the sound of the shoes steps all turned their eyes towards the entrance gate, on looking at the person entering Aarav clenched and unclenched his fist to control his aggression since he didn’t want to create any scene inside the court. Maya held his hand to indicate that it’s all right and she will always be with him. Aarav smiled at her. Viraj was walking like a king; he didn’t care about anything which further increased Aarav’s anger. Yash was walking behind Viraj and he gave a curt nod to Aarav. Aarav understood the meaning behind Yash’s gesture calming that he is with him. Viraj before going to his seat he came in front of Kaviya who was sitting beside Darsh, until then Viraj started saying

“You, are just like your mother, always unwanted to me. But when I thought to accept you as my daughter you ran away instead of helping me. You are against me and you want to be with them. You are a disgusting daughter also a lifetime burden on me like your mother.” Viraj glared at Darsh and walked away. Kaviya lowered her gaze not wanting anyone to see her tears in eyes.

A feeling erupted inside Darsh he promised himself that he will never let Kaviya face any trouble or make her sad in any situation. He will always try to keep her happy and provide everything she deserves in life to her. Yash who noticed everything was having a diplomatic feeling. He was sad but at the same time he was happy. He was sad in the sense that he could not anything for his sister to ease her pain, whereas he was happy to know that Darsh is with him as a support. He also knew that they both love each other.

The judge arrives in the court and started his procedure, David was being called by Aarav’s lawyer to give his testimony in the witness box. David narrated the whole incident and accepted that he helped Viraj, his greediness made him to commit a crime. The judge decided that he will keep this in mind that he didn’t kill the innocent brothers. Before announcing the punishment Viraj’s lawyer made every attempt to put the blame on David to safe Viraj. But the game changes for Viraj and his lawyer when Aarav’s lawyer shows all the evidence which clearly showed that Viraj is a murderer. Viraj who was smirking all this time, all his reactions now got drained from his face after seeing all that evidence. He gritted his teeth as he was betrayed by his own son, he understood that Yash was the one who provided them with all these proofs. So, the final decision came, the judge declared that Viraj will be sentenced to death whereas David will spend his whole life in prison.

All the members presented in the court were happy and then the judge orders, “The court is Adjourned.”
