CHAPTER 11: - THE HIDDEN TRUTH
Maya reached her home with her parents. As soon as they step a foot inside David received a call from Viraj, he ordered him to reach company’s office urgently, as he wanted to have an important conversation which Viraj didn’t want Yash and Kaviya to know about. David arrived at the company and moved to Viraj’s cabin. David entered, and closed the door behind him, and saw Viraj sitting on a chair holding a gun in his hand and playing with it. Viraj glanced and gestured David to settle on a couch which was placed in front of his table. David was in fear so he followed his commands and seated, Viraj was starring him from head to toe, Viraj placed the gun on the table.
“Did you ever lie or deceive me?” Viraj questioned in a cold and in an aggressive tone.
David’s forehead was sweating in fear on listening Viraj’s question. He gently wiped out his sweat with the handkerchief and tried to be calm in front of him on a thought that if he stood being afraid so Viraj would know that he is lying.
David, with lots of courage answered, “NO, I didn’t lie or betray you.” Staring in Viraj’s eye he answered to make Viraj believe that he is not lying.
Viraj leaned back on his chair folded his legs, placed his hands on the armrest and said, “What happened 22 years ago is between you and me, you say that you are not lying to me, so how come Aarav Kapoor look exactly like him?”
“It can be a coincidence that he is similar, in this world there can be a look-a-like of a person”, David replied. David thought that it’s better for him to leave his cabin, if he asked further questions then there will be no chance left to leave this place being alive. David stated, “If you are done with your investigation so I am leaving.” Then he exited the cabin.
Viraj’s doubt was not cleared he was not satisfied with his answer he knew that David is trying to hide something. He called one of his men and ordered him to collect the information about Aarav Kapoor. David reached home with a tense look, and was thinking that he should do Maya and Yash wedding as soon as possible, if Viraj finds out the truth of 22 years ago that he betrayed Viraj before wedding then he will not be able to get 50% of shares and Viraj will surely kill him.
The next day….
Aarav and Darsh step inside the company as chairman and CEO of the respectively. All staff members greeted and congratulated them. They both went to the conference hall of the company for presentation where all the investors of different company were present.
At Seghal mansion Maya was sitting around a dining table having her breakfast along with her parents. Yash came with his younger sister inside the dining room. David welcomed Yash and Kaviya and also invited them for breakfast with them. Yash refused his offer, Whereas Maya was completely avoiding Yash and busy chatting with Kaviya. Last night David had called Yash and told him to get married with his daughter Maya as soon as possible to which Yash agreed as he has a fear in his heart that once the truth is known to Maya, she will leave him. Also, he was afraid of the love which Maya carried for Aarav. As he already saw how She was looking at Aarav with lots of love loaded in her eyes. So today early morning Yash came with Kaviya to take Maya along for their engagement shopping. Kaviya felt sad for Maya because she was aware that she didn’t love Yash but someone else. Also, her uncle, David is forcing her to get married. Kaviya didn’t know whether to be happy or sad for her brother. But she knew the feeling of loving someone but not getting it back. Maya goes with Kaviya and Yash.
The meeting in the conference hall went great. Aarav had to go on a business trip for two days and also two days later there is an engagement of Maya and Yash. It was an evening both Brothers were seated in car returning back from office. Darsh’s phone pop with a notification and a charming smile appeared on his face looking at the text which was send by Kaviya. The message states that she wants to meet him at the park which is near from their mansion.
“I think someone is in love”, Aarav stated this to Darsh in a teasing and in a fun way. Darsh continued further, “Yaa, bro it is true, I love her so much.” They both smiled at each other.
