CHAPTER 15: - BREAKUP AND HUMILIATION

Aarav’s birthday was coming and soon he would be 20 years old. He never celebrated his birthday, as he didn’t like to be the centre of attraction. Being surrounded by people, never showed off in front of his friends that he was a person who is down to earth. But Yash told Aarav that he will be throwing a birthday celebration party in a bar for his best friend. At first Aarav never agreed with Yash’s plan, but after many pleadings by Yash Aarav agreed. If only Aarav could know Yash’s real intention behind hosting a party he would never have agreed. All the preparation and arrangements were done by Yash, he planned everything to separate them on Aarav’s 20th birthday. All friends from college were invited.

Maya and Aarav both spend, the day of Aarav’s birthday together, creating some beautiful and unforgettable memories by having fun on the streets, amusement park, and in a café where they won the best couple trophy. At evening both arrived at the venue in a bar were Yash hosted a party. Inside the bar people were having fun, some were dancing on a light music played on the background and with dim lights it was giving a perfect place, some were busy chatting, while some were lost in drinking sitting on a bar counter. Aarav caught everyone attention, Maya was standing beside him every body wished them happy birthday to Aarav.

Yash saw him from afar and curled his fist in anger. The time came to cut the cake, when Aarav was cutting a cake, Yash in a corner of the bar away from everybody eyes holding a glass of drink in his hands added drug inside the drink and stir it to mix the drug well with a drink and walked to handover the drink to Aarav.

Aarav was feeding cake to everyone with his hands with a never-ending smile on his face, Maya held him by Aarav’s arm and she took a small piece of cake and feed it to Aarav and placed a soft kiss on his cheek. Yash came and handed Aarav a drink and Yash made sure that Aarav drinks it. After Aarav drank that drink in one gulp, Maya dragged him for a dance. Aarav wrapped his both hands on her waist while she locked her hands on his neck and kept her head on his shoulders. Minutes later Aarav started to feel dizzy and his head was spinning as he whispered to Maya, “My head is spinning; I am not feeling well let’s get out of here.”

Aarav didn’t think any reason on why he was feeling like this. Whenever he visited bar, he felt this way. Maya worriedly held up her face to see him, sweats was forming on his forehead she held his face on her palms and they both walked out from the bar. Yash was watching their every move when they were about to leave the bar Yash also walked out from there and was waiting for them outside the bar for them to come out. Maya puts Aarav’s one hand on her shoulders and helped him to walk as he was staggering. When they came out Maya saw Yash talking on a call (Yash was actually waiting for them to come out, he was acting, pretending to talk on a call).

On seeing them he approached them and helped Aarav, they reached Yash’s car he made Aarav settled on the back seat of his car and told Maya that she should go home as it’s already been too late and dark at night. Maya agreed with Yash and she took the cab and left the place towards her apartment. When she was out of Yash’s sight, he also drove the car, instead of taking Aarav to his apartment he took him to an hotel where he had already booked a room on Aarav’s name. Aarav was not in his senses to know anything what’s going on with him. On reaching inside the hotel room Yash made Aarav sleep on a bed and ordered one of his men who was present outside the hotel room that early morning to bring the girl and told her to make it look like something happened between her and Aarav. At that time Maya called Yash to know if Aarav was okay or not. Yash lied to her that he dropped Aarav at his apartment.

Early morning before Aarav woke up as per Yash’s ordered his men bring a girl inside the room. The girl removed Aarav’s shirt, she herself was wearing a sexy night dress, and she had made the whole room look like they had spent a romantic night together. And laid beside Aarav. Maya was getting ready for university when her doorbell rang, she opened the door and was greeted by Yash. Yash without wasting any time he held Maya’s wrist and dragged her.

“Where are you taking me, leave my hand.” She snatched away her hand from his grip.

“I am taking you to see the true colour of your beloved Aarav. He is a devil person who wears a mask of being kind and innocent.” He held her hand again.

Maya frowned on seeing an hotel in front of her eyes. “Why did you bring me here, you said that last night you dropped Aarav at his apartment.”

“Yeah, I had dropped him but later one of my friends saw him coming here last night. Now come with me.”

Yash and Maya both were standing in front of the hotel room where Yash signalled with his eyes to open the door. Maya opened the door and the scene which she saw took her off guard. A girl was sleeping beside Aarav hugging him. Tears started to flow from Maya’s eyes and she was frozen on her spot. She felt hurt, betrayed and angered all at the same time. At that moment all her dreams shattered and collapsed. Maya was seeing and thinking what Yash wanted her to think, she didn’t believe in her love she didn’t trust Aarav. She had judged his character without even listening to Aarav’s side.

Aarav opened his eyes and touched his head which is paining, when he felt some weight on his body, he saw that a girl was sleeping beside him he immediately jerked that girl away from him, he got surprised to see him in that state. He looked around in a confused state and got shocked to see Maya standing on the edge of the entrance. He immediately approached her and tried to hold her hands but she backed off her steps and a sound of tight slap echoed in the room. Aarav slowly puts his left hand on his left cheek.

“I loved you, but you are a cheater and your love was also just a deception like you. Never show me your face ever again in my life.” Maya removed her ring from her finger, which Aarav had proposed her in a prom night. And hands ring on Aarav’s hand.

Aarav saw the evil smirk on Yash’s face. He understood that this was all planned by Yash. Maya ran away wiping her tears with the back of her hands. Aarav also didn’t make any attempt to stop her. He was hurt by her actions she questioned on his love for her, on her character. He was broken from inside because of Maya’s lack of trust in him. Yash followed Maya to make a fake console. Yash who already took the picture of Aarav and that girl before Maya arrived leaked it in the whole campus by “Aarav Kapoor is a Playboy.”

Review and thinking of all the students changed from Aarav just by seeing that one photo. Nobody was ready to listen to his side. Because of this Aarav had to listen to everyone’s bad mouthing, that he is a devil who wears a mask. His reputation got ruined, he felt suffocated in university and decided to leave the college. Yash felt happy seeing Aarav suffering in this state. Yash came to Aarav and told him everything that he had done, he made Maya hate him, she loved Aarav’s character of helping other so he destroyed Aarav’s character in her eyes and replaced it by Playboy. That is the time when Aarav decided to take his revenge from Yash by making him feel the same humiliation.
