CHAPTER 10: AN UNEXPECTED CALL

Everyone was congratulating Aarav and Darsh for their new position in company. Kaviya came to Darsh with a smile on her face she held him by his wrist and dragged him along with her.

“Darsh come along I want to introduce you to my brother.” Kaviya told him while they were walking, Darsh just chuckled at her childish behaviour and replied, “sure, your brother also needs to know who is your best friend.”

Hearing the word best friend from Darsh, she got upset as she considers Darsh more than a best friend to her, in other words she loves him. As Darsh was not aware of her emotions, he was surprised as Kaviya was taking him to a place where Maya and Yash are standing together. Darsh eventually understood may be Yash is Kaviya’s elder brother.

Darsh stopped himself in between whereas Kaviya went forward and asked her brother “I want you to meet someone who is special for me.”

Yash arched his brow and turned his face towards Darsh and a smirk appeared on his lips. On breaking the distance between Yash, Darsh moved towards him, they both shake hands and Yash spoke, “I didn’t know that Aarav’s younger brother Mr. Darsh means a lot to my sister.”

Maya just listened everything, Yash gently holds Maya in front of Darsh, where he also settled his hands in his trousers pocket, and stand with a confident and fearless look on his face. “So, now that you are the CEO of your company you should know your rivals as well, and I am the only one of those.” Yash spoke coldly.

“Oh, so you are the CEO of Buildtech creations and I am glad to meet you Mr. Yash Malhotra”, Darsh replied in a mocking tone.

Yash turned his face towards Kaviya who is nervous and scared as what he would speak to her. Yash stated further, “Enemies can’t be friends, breakoff your friendship with him.”

Kaviya is on the verge on crying. Maya understood that Kaviya holds feeling for Darsh as she mentioned Darsh with a word someone special. Maya knew Kaviya since their childhood so she was aware of her gestures. Maya interrupted in Yash’s decision, “Yash, don’t interfere in their friendship you are rival only in business, so let them be friends.”

Kaviya became happy that Maya was here to support her. Kaviya knows if there is someone who can make her brother change his decision then it is only Maya. “If you say my love, then I will not interfere in their friendship.” Yash spoke and kissed the back of her hands.

Maya had ordered him for something for the first time so how can Yash ignore it. Darsh noticed the feeling of being uncomfortable in Maya’s eyes when Yash kissed on her hands, as she was trying to withdrew her hands. Just then Yash phone rang he frowned at the caller ID, excused himself and received a call.

Unknown: - Hello, Mr. Malhotra I hope you remember me?

A sweet voice of a woman came from the other end of the call. And Yash was stunned hearing her voice, he didn’t think that the women would ever call him.

Yash: - Why did you call me after long 5 years? What do you want?

Unknown: - It’s simple I want double amount of money, for the work which I did for you 5 years ago?

Yash: - I had already paid you the money for your work.

Unknown: - Back then, I wasn’t aware that you belonged from such a wealthy family, and the money you paid was quite less as compared to your status. And if you don’t agree than I will tell your would-be-wife, how you had snatched her love away from her.

Yash: - So, now you will blackmail me, you cheap slut. You didn’t know with whom you are messing with.

Unknown: - You have time till tomorrow night or else I will tell her the truth.

The women ended the call. Yash became quite tensed. He took Maya and Kaviya and left the party. Darsh was confused by Yash’s actions.

At midnight, the celebration got over all guest headed back their homes. The Kapoor members were also inside their respective rooms. Only one person was standing in the middle of the living room glancing at Aarav’s room door the person was Darsh. He was curious to know about Aarav’s and Maya past. He thought to asked their mother if she knows anything about Aarav’s past, as he was little bit afraid to ask directly with his elder brother as in this past 5 years, he made every attempt but all go in vain, at last he decided to go to London to know the reason, but he came back with only Aarav’s and Maya photo.

He walked towards their parents’ door he knocks and enters into the room. Bhavika was busy applying a cream on her hands she stops when she saw Darsh, “What happened son, is everything alright?”

Darsh sat beside his mother, “Yeah, mom everything fine I just want to know something from you.”

Bhavika kept looking at her son’s face, Darsh showed the photo of Maya and Aarav from his phone to his mother which he took from London’s café. Bhavika took the phone from his hand and saw the photo, “Do you know something about this girl mom?”

Bhavika put her hand on her chin and thought for a while and spoke, “I had met with her once in a mall, she is very good, kind and respect elders. And now I came to know that she’s Yash fiancé.

Then Bhavika noticed the boy behind her and she bounced her face towards Darsh, “Did Aarav knows her?” Hearing this type of question from his mother he understood that she is also not aware for Aarav’s past.

“They were once a very good friends”, saying this Darsh stood up, leaving behind his mother in a confused, he walked out of the room.
